In stereo-view system, variations of target camera position or lighting conditions cause discrepancies on the luminance and chrominance components of stereo views. These discrepancies lead to inaccurate frame view prediction and low quality of 3 D video coding. In this paper, an efficient histogram interval calibration method is proposed for stereo-view coding, so as to compensate for the luminance component of target view. First the proposed method is analyzed by the histogram of the target image frame. Then, it divide two sections of histogram of that frame to correct the color discrepancies. Secondly, each section of the target frame is corrected the luminance component by identify the maximum matching region between the reference frame and the target frame. We have verified our proposed histogram matching method in comparison with the other color correction ones. Experimental results show that it can correct better luminance calibration results of PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) and has less computation time.

We propose a novel image segmentation and segment-based stereo matching technique using color, depth, and motion information. Proposed technique firstly splits reference images into foreground region or background region using depth information from depth camera. Then each region is segmented into small segments with color information. Moreover, extracted segments in current frame are tracked in the next frame in order to maintain depth consistency between frames. The initial depth from the depth camera is also used to set the depth search range for stereo matching. Proposed segment-based stereo matching technique was compared with conventional one without foreground and background separation and other conventional one without motion tracking of segments. Simulation results showed that the improvement of segment extraction and depth estimation consistencies by proposed technique compared to conventional ones especially at the static background region.

In this paper. we propose search algorithm using Low Peak Feature of audio and image color value by which similar movies can be identified. Combing through entire video files for the purpose of recognizing and retrieving matching movies requires much time and memory space. Moreover, these methods still share a critical problem of erroneously recognizing as being different matching videos that have been altered only in resolution or converted merely with a different codec. Thus we present here a similar-video-retrieval method that relies on analysis of audio patterns, whose peak features are not greatly affected by changes in the resolution or codec used and image color values. which are used for similarity comparison. The method showed a 97.7% search success rate, given a set of 2,000 video files whose audio-bit-rate had been altered or were purposefully written in a different codec.

The ability of a dentist to select and communicate an acceptable shade match to a dental laboratory may be the most important factor in esthetic restorative dentistry. However, shade matching is a very complex situation. In this study, an attempt was made to compare and evaluate the conventional visual assessment and colorimetric analysis in clinical shade matching. 20 patients were selected and their maxillary central incisors shade were measured by Vita classic shade guide, using $Shadepilot^{TM}$ and ShadeEye $NCC^{(R)}$. The results indicate that there is much variation in the shade selection by visual and instrumental methods.

In this paper, we proposed hand detection and hand gesture recognition from USB camera video. Firstly, we extract hand region extraction using skin color information from a difference images. Background image is initially stored and extracted from the input images in order to reduce problems from complex backgrounds. After that, 16-directional chain code sequence is computed from the tracking of hand motion. These chain code sequences are compared with pre-trained models using DP matching. Our hand gesture recognition system can be used to control PowerPoint slides or applied to multimedia education systems. We got 92% hand region extraction accuracy and 82.5% gesture recognition accuracy, respectively.

This study is aimed to suggest the method, color channel seperation, can match the common points in real-time automatically. Image coordinates which was calculated from the acquired image with CCDcamera in this study is checked with two methods; check the accuracy of image coordinate and common point matching through correct sort. In conclusion of check, The RMSE of object coordinate which is calculated by photogrammetry program with image coordinate is in the expect RMSE of close-range photogrammetry, and Match-ing of common point is also performed correctly by using sort. For these reason, this color channel separation method is adequate for the acquisition of accurate image coordinates and the matching of the common points. I think that this method will be useful for the fields of industry which need fast-correct processing with acquired information in real-time.

Power conversion efficiency of the red and green phosphors was measured and analyzed. Two different samples of phosphors of thickness 50 ${\mu}m$ were prepared: one was the phosphor layer coated on the transparent substrate and the other was prepared on the reflective substrate. The 445 nm blue laser diode beam was used as the exciting beam. The conversion efficiencies of the red and green phosphor layers were 41.4% and 46%, respectively. The quantum efficiencies of the red and green phosphors were 60.4% and 53.5%, respectively.
It is common sense that providing specific odor can increase the video reality when video scene has an object having specific odor. However, people still do not know how to increase video reality and emotional immersion when there is no information on specific odor in the scene. So, present study explores how we improve video reality and immersion when the scene has no concrete odor information from some objects. Especially, this research focuses on diverse previous studies about matching between odor and color and then we expect providing odor can increase video reality if the odor is well-matched with the video's color. To do this, we collected 48 odors and investigated which color was well-matched with each odor. As a result, we get 5 odors which had clearly well-matched colors and decide ill-matched colors of those 5 odors as complementary colors of well-matched colors (Experiment 1). After that, we organize 3 conditions such as coloring image and video clip with well-matched color (color-odor match condition), coloring those with ill-matched color (color-odor mismatch condition), and coloring those with achromatic color by removing color saturation (color-odor neutral condition). Under each of these three conditions, image-odor matching, increment of reality with the odor, increment of immersion with the odor, and odor preference are asked (Experiment 2; 3). The results showed that the scores of all 4 questions in color-odor match condition were higher than color-odor mismatch condition and neutral condition. These results mean that providing matching odor with the scene's color in video is very effective to increase video reality and immersion. We expect experiencing better reality and immersion with olfactory information by adding various future research.

One of the IIDSt difficult problems in a tri-band fluorescent lamp manufacture is to search a desired color by an adequate mixing of tri-color phosphors. When a light spectrum of a phosphor is slightly changw or distorted due to process variable or when another spectrum such as from Ar, Kr or a iDosphor of calcium halo-phosphate as a first layer exist, it is even rrnre difficult to search a desired color. In this work, a rapid awuaching rrethod to a desired light color was studied. 1bree single-color fluorescent lamps and three-color-mixed fluorescent lamps with different mixing ratios were prepared and the spectra of these lamps were measured, from which the rrercury and the argon spectra were eliminatffl to obtain the rrndifiw color coordinates. From this rrndifiw color coordinate, h.lIlHl ratios of green and blue to red were correlatffl with their weight ratios. This correlation was awliw to the industrial line for single and double layer coating and proven to be valuable as a desired color matching procWure in tri-color fluorescent lamp manufacture.acture.
