This is a study on the status of color scheme of domestic office furniture. In order to pursue the planned and effective usage of color on office furniture, we investigate and analyze the status of used color based on products from four domestic office furniture companies. Once we review the definition and characteristics of office furniture, we theoretically investigate the importance of correct color planning and psychological effect based on the psychological theory as research methods. In addition, objective condition of color analysis is presented by clearly stating the color measurement which is used in this study and the NCS as analysis standards, and status of the usage of color is investigated and analyzed based on representative products from four domestic office furniture companies. Results showed that only five products which are 26.3% out of 19 products from four companies achieved a good balance based on both color harmony theories. We hope that studies to recognize the importance of usage of correct color on the office furniture, to improve the office environment and to increase the efficiency of work will be conducted continuously.

The study was proposed to establish the effective color image planning and to suggest the color combination data for clothing through historic costume. To test the suggested method The Color Image Scale developed in Japan was adapted, For the practical study 21 fashion illustrations of Art Deco period (1910-1930) were selec-ted. Color images analysed from these illustrations were seleted with the key words extracted from political economical social background and art of Art Deco period. Three of the image categories clear modern and dynamic were sutable to express the images of this period. The image categories representing color image of Art Deco costume were dynamic modern classic, casual, clear, nature and gorgeous.

Usual1y, common color systems have been expressed with two dimensional method such as books. We think that the three dimensional presentation of color is very useful to know the characteristics of the color palette for interior design. And, it might be convenient far planning the colors of interior design. This paper deals with the method of 3D presentation. We used AutoCAD 2000 and 3dMax 4.0 in modeling the color system. By presenting which parts of the munsell color system used in the colors which have appeared in interior design three dimensionally, the guideline fur the interior designers can be suggested.

Currently, BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) design technology lacks analysis function at the planning stage, and there is a lack of understanding and reliability of BIPV design method and system for building designers. To design and consider various building integrated solar design alternatives, the color of building integrated solar is often monotonous or does not match the design direction of the building. In this study, architectural designers can select various color modules in the planning and design process of the building and analyze the characteristics of color module solar cells and compare and analyze the actual solar radiation and predicted solar radiation in Republic ofKorea Seoul to reduce the confusion of design methods. By building a BIM design integrated system that can prove the quality of the building and analyze the shading analysis and power generation performance architecturally, it can improve the reliability of color module solar cell applicability that can express aesthetics in buildings and the predicted solar power generation capacity of each region. In the initial design stage, based on the empirical data of the BIPV system, it is possible to analyze the power generation performance for each installation angle and installation direction by analyzing the surrounding environment and the installation area, and accurately determine the appropriateness of the design accordingly.

As this research is the one analyzing the color using status of the office furniture in overseas, it surveyed and analyzed the color use on the basis of total 22 products by selecting 7 office furniture companies in overseas so as to promote the upright use of the color in planning the office furniture. As for the research method, the theory of color system (NCS) and the theory of color harmony (Ostwald and Fiber Biren), which are used in this research on the basis of the theoretical consideration for the office furniture and the definition and importance of the color, have been specified and analyzed on the basis of these. In this result, only 8 products, which are 36.4% among 22 products of 7 companies, are harmonized as per the theory of color harmony of two colors. It is expected that the effective influence may be bestowed on improvement of the office environment and increase of the work efficiency as the more planned and effective use of the color is made for the office furniture on the basis of this research.

As the competition of city design from various municipals recently, color guidelines are continuously established. But the contents of color guidelines are differing from one municipal to the other, It has doubts on its effectiveness. Thus, the objective of this researchis to investigate municipals' color guidelines in order to apprehend the characteristics and differences among each other. In order to do this, the research will collect color guidelines of 5 different cities and 2 different districts. Then, by organizing tables for different characteristics of contents, the research will attempt to identify the difference between municipals. The conclusion of such research is as follows. First, basic contents of color guidelines are composed with planning, proposing and managing stages. Furthermore its objective, target subject, detailed guidelines and exemplary cases were common. Second, the contents of color guidelines of municipals were vastly differing from each other in respect to the size of the cities or the objectives of its application. Third, color guideline contents of the city of Seoul, Sejong city, and Chung-ra district are composed rather reliably while that of the city of Inchun, and Sung-buk district were lacking considerably in terms of up-to-date survey of environment, color proposal, and managing policy in comparison to other municipals. In conclusion, there is a strong necessity for standardization of establishment or form of the color guidelines. Furthermore, measures for proper adjustment in respect to the size of a municipal or its purpose should be arranged adequately.

This study aims to recommend the proper Color rendering index (CRI), the Correlated Color Temperature (CCT), and illuminance levels of Light-Emitting Diode (LED) lighting based on the analysis of the criteria of the current CRI, the CCT, and illuminance levels in merchandising spaces with LED lighting conditions. It would be a basic material to apply in line with user preference for LED merchandising lighting. To this end, it examines relevant literature review on the experiments designed to test whether lighting characteristics affect brightness perception, color appearance, and pleasantness. Highly saturated colors appear brighter than low saturated colors. Two lighting applications - grocery and clothing shop - were created in elaborating the effect of LED lighting characteristics of CRI on color appearance and the CCT and illuminance on pleasantness. The findings show that the criteria of CIE Ra<80 are appropriate to provide better color appearance of illuminated products in terms of LED lighting that can enhance color saturation, particularly for the red color. Furthermore, 2700 K and less than 500 lux for grocery, 4000 K and more than 500 lux for clothing shop are found to be the proper the CCT and illuminance levels respectively to bring better preference under LED lighting.

The inconsistent city planning damaged the city's landscape & identity, the old days. Nowadays the central and local governments are interested in the city's landscape design for residents, economic reason, etc. Color is most efficient one of design elements to improve a city landscape. So to establish the uniqueness and beauty of Gunsan city landscape, this study was performed to find out Gunsan landscape colors to survey the landscape color, by priority. There are nature environment of sea, river, reservoir, mountains and plain and artificial environment of buildings used japanese occupation period, them in early modern era and modern things. It found out the color palette has extracted from the present colors in the city landscape. There were mostly colors with low chroma, middle value and the next thing was them with high value. The blue among hue was strong. The Chroma was very low to be concentrated in $L^*$ axis. So achromatic color or blue/green of middle value and low chroma were recommended for dominant color and the similar color of former color was good for assort color in Gunsan city landscape.

Children's museum has roles of the characterized place for children as well as the museum for education. Therefore, specific color selection especially for children is one of the most important points to be considered. This study is the short investigation on various interior color systems of children's museums in Korea. In case of Children's Museum in National Museum of Korea, each exhibition area is apparently divided by adopting colors in accord with the subject of each space. Middle color in that museum generally gives stability, and clear color and accent color give better perception and vitality Children's folk Museum has adopted Korean traditional colors, O-Bang Colors, which have indicated Korean tradition for ages. All sections in Incheon Children's Museum are spatially divided, but similar colors of ceiling, wall, and floor give boring atmosphere. Since original colors of furniture in Science section distract attraction of children, proper color selection should be required for better reaction from children. Therefore, this research is aiming for detailed investigation in color system of children's museum and the proper interior color planning of the next children's museums with their main purpose for children in the future.

Biophilic design gives human beings positive and valuable experiences in nature. The experience in nature in the architectural environment is mainly symbolic and metaphorical, and is based on visual sensations such as color, form, and image. Recently, modern people living in a modern and simple style indoor space have a desire to pursue visual stimuli for interest or pleasure. This desire can be satisfied through color, lighting, and finishing plan. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose a biophilic design color palette based on the empirical characteristics and properties of biophilic design. The methods used in this study are as follows. First, the biophilic design factors and natural landscape preference criteria are examined. Second, based on the review results, natural landscape images are selected and color information for each biophilic design element is extracted according to the vertical and horizontal directions. Third, color information is converted to NCS color code and palette range and hue range are derived through the analysis of ratio and average values. Finally, based on the analysis results, biophilic design color palette is proposed for each element. The results of this study might be useful as basic data in establishing biophilic design strategies and applying them to architecture and interior construction.
