시광안료와 시온안료를 사용한 도공층의 특성 (The Characteristics of Coating Layer with the Thermochromic and the Photochromic Pigment)

  • This study was aimed to apply thermochromic and photochromic pigments to coating color and to develop a speciality functional coated layer. Two special pigments were added to a conventional coating color. The effects of the special pigments on coating color properties such as water rerention, low-shear viscosity were evaluated. Also the color changes of coated paper was observed under various circumstances. The results showed that the special pigments didn't influence the coating color properties. The coated paper with the special pigments showed four different colors, under various circumstances, implying that thermochromic and photochromic pigments can be used to produce a security paper.

누에 배설물에서 Ethanol 추출한 녹색색소의 일반적 성질 (Characteristics of Greenish Pigments from Silkwarm Excrement by Ethanol Extraction)

  • A study of characteristics of greenish pigments from silkwarm excrement by ethanol extraction. Through visible absorption scanning, it showed two absorption peaks at 415 and 657nm, and it was shown to be greenish color. In the presence of light, the stability of pigments rapidly degraded, but in the presence of Al-foil, green and blue cover were very stable. It was shown to be stabilized at the temperature of 7$0^{\circ}C$ until 20days and presence of metal ions, such as Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and Zn2+. The pigments was shown to be stabilized in 5% acetic acid solution, but in the presence of lactic acid, citric acid and tartaric acid solution were unstable. On the result of TLC analysis, pigments were shown to be composed of eight color fractions, and main color fractions were F-1, F-2 and F-3. In F-1, F-2 fractions were revealed green color and F-3 fraction were revealed yellow color.

체색용 안료가 한지의 열화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Color Pigments on the Hanji Deterioration)

  • This study was carried out to analyze deterioration characteristics of color-pigments painted Hanji to preserve and restore the cultural properties. On the traditional painting technique, glue was used with pigments in various ways for painting, but it eventually caused the deterioration of paintings. Thus, five colors were selected and analyzed for this study for investigating their characteristics of deteriration. Three kinds of glues (Wugyo, Nokgyo, and Togyo) and two kinds of pigments (Chinese and Gilsang) were painted on the Hanji for the accelerated aging test. And then color fastness of pigments and tensile strength of painted Hanji were measured for the estimation of deterioration degree. The results of SEM-EDS showed that Chinese pigments including blue, yellow, green, and red were composed of inorganic substances but the brown was organic substance. Gilsang pigments were composed mainly of Si and Ti ions. Color fastness of the Gilsang pigment blue, yellow, green, and brown were better than those of Chinese. Chinese pigment brown with organic substance showed the worst color fastness. Generally, Chinese pigments painted Hanji showed higher tensile strength than Gilsang in the accelerated aging test. Hanji treated with Chinese pigment and Nokgyo (antler glue) blends and Gilsang pigment and Togyo (rabbit pelt glue) blends showed higher tensile strength than the others. And Andong Hanji showed the highest tensile strength.

Jar Fermenter에 의한 홍국의 배양, 색소특성 및 안정성 (Characteristics and Stability of Pigments Produced by Monascus anka in a Jar Fermenter)

  • Monascus anka가 생산하는 색소는 균체외 적색색소(ERP)와 황색색소(EYP) 그리고 균체내 적색색소(IRP) 와 황색색소(IYP)로 분리되었고 각각의 색소는 특징적인 absorption spectrum을 나타냈다 분리된 4종의 색소의 안정성을 검토한 결과, 암조건, 자외선 그리고 형광하에서는 비교적 안정하였지만 일광하에서는 색소가 급격히 퇴색하는 경향을 나타내 저장시 광차단이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. pH에 대해서는 각 색소가 pH 2.0~12.0 범위에서 비교적 안정하였다. 온도의 영향은 60~8$0^{\circ}C$에서는 비교적 안정하였으나 그 이상의 온도에서는 안정성이 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 8종의 유기산 중에 tartaric acid와 citric acid가 홍국색소의 안정성을 저해하는 것으로 나타났고 propionic, formic, acetic, butyric, malonic, malic acid는 비교적 안정하였다. 홍국색소의 변색에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 금속 이온은 Cu$^{2+}$이었다.

Fe2O3−CoO−Cr2O3−MnO2계 안료의 합성 및 유약에서의 발색 (Synthesis of Fe2O3−CoO−Cr2O3−MnO2 Pigments and Coloring in Glazes)

  • Synthesis and characterization of pigments by using $Fe_2O_3,\;CoO,\;Cr_2O_3\;and\;MnO_2$ were undertaken. The resulting pigments were characterized by using XRD, SEM, FT-IR and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The color of glazed tiles containing 6 wt% pigment changed from dark green to black depending on the compositions of used materials. Pigments were calcined with mixed materials at $1350^{\circ}C$, and the dark green and dark brown color were obtained. Pigments were used to determine possible interactions between a pigment and a glaze.

The Influence of Firing Conditions on the Color Properties of Pr-ZrSiO4 Pigments Synthesized Using Rice Husk Ash

  • Using rice husk ash as silica, the influence of the firing temperature and holding time on the color intensity of Pr-$ZrSiO_4$ pigments were investigated. The Pr-yellow pigments were calcined at 500, 700, 800, 900, 950, 1000, $1100^{\circ}C$ in a ceramic method. The synthesized pigments were characterized by DT-TG thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and SEMEDAX analysis. The relationship between the zircon phase-formation growth and Pr-yellow color development was evaluated and the optimum firing conditions were determined. The color of the pigment samples was characterized on the grounds of the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) standard procedure (CIE $L^*a^*b^*$ measurement) after an application on the bisque ceramic tile.

화장품 제조에 쓰이는 Pigments 가 수분산 제형에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Pigments used in Cosmetic Manufacturing on the Form of Water Dispersible Formulations)

  • 수분산 제형은 사용 시 가루 날림이 없고, 끈적이지 않으며 가벼운 사용감을 주면서 밀착력이 높은 특징이 있어 색조 화장품에 많이 이용된다. 하지만 색조 화장품에 사용되는 수분산 제형에서 안료가 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 거의 검토되지 않았다. 이에 본 연구에서는 색조 화장품 제조에 주로 쓰이는 무기색소, 유기색소, 진주광택안료 등의 안료를 각각 분산시켜 만든 수분산 제형에서 안료가 제형에 미치는 영향에 대하여 외관의 변화, pH의 변화, 광안정성을 측정하고 분석하는 연구를 진행하였다. Carmine 또는 ferric ferrocyanide가 코팅된 이산화티탄 마이카 계 색소는 저점도 수분산 제형에서 수상에 색이 우러나오며, 광안정성이 좋지 않아 사용에 적합하지 않았다. 유기 색소는 수분산 제형에서 1%의 함량으로 광안정성은 양호했으나 수상에 색이 우러나오고, 파우더끼리 뭉쳐서 잘 분산되지 않으므로 사용에 적합하지 않았다. 진주광택안료, 무기 색소, 산화철이 코팅된 이산화티탄 마이카 계 색소는 수분산 제형에서 외관 및 광안정성이 우수하여 사용에 적합하였다. 또한 각각의 안료를 분산시킨 모든 시료의 pH는 모두 3.0 - 9.0 범위 안에 들어 화장품 법에 적합한 것으로 보인다. 이는 색조 화장품 중 수분산 제형에서 안료의 거동을 예상하고 안정한 색소를 선택 및 사용하여 안정한 수분산 제형의 색조 화장품을 제조하는데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

한국산 자초 적색소의 분리 및 확인 (Isolation and Identification of Red Color Pigments from the Korean Lithospermum erythrorhizon)

  • 한국산 자초 적색소의 추출조건과 적색소를 확인한 결과 자초에서 색소성분의 추출은 지용성 용제가 물에 비해서 추출력이 좋으며 특히 95% 에탄올이 적색소 추출에 효과적이었다. 적색소 성분의 추출은 침출 시간에 관계없이 비교적 고른 추출력을 보였으며 4$0^{\circ}C$이하에서 20분 정도 추출하면 적색소가 충분히 추출되었다. 한국산 자초뿌리의 적색소 성분을 분리하여, IR, NMR. GC/MS로 확인한 결과 대부분이 acetylshi-konin으로 동정되었다.

천연 황색안료 염색한지의 패션소재 적용 가능성 평가에 관한 연구 (Properties of Hanji with natural pigment dyeing for use as a fashion material)

  • This study analyzes and compares Hanji made with loess to Hanji made with kaolin, two yellow-based inorganic pigments, in terms of its physical properties, optical properties, and color fastness to light with the aim of using it as a fashion material. Hanji made by adding inorganic pigments showed an approximately 20% retention ratio on average. This figure was similar to those of loess and kaolin. Physical properties were analyzed, with the following results. A higher amount of additives lowered the apparent density and increased thickness and bulk. In general, inorganic pigment-added Hanji had lower tensile strength, bursting strength, and folding endurance compared to non-additive Hanji. The analysis of optical properties showed a lower brightness index for Hanji made with inorganic pigments compared to non-additive Hanji. When comparing the two inorganic pigments, the brightness of Hanji made with kaolin was higher. Regarding color fastness to light, loess showed level 4 and kaolin showed level 5 when 25% inorganic pigments on pulp were added to Hanji. Thus, Hanji made by adding inorganic pigments during the manufacturing process may perform well as materials for fashion because the additives enhanced both the color fastness to light and the bulk while maintaining the strength. In addition, Hanji dyed with inorganic pigments may have the potential to serve as materials for the fashion industry while still retaining the characteristics of Hanji.
