The solar energy collection of a passive solar system depends on the finish of collecting surfaces. In this study, the test models of T.W system with different wall surface finishes were constructed, and the temperature distribution through the models was monitored. At the same time, a computer program based on F.D.M was developed in order to simulate various surface finishes. The difference of indoor temperature between the model with white color finish ($\alpha$=0.25) and the one with black color finish ($\alpha$=0.95) was about 1$0^{\circ}C$. For the wall with selective coating, the indoor temperature was 4-5$^{\circ}C$ higher than that of red brick wall, and 3-4$^{\circ}C$ higher than that of wall with black paint.
People store information not only in their Drain but also material things. Norman called it knowledge in the world. The general way to store the information is to paste labels. 4 burner gas range force user to make conceptual model between burner and switch to see labels. but those are cognitive stress. Norman suggested spatial analogies for natural mapping between display and control. However the way of his methods in spatial analogies was not compatible with kitchen atmosphere. To solve those problems 1 suggested color coding . This study hypothesized that the mapping between burner and switch is realized by color coding. To testy the hypothesis 1 compared A group using general gas range with B group using color coded gas range. The result showed difference between A and B in accuracy ( F (1, 38) = 17.892, p < 0.01) and response time ( F (1, 38) = 6.726 p < 0.05). The result of this test is to certify that color coding affect peoples by presenting the difference accuracy and response time. As result this study presents that color coding can be compatible the product having importance to certify in the design process.

The purpose of this research is to provide the basic data for the development of make-up color application system, based of Korean's skin tone and the preference in make-up color to enhance the effectiveness of the education of beauty in universities. The research was conducted by the previous studies, the analyses of sale's rate of hue-cosmetics, the analytic experiment of color of cosmetics by using Spectrum Color Analyzer and other experimental researches. This research, based on the results of three preliminary researches, shows the result of evaluation from perceivers which has been come out from the experiment of having one model in her twenties being changed with twenty-two different conditions of make-up. Here follows the result of the research. Firstly, there was difference on perceiving images in terms of the gender of perceivers and especially male-group tend to have clearly perceived the gap between elegance-greyish purple, orange-natural, red-classic on monochrome make-up and contrast make-up. Secondly, in terms of lip-colors, salmon pink and pink was regarded positively to both female and male subjects and to male subjects, greyish purple was thought to be better on darker skin-tone and to female subjects, better on lighter skin-tone. Thirdly, on image make-up, romantic gives intelligent image regardless of skin-tone and gender, especially gives more positive looks to male subjects. Natural and classic elements were perceived more positively on darker skin-tone and had bigger perceiving gap in female subjects. Fourthly, in preference rate, male subjects normally preferred the look with make-up than female subjects did and salmon pink and pink lip color was preferred on the darker skin-tone.

The face extraction is very important to provide the images of the roads and road sides without the problem of privacy. For face extraction form roadside images, we detected the skin color area by using HSI and YCrCb color models. Efficient skin color detection was achieved by using these two models. We used a connectivity and intensity difference for grouping, skin color regions further we applied shape conditions (rate, area, number and oval condition) and determined face candidate regions. We applied thresholds to region, and determined the region as the face if black part was over 5% of the whole regions. As the result of the experiment 28 faces has been extracted among 38 faces had problem of privacy. The reasons which the face was not extracted were the effect of shadow of the face, and the background objects. Also objects with the color similar to the face were falsely extracted. For improvement, we need to adjust the threshold.

In current printer industry, four or more colorants are added for color gamut extension because the gamut of printer is smaller than other devices. However, these additional colorants make a redundancy problem that several combinations of colorants reproduced same color stimulus in colorimetric inverse characterization process. Thus, we propose a method of colorimetric inverse characterization using color correlation between colorant's amount. First, for analyzing the combination of colorants which represent the same color stimulus, we estimate the color stimulus for all combination of colorants by Cellular Yule-Nielsen Spectral Neugebauer printer model. The combination of colorants which has higher color correlation factor comparing combinations of colorant around itself in color space is selected. It can reduced the color difference from the tetrahedral interpolation process which is estimation of the output value(colorants combination) for arbitrary input(color stimulus). The selected combinations of colorants and their color stimulus are stored to the lookup table. In experiment, the CMYKGO printer was used. As a result, the dark region of color gamut was extended and the color tone was more naturally represented.

This study aimed to develop an optimal processing method for the production of apple-mango jelly for domestic suppliers, by analyzing the quality attributes of the jelly. According to the central composite design, a total of 11 experimental points were designed including the content of apple-mango juice (X1), and the sugar content (X2). The responses were analyzed including the color values (CIE Lab and color difference), physicochemical properties (water activity, sweetness, pH, and total acidity), and textural properties (hardness and gel strength). Regression analysis was conducted, except for total acidity, and showed no significant difference for all the experimental points (p<0.05). Quadratic model was derived for all responses with an R square value ranging from 0.8590 to 0.9978. Based on regression model, the appropriate mixing ratio of apple-mango jelly was found to be 31.11% of apple mango juice and 14.65% of sugar. Through this study, the possibility for developing jelly product using apple-mango was confirmed, and it is expected that these findings will contribute to the improvement of the agricultural industry.

The objective of the imaging pipeline is to transform the original scene into a display image that appear similar, Generally, gamma adjustment or histogram-based method is modified to improve the contrast and detail. However, this is insufficient as the intensity and the chromaticity of illumination vary with geometric position. Thus, MSR (Multi-Scale Retinex) has been proposed. the MSR is based on a channel-independent logarithm, and it is dependent on the scale of the Gaussian filter, which varies according to input image. Therefore, after correcting the color, image quality degradations, such as halo, graying-out, and dominated color, may occur. Accordingly, this paper presents a novel color correction method using a modified image formation model in which the image is divided into three components such as global illumination, local illumination, and reflectance. The global illumination is obtained through Gaussian filtering of the original image, and the local illumination is estimated by using JND-based adaptive filter. Thereafter, the reflectance is estimated by dividing the original image by the estimated global and the local illumination to remove the influence of the illumination effects. The output image is obtained based on sRGB color representation. The experiment results show that the proposed method yields better performance of color correction over the conventional methods.
PURPOSE. The purpose of the present study was to compare scanning trueness and precision between an abutment impression and a stone model according to dental computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) evaluation standards. MATERIALS AND METHODS. To evaluate trueness, the abutment impression and stone model were scanned to obtain the first 3-dimensional (3-D) stereolithography (STL) file. Next, the abutment impression or stone model was removed from the scanner and re-fixed on the table; scanning was then repeated so that 11 files were obtained for each scan type. To evaluate precision, the abutment impression or stone model was scanned to obtain the first 3-D STL file. Without moving it, scanning was performed 10 more times, so that 11 files were obtained for each scan type. By superimposing the first scanned STL file onto the other STL files one by one, 10 color-difference maps and reports were obtained; i.e., 10 experimental scans per type. The independent t-test was used to compare root mean square (RMS) data between the groups (${\alpha}=.05$). RESULTS. The $RMS{\pm}SD$ values of scanning trueness of the abutment impression and stone model were $22.4{\pm}4.4$ and $17.4{\pm}3.5{\mu}m$, respectively (P<.012). The $RMS{\pm}SD$ values of scanning precision of the abutment impression and stone model were $16.4{\pm}2.9$ and $14.6{\pm}1.6{\mu}m$, respectively (P=.108). CONCLUSION. There was a significant difference in scanning trueness between the abutment impression and stone model, as evaluated according to dental CAD/CAM standards. However, all scans showed high trueness and precision.
Satellite cameras are calibrated before launch in detail and in general, but it cannot be guaranteed that the geometry is not changing during launch and caused by thermal influence of the sun in the orbit. Modem satellite imaging systems are based on CCD-line sensors. Because of the required high sampling rate the length of used CCD-lines is limited. For reaching a sufficient swath width, some CCD-lines are combined to a longer virtual CCD-line. The images generated by the individual CCD-lines do overlap slightly and so they can be shifted in x- and y-direction in relation to a chosen reference image just based on tie points. For the alignment and difference in scale, control points are required. The resulting virtual image has only negligible errors in areas with very large difference in height caused by the difference in the location of the projection centers. Color images can be related to the joint panchromatic scenes just based on tie points. Pan-sharpened images may show only small color shifts in very mountainous areas and for moving objects. The direct sensor orientation has to be calibrated based on control points. Discrepancies in horizontal shift can only be separated from attitude discrepancies with a good three-dimensional control point distribution. For such a calibration a program based on geometric reconstruction of the sensor orientation is required. The approximations by 3D-affine transformation or direct linear transformation (DL n cannot be used. These methods do have also disadvantages for standard sensor orientation. The image orientation by geometric reconstruction can be improved by self calibration with additional parameters for the analysis and compensation of remaining systematic effects for example caused by a not linear CCD-line. The determined sensor geometry can be used for the generation? of rational polynomial coefficients, describing the sensor geometry by relations of polynomials of the ground coordinates X, Y and Z.
In order to identify the factors responsible for the recent drastic increase of imported apparel in Korea, an attempt was made to determine the variables influencing the purchasing behavior of imported and domestic apparel and forecast the purchasing intention with the use of Fishbein & Ajzen's behavioral intention model including both attitude and subjective norm. Based on literature review, the empirical study was conducted using the questionnaire for 900 college women and high school girls living in Seoul. Descriptive statistics, t-test, paired-t test, multiple regression analysis, and correlation analysis were made of 771 returned questionnaires using SAS program. The results were as follows : First, the results of assessing both their attitudes toward imported and domestic apparel and their subjective norms were shown to be different. Second, there was a difference in the attributes that had an effect on their attention to buy imported and domestic apparel. Third, those respondents having a preference for imported apparel were most highly influenced by color and price. While those respondents showing a preference for domestic apparel were most highly influenced by materials and comfortableness. Fourth, the validity of the prediction value of their buying intention was confirmed as it was shown to be more than coreelation coefficien r=0.65. In conclusion, 1) it was proved that both attitude and subjective norm were the important variables that could predict the consumer's purchasing intention, 2) since competitiveness in color and materials and brand influencing the consumer's purchase of and preference for domestic apparel relatively lagged behind in comparison with that of imported apparel, the domestic apparel business enterprise will have to make a greater effort to develop differentiated color, material and prestigious brand so as to enhance competitiveness with imported apparel.
