  • 본 논문은 OFDM 블록에 파일럿 심볼들이 빗 형태의 패턴에 따라 배치된 경우, 가상 부반송파를 가지는 OFDM 시스템의 channel frequency response (CFR)를 추정하는 여러 방식들을 서로 비교한다. 채널 임펄스 응답을 먼저 예측하는 것이 목적인 minimum mean square error (MMSE) 기반의 채널추정 방식과 누설현상의 억제가 목적인 MMSE 기반의 채널추정 방식이 지금까지 비교되지 않았기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 후자 방식과 전자 방식의 mean square error (MSE) 값들의 차이가 양수가 됨을 유도함으로써 전자 방식의 우수성을 논리적으로 증명한다. 아울러 본 논문에서는 파일럿 수의 변화가 MMSE 기반 채널추정 방식과 least-square (LS) 기반 채널 추정 방식의 성능에 미치는 영향을 조사한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 채널추정 방식들의 성능을 정량적으로 확인한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 LTE-Advanced 상향 링크 시스템을 위한 적응적 채널 추정을 통한 고속 ICI 제거 알고리즘을 제안한다. 시변 채널 환경에서 위상 잡음과 반송파 주파수의 영향을 효과적으로 제거하기 위해서 comb type 파일럿을 사용하였다. 본 논문의 목적은 기존의 PNFS(Phase Noise & Frequency offset Suppression) 알고리즘보다 계산상의 복잡도를 줄여서 시스템 처리 속도의 향상을 가져오는 것이다. 중복되거나 불필요한 계산을 줄여서 계산상의 복잡도를 줄였다. 또한, 효과적으로 다중 경로 채널을 추정하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 적응적 채널 추정 방법을 이용하여 다중 경로 채널을 효과적으로 추정하고 보상한다. 제안된 방법이 Vehicular A 채널 환경에서 BER이 약 0.5 dB 정도 성능이 더 좋다.

어린 병아리에서 isoflavones 급여가 골격의 회분 함량 및 물리적 성질에 미치는 영향

  • Considerable beneficial effects on osteoporosis from soy intake in postmenopausal women are being reported (Murkies et al.1998, Arjmandi et al. 1996). Isoflavones(IF), one of phytoestrogenic substances in the soybean, have been suggested for the effect. Our preliminary study showed that even the young chicks fed IF-rich diet tended to have higher bone ash content than those fed IF-poor diet. IF have been reported to decrease bone ash content than those fed IF-poor diet, IF have been reported to decrease bone loss by reducing bone resorption. Soybean meal has been one of the most important protein sources in poultry diets. We assume that the IF intake through dietary soybean meal could give meaningful influences on the birds. This study was carried out to determine effects of dietary IF from soybean sources on bone development in young chicks. Soy protein concentrate (SPC, IF-poor)and an IF concentrate(Phyto-Nutramin) were formulated together with purified-type ingredients to provide three different levels(25, 240 and 480 mg/kg) of total IF. Control diet(240 mg/kg) was prepared with isolated soyprotein(ISP, IF-rich). The diets were fed to 96, 3-day old, layer-type, male chicks, divided into 4 treatments with 3 replications for 3 weeks. Chicks fed the ISP diet had better gain/feed ratios than fed the SPC diets. Birds fed the diets with higher levels of IF tended to show higher values in serum total and ionized Ca% and tibial bone density, length % ash, stiffness and strain. This trend however, appeared less significant at the end of third week. No noticeable differences in sizes of comb and testicle and serum alkaline phosphatase activities were observed among the dietary groups. These results suggest that dietary isoflavones from soybean sources could be associated with chemical composition and physical properties of bone in sizes of comb and testicle and serum alkaline phosphatase activities were observed among the dietary groups. Paenibacillus larvae에 대한 다클론 항체 및 그 응용 (Polyclonal Antibody against Paenibacillus larvae and its Application)

  • Paenibacillus larvae는 Gram양성의 내생포자 형성 세균으로, 꿀벌의 질병 중 가장 심각한 피해를 입히는 미국부저병(AFB)의 원인균이다. 이 P. larvae를 발병전인 봉군 또는 애벌레에서 보다 빠르게 검출하기 위하여 기니아피그를 이용하여 이 병원균에 대한 다클론 항체를 제작하였고 또한 그 항체의 성능을 평가하였다 제작된 항체를 이용한 ELISA검색법을 개발한 후, 다수의 P. larvae균주를 검사하였다. 그 결과 P. larvae ATCC 25748의 균체를 사용하여 제작된 항체는 ATCC 9545 (대표균주), ATCC 25747, 국내 분리 균주인 SJl5등과 높은 항체 친화성을 나타내었으며. 다른 세균 종들과는 반응하지 아니하였다. 또한 이 ELISA검색법은 미국 부저병의 현장검사에 적용하기 위하여 사용되었으며, 그 결과로 본 연구에서 제시하는 항체는 벌집 내 또는 애벌레 내에 존재하는 P. larvae의 빠른 동정과 모니터 링에 매우 유용함을 보여주었다.

  • A series of organoboron polymer electrolytes were prepared and their ion conductive characteristics was investigated in detail. Alkylborane type polymer electrolytes prepared by hydroboration polymerization exhibited improve lithium transference number due to efficient anion trapping of alkylborane unit. A lithium borate type polymer/salt hybrid was also successfully prepared by dehydrocoupling polymerization of lithium mesitylhydrorate. Ionic conductivity of single ion conductive polymer/salt hybrid was further improved in the case of comb like polymer/boron stabilized imido anion hybrid prepared via polymer reaction of poly(organoboron halide) with hexylamine and PEO monomethylether and subsequent neutralization with lithium hydride.

다공질 실리콘의 유기가스 검지 특성 (Sensing Properties of Porous Silicon Layer for Organic Vapors)

  • In this work, porous silicon (PS) layer is investigated as a sensing material to detect organic vapors such as ethanol (called alcohol), methanol, and acetone in low concentrations. To do this, PS sensors were fabricated. They have a membrane structure and comb-type electrodes were used to detect the change of electrical resistance effectively. PS layer on Si substrates was formed by anodization in HF solution of 25%. From fabricated sensors, current-voltage (Ⅰ-Ⅴ) curves were measured for gases evaporated from 0.1 to 0.5% organic solution concentrations at 36$\^{C}$. As the result, all curves showed rectifying behavior due to a diode structure between Si and the PS layer. The conductance of most sensors increased largely at high voltage of 5V, but the built-in potential on the measured Ⅰ-Ⅴ curve was lowered inversely by the adsorption effect of the organic vapors with high dipole moment.

  • The morphological and molecular characteristics of Pachydictyon coriaceum (Holmes) Okamura (1899) are described. Plants are collected from Korea all year round and have maximum height from August to September. The monthly variability of thallus growth is in the way with that of the seawater temperature. Two types of thallus structures, thick cortical layer tallus type and thin cortical cell layer type, are distinguished according to growing seasons. The habit of Korean plants is also classified into two thallus types, slender type and wide type, based on the length and the width of internodes, but this distinction between two types is not supported by either anatomical or molecular characteristics. P. coriaceum shares typical morphology in branching pattern and morphogenetic processes with the other species of Dictyota: 1) multi-cellular cortical and medullar layer in the partial of thallus, 2) same development of thallus from apical meristem cell, and 3) sub-lineage within Dictyota species lineage in rbcL, psaA and psbA gene sequences analyses. These characteristics lead to propose the new combination of Dictyota coriacea (Homes) I.K. Hwang, H.S. Kim et W.J. Lee, comb. nov.

육계의 성성숙에 따른 세정관발육에 관한 연구 (Development of the Seminiferous Tubules of Meat Type Cockerels in Relation to Sexual Maturity)

  • The work was conducted to clarify the development of testes and histological changes of the Seminiferous tubules that is the Surface area, diameter, length of the tubules and the process of Spermatic cells growth in Seminal epithelium in relation to Sexual maturity of the meat-type cockerels. In addition the present experiments were planned to gain some basic data helpful for the study of reproductive physiology in meat-type cockerels and also to compare the histological changes Seminiferous tubules between egg and general purpose type cockerels. 1. The growth pattern of body weight, testes and comb was classified into four phase according to age. Body weight increased up to about 2kg at 2nd stage and to 4.3kg at 4th stage while at 3rd stage the growth rate of body weight was slower. The tests developed slowly until 22 weeks of age with no correlation to the growth of body weight. However, it grew rapidly afterwards, reaching 27.79$\pm$9.26gm and 42.46$\pm$5.33 gm at 24 and 28 weeks of age, respectively. The spermatozoa was seen first at 24 weeks of age. On the other hand, comb grew at similar rate to the testes, weighing on the average 21.78$\pm$6.48gm and 41.42$\pm$1.25gm at 24 and 28 weeks of age, respectively. 2. The areal rate of the Seminiferous tubules to interstitial tissues was 66%:34% at 2 weeks of age and the rate of the former increased in comparison to that of the latter as they grew older, becoming 94%:7% between at 24 weeks of age, when the testes weight increased rapidly too. 3. Diameter of Seminiferous tubules at 2 weeks of age was 42.76$\pm$1.04$\mu$m and then it gradually increased as the testes grew until 22 weeks of age, when it grew rapidly, increasing about 2.9 times of those of 2 weeks and at last increased up to 5 times at 24 weeks. 4. Length of Seminiferous tubules was 4.5cm at 2 weeks and then it was gradually increased. At 22 weeks old the length of tubules was icnreased rapidly being 321 meter and increased more than double, being 658 meter at 24 weeks old. 5. The cells of Seminal epithelium developed poorly and the number of cells were relatively few until 16 weeks old. Afterwards the cells increased rapidly in number and at 18 weeks, the number became twice of those of 16 weeks, reaching 140.43$\pm$43.6. At 24 weeks the cells increased more rapidly, reaching to 10 layers and Spermatozoa were first time seen.

분산증폭기 기반 GHz 대역 아날로그 FIR 필터 설계 (Design of GHz Analog FIR Filter based on a Distributed Amplifier)

  • 본 논문에서는 분산증폭기 구조를 기반으로 한 아날로그 FIR 필터 구조를 제안하고 그 특성을 분석한다. 또한, 디지털 필터 설계 기술을 이용한 간단한 아날로그 FIR 필터 설계 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 아날로그 FIR 필터는 이동평균필터와 콤필터 형태로 그 회로 구조안에 곱셈기를 포함하지 않기 때문에 multi-GHz 의 높은 주파수 대역에서도 동작 가능하게 하며, RF 시스템에서 필터와 증폭기를 결합한 형태의 응용이 가능하도록 한 구조이다. 제안된 아날로그 FIR 필터는 표준 $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정 기술을 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고 그 결과를 MATLAB으로 모델링하여 얻은 디지털 필터의 결과와 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안된 아날로그 FIR 필터는 디지털 필터와 의 시뮬레이션 결과에 잘 부합하였다.

Electrochromic Device for the Reflective Type Display Using Reversible Electrodeposition System

  • The green displays are the human friendly displays, the nature friendly displays, and the economical displays. Electrochromic displays are low cost and environmental devices because they do have more choice of colours and use much less power. The elements of the electrochromic devices consist of at least two conductors, an electrochromic material and an electrolyte. The optical properties were obtained using the optical contrast between the transparency of the substrate and the coloured state of the electrochromic materials. These devices can be fully flexible and printable. Due to the characteristics of the high coloration efficiency and memory effects, the electrochromic devices have been used in various applications such as information displays, smart windows, light shutters and electronic papers. Among these technical fields switchable mirrors have been received much attention in the applicative point of view of various electronic devices production. We have developed a novel silver (Ag) deposition-based electrochromic device for the reversible electrodeposition (RED) system. The electrochromic device can switch between transparent states and mirror states in response to a change in the applied voltage. The dynamic range of transmittance percent (%) for the fabricated device is about 90% at 550 nm wavelength. Also, we successfully fabricated the large area RED display system using the parted electrochromic cells of the honey comb structure.
