In this paper, we present a set of numerical schemes to solve the Muller integral equation for the analysis of electromagnetic scattering from arbitrarily shaped three-dimensional (3-D) dielectric bodies by applying the method of moments (MoM). The piecewise homogeneous dielectric structure is approximated by planar triangular patches. A set of the RWG (Rao, Wilton, Glisson) functions is used for expansion of the equivalent electric and magnetic current densities and a combination of the RWG function and its orthogonal component is used for testing. The objective of this paper is to illustrate that only some testing procedures for the Muller integral equation yield a valid solution even at a frequency corresponding to an internal resonance of the structure. Numerical results for a dielectric sphere are presented and compared with solutions obtained using other formulations.
Many three-dimensional object modeling and display methods for computer graphics and computer vision have been developed. Recently, with the help of medical imaging devices such as computerized tomography, magnetic resonance image, etc., some of those object modeling and display methods have been widely used for capturing the shape, structure and other properties of real objects in many medical applications. In this paper, we propose the reconstruction and display method of the three-dimensional object from a series of the cross sectonal image. It is implemented by using the automatic threshold selection method and the contour following algorithm. The combination of curvature and distance, we select feature points. Those feature points are the candidates for the tiling method. As a results, it is proven that this proposed method is very effective and useful in the comprehension of the object's structure. Without the technician's responce, it can be automated.

We propose a novel ring structure based on the stadium-shaped ring resonator (SSRR) with dual photonic crystal microcavity (DPCM) for biosensor and analyzed the sensing characteristics. The Q-factor of the photonic crystal microcavity (PCM) can be significantly enhanced when the PCM or DPCM has the same resonance condition as the SSRR. The simulation results show that the Q-factor of the SRR with DPCM was increased by three times in comparison with single PCM structure. We also defined a mutual interference between two PCMs. Assuming a detectable spectral resolution of 10 picometers, a refractive index resolution of $3.03\times10-5$ can be measured on the SSRR-DPCM.

This paper presents a plant control panel model for the analysis. Seismic qualification analysis for the plant control panel is carried out to confirm the structural integrity under the seismic conditions represented by required response spectra(RRS). For the analysis finite element method(FEM) is used. And mode combinations are adopted to obtain the reliability of the spectrum analysis. The analysis results shows that the plant control panel system is designed as a dynamically rigid assembly, without any resonance frequency below 33Hz. The calculated stress of the plant control panel system is much less than yield stress of used steel.
The relative dissociation constants of 4-substituted bicyclo[2,2,2]octane-1-carboxylic acids, 4-substituted quinuclidines, and 3-and 4-substituted pyridines were collected from a number of sources. In order to understand the actual substituent effects with a combination of inductive effect (σI) and resonance effect (σR) components. The DSP correlation has been employed statistically for each of the p-and m-series. The inductive effect from the m-position was 1.2 times more effective than that from the p-position and the requirement of σR+ for the best-fit led to the conclusion that pyridine system belongs to the σ+-class reactivity. Also compared with results from Yukawa-Tsuno's LArSR treatment and relevant treatment.

This case report concerns a young patient with an extremely rare combination of d-transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA) and anomalous origin of the right subclavian artery. In our patient, the right subclavian artery originated from the pulmonary artery, which is why he did not show reversed differential cyanosis. We conclude that the presence of an aortic arch anomaly should be considered in patients with d-TGA who do not present with reversed differential cyanosis. A further imaging work-up, including computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging, might be helpful.
Background: Hypoglycemia is uncommon in people without diabetes. There have been only a few reports of cardiac arrest in conjunction with hypoglycemia in non-diabetic patients. Case Report: A 66-year-old man visited the emergency room with dizziness. He was a chronic alcoholic. Laboratory test showed no evidence of diabetes mellitus. Brain magnetic resonance imaging revealed a left cerebellar infarction. Abdomen computed tomography demonstrated liver cirrhosis with minimal ascites. During his hospital stay, he consumed only a small amount of food because of nausea and headache. On hospital day 4, he had a cardiac arrest after two seizure episodes. His blood glucose was 10 mg/dL. The combination of liver cirrhosis, renal failure and poor oral intake was presumed to be the causes of the severe hypoglycemia. Conclusion: We report a rare case of cardiac arrest occurring in conjunction with severe hypoglycemia in a non-diabetic patient with cerebral infarction.
A 71-year-old male patient visited Yeungnam University Hospital with abnormal chest computed tomography (CT) findings. Chest CT revealed multiple lung nodules and a posterior mediastinal tumor, the diagnosis of which was confirmed surgically. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the abdomen showed multiple small nodules, which were diagnosed as cavernous hemangioma in the liver based on the pathology results of the mediastinal and lung masses in combination with MRI findings. Cavernous hemangiomas are benign tumors that can occur throughout the body, mainly in the skin and subcutaneous tissue. The liver is the most common internal organ containing hemangiomas, whereas they are very rarely found in the lungs or mediastinum.

Clustering plays an indispensable role for data analysis. Many clustering algorithms have been developed. However, most of them suffer poor performance of learning. To archive good clustering performance, we develop a hybrid neural network model. It is the combination of Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) and Adaptive Resonance Theory 2 (ART2). It inherits two distinct advantages of stability and plasticity from ART2. Meanwhile, by combining the merits of MLP, it improves the performance for clustering. Experiment results show that our model can be used for clustering with promising performance.

Purpose: The objective of this work to construct eigenvalue maps that have information of magnitude of three primary diffusion directions using diffusion tensor images. Materials and Methods: To construct eigenvalue maps, we used a 3.0T MRI scanner. We also compared the Moore-Penrose pseudo-inverse matrix method and the SVD (single value decomposition) method to calculate magnitude of three primary diffusion directions. Eigenvalue maps were constructed by calculating of magnitude of three primary diffusion directions. We did investigate the relationship between eigenvalue maps and fractional anisotropy map. Results: Using Diffusion Tensor Images by diffusion tensor imaging sequence, we did construct eigenvalue maps of three primary diffusion directions. Comparison between eigenvalue maps and Fractional Anisotropy map shows what is difference of Fractional Anisotropy value in brain anatomy. Furthermore, through the simulation of variable eigenvalues, we confirmed changes of Fractional Anisotropy values by variable eigenvalues. And Fractional anisotropy was not determined by magnitude of each primary diffusion direction, but it was determined by combination of each primary diffusion direction. Conclusion: By construction of eigenvalue maps, we can confirm what is the reason of fractional anisotropy variation by measurement the magnitude of three primary diffusion directions on lesion of brain white matter, using eigenvalue maps and fractional anisotropy map.
