  • In this paper, we propose AMV scheme which supports k-anonymization by using vectors for mobile clients. AMV can produces the minimal cloaking area using motion vector information of users (clients). The main reason for minimizing cloaking area is a server has to send the object information to all users who request the spatial queries. The experimental results show that the proposed AMV has superior performance over existing methods.

  • This paper describes a study on the automatic generation system of the interface for communication among AMBA bus and IPs with different protocols. Employing an extended STG, the proposed system generates the interface modules required for the communication among IPs with different protocols. For an example system, the interface module for communication between AMBA AHB bus and a video decoder has been generated and verified in its functionality. The area and latency have been compared with the manually designed interface. For burst-mode communication, the generated interface module shows the comparable performance with the manually designed module. For single-mode communication, the generated interface module shows a slightly worse performance than the manually designed module. However, the increased area is negligible considering the size of the IP.

  • The characteristics of printing inks are affected, to a greater or lesser extent, by the size and distribution of the pigment particles in the dispersion. Color strength, transparency and gloss increase with a decrease in particle size of pigments and with an increase in surface area of pigments. On the contrary, opacity and lightfastness tend to increases with an increase in particle size of pigments and with a decrease in surface are and particle size if pigments on the physical properties of printing ink which made up vehicles for sheet fed and organic pigment Lake Red C(C.I Pigment Red 53:1) that different surface area and particle size.

  • Virtualization of operating systems have already been developed and commercialized in the enterprise computing area. As the computing power of the embedded systems is growing, it is regarded that the virtualization is the important research area. The virtualization is typically established by the micro kernel. L4 kernel is the one example of the micro kernel. In this paper, we propose the architecture for virtualization of Linux over the L4 kernel.

  • In this paper we present an architecture, implementation, and performance evaluation of an adaptive communication system (ACS) for wide-area ATM clusters. Our approach capitalizes on thread-based programming model to overlap computation and communication and develop a dynamic message-passing environment with separate data and control paths. This leads to a flexible and adaptive message-passing environment that can support multiple flow control, error control, and multicasting algorithms. We show the performance of ACS applications and compare them with p4, PVM, and MPI applications.

  • This paper proposed correction tone density eq. and dot area eq. for perdict tone reproduction when dot gain is constant, and these are based on Yule & Nielson`s tone density equation. The experimental results show that proposed coreaction tone density eq. and dot area eq. are useful and valid for perdict tone reproduction of a half-tone image.

  • The differential global positioning system (DGPS) transmits a GPS enhancement signal using a top-loaded monopole antenna in the medium frequency range. The top-loaded antenna in the medium frequency band can attain a radiation efficiency on the order of 10%. The antenna ground plane characteristics affect the antenna radiation efficiency. To improve the radiation efficiency, it is necessary to install the antenna on a ground plane with large enough physical dimensions and good conductivity. The antenna radiation efficiency is a primary factor in determining the DGPS service area. The service area of the DGPS using a medium frequency band is dominantly affected by the antenna radiation efficiency. To determine antenna radiation efficiencies accurately, the antenna radiation efficiencies of DGPS are deduced from the propagation power in this paper. Based on the deduced antenna radiation efficiencies, the service area for the Korean nationwide-DGPS is analyzed and evaluated.

  • This paper investigates two-hop extension communication in wireless body area networks. Many previous studies have demonstrated that two-hop extended topology outperforms single-hop topology. Although many researchers have proposed using two-hop extension communication to improve link reliability, no one has considered using a relay selection algorithm or provided a suitable solution for wireless body area networks. The design goal of the proposed algorithm is selecting a proper relay node to retransmit failed packets distributively. The proposed algorithm configures the carrier sensing period to choose one relay node promptly without requiring additional interaction. We analyze the link conditions corresponding to various body postures and investigate which factors are proper to determine the carrier sensing period. The empirical results show that the proposed algorithm reduces the expected number of transmissions required to deliver a packet successfully.
