  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the color changes of the composite resin resulting from xenon lamp exposure in different environments. Composite resin (Z 250 ; shade Al, A2, A3, A3.5, and A4) were applied in a cylindrical metal mold. Seventy five specimens according to environments of exposure were made as follows; Group I aluminum foiling of the specimens in the air at $37^{\circ}C$ for 1 day and 7 days. Group II : exposure of xenon lamp to the specimens in the air at $37^{\circ}C$ for 1 day and 7 days. Group III: exposure of xenon lamp to the specimens in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 1 day and 7 days. The color characteristics ($L^{*},a^{*},b^{*}$) of the specimens before and after exposure of xenon lamp were measured by spectrophotometer and the total color differences (${\Delta}E^{*}$) were computed. The results obtained were as follows : 1. In all groups except A1 shade of group III, the ${\Delta}E^{*}$ values presented below 2.0, and group III showed the highest ${\Delta}E^{*}$ values followed by group II and group I in a decreasing order(p<0.05). 2 In all shades and groups, the more the exposure time of xenon lamp and the lighter the shade were, the higher the tendency for discoloration (p<0.05). 3. The composite resins which was exposed to xenon lamp in the distilled water was more discolored than those in the air (p<0.05). 4. The major changes of composite resins which were exposed to xenon lamp in the air were an increase in yellowness through a positive shift of the $b^{*}$ value, and those in the distilled water were an increase in darkness and yellowness through a negative shift of the $L^{*}$ value and a positive shift of the $b^{*}$ value.

  • This paper deals with detection and classification of leaf diseases for phenomics systems. As the smart farm systems of plants are increased, It is important to determine quickly the abnormal growth of plants without supervisors. This paper considers the color distribution and shape information of leaf diseases, and designs two deep leaning networks in training the leaf diseases. In the first step, color distribution of input image is analyzed for possible diseases. In the second step, the image is first partitioned into small segments using mean shift clustering, and the color information of each segment is inspected by the proposed Color Network. When a segment is determined as disease, the shape parameters of the segment are extracted and inspected by proposed Shape Network to classify the leaf disease types in the third step. According to the experiments with two types of diseases (frogeye/rust and tipburn) for apple leaves and iceberg, the leaf diseases are detected with 92.3% recall for a segment and with 99.3% recall for an input image where there are usually more than two disease segments. The proposed method is useful for detecting leaf diseases quickly in the smart farm environment, and is extendible to various types of new plants and leaf diseases without additional learning.

  • To develop the use of natural pigment for food, anthocyanins were isolated from grape peels which were wasted much in korea, and their characteristics were as fellows. pH has a marked influences on the color of the grape peels anthocyanin solution(GPAS). At low pH the color of GPAS was more stable than high pH. With increasing pH the color gradually fades as colorless pseudobases are formed. It showed characteristic bathnochromic shift as the solution increased. Among the sugars tested, glucose showed the most protective effect on the color of GPAS to raise the color stability, while fructose showed an adverse effect. Orgarnic acid such as citric acid prevented the degradation of anthocyanin, but ascorbic acid lowered stability of color considerably. The effect of light on GPAS was found to be very deleterious. The pigment degradation can be minimized by shielding the light from the pigment solution.

  • As various materials and new methods can be used due to developments in science and expansion of thinking, modern architectural color composes extensive possibilities exceeding its physical role of the past. In particular, rather than the initial external expression, the secondary connotative interpretation is more important in interpreting architectural color. This is because color interpretation changes the meaning of space based on light. Also, the development of digital technology has shifted the use of architectural color from passive realization to a more proactive concept and value. In other words, such shift leads to a new discussion on architectural color such as non-representation, invisibility, and non-physicality as the concept of fixed time, space and movement has been weakened. This paper begins by conceptualizing the digital space, a term widely used to interpret the architectural color of digital space. And it will be categorized as non-representational architectural color, invisible architectural color, and non-physical architectural color, by combining the characteristics of digital space with the modern architecture's color examples. Digital space overcoming the space time is differently interpreted from the past color expression. Modern architecture's color which substitutes the passive view with active body takes a role delivering various axes of discussions with synaesthesia.

  • The color stability and purity from OLED is of current interest. Aggregation of dyes alters the device color after fabrication of the devices. Exciplex and electroplex formations have been proposed to explain the aggregate color change. We investigate the possibility of exciplex formation and propose the new electroplex state that can cause the bathochromic shift of the electroluminescence spectrum from the devices with TPD/PBD layers. The photoluminescence maximum of the device was 420nm, and the electroluminescence maximum of the device to became 480nm. The bathochromic shift cannot be attained with photoluminescence study with highly concentrated TPD/PBD mixture. This clearly indicates that the 480nm spectrum of the devices is not resulted from the exciplex formation with TPD and PBD. We observed the overshoot in EL spectrum from the OLEDs. The most intense overshoot was observed at 460nm, which may be due to the aggregates that are formed after the electric field has been removed from the devices.

  • The Conventional PVA (patterned vertical alignment) mode showed characteristics of 8-domain using T-T type or C-C type. But these methods have disadvantages such as decreasing aspect ratio and transmittance. In order to resolve these problems, in this paper we have studied a new 8-domain method which is partially using the UV curable reactive mesogen (RM) that is a role in surface stabilization. The characteristic of off-axis color shift is decreased because the part of surface stabilized area is compensated to other area in a pixel. Consequently, the device shows improved color shift by 8-domain.

  • This research aims to suggest methods to improve object tracking performance by combining CAM shift algorithm with 8-way search window, and reduce arithmetic operation by reducing the number of frame used for tracking. CAM shift has its adverse effect in tracking methods using signature color or having difficulty in tracking rapidly moving object. To resolve this, moving search window of CAM shift makes it possible to more accurately track high-speed moving object after finding object by conducting 8-way search by using information at a final successful timing point from a timing point missing tracking object. Moreover, hardware development led to increased unnecessary arithmetic operation by increasing the number of frame produced per second, which indicates efficiency can be enhanced by reducing the number of frame used in tracking to reduce unnecessary arithmetic operation.

  • Recognition and Tracking of interesting object is the significant field in Computer Vision. Mean-Shift algorithm have chronic problems that some errors are occurred when histogram of tracking area is similar to another area. in this paper, we propose to solve the problem. Each algorithm blocks skin color filtering, face detect and Mean-Shift started consecutive order assists better operation of the next algorithm. Avoid to operations of the overhead of tracking area similar to a histogram distribution areas overlap only consider the number of white pixels by running the Viola-Jones algorithm, simple arithmetic increases the convergence of the Mean-Shift. The experimental results, it comes to 78% or more of white pixels in the Mean-Shift search area, only if the recognition of the face area when it is configured to perform a Viola-Jones algorithm is tracking the object, was 100 percent successful.

  • This study focuses on the color characteristics of FFS (Fringe Field Switching). We use various methods to prove the high performance of color characteristics in the Fringe Field Switching mode. We have described a color performance of 15" XGA product by the viewing angle range using x, y parameters of CIE chromaticity diagram. And so we used the 2 dimensional analyzing to prove the color shift distribution by viewing angle.
