대학생의 건강증진 실천의지가 자기효능감, 행복, 생활만족, 여가만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the College Students' will for the Improvement of Health Playing on Self-Efficacy, Happiness, Life Satisfaction and Leisure Satisfaction)

  • This study is designed to look into the relations between college students' will for the improvement of their health and self-efficacy, happiness, life satisfaction and leisure satisfaction. To achieve this, a survey was carried out from November 2011 to December 2011, targeting 876 college students in 10 different regions in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do area. From the questionnaires, undependable and inappropriate questionnaires were excluded and 812 questionnaires were used for analysis data in descriptive statistics, variance analysis and simple regression analysis. The results are as follows. The groups with the strong show higher self-efficacy, have more happiness and express better life satisfaction. It has been empirically proved that those college students with a strong will to improve their health love themselves more and value themselves higher, which has positive influences on their happiness, life satisfaction and leisure satisfaction.

An Exploration of Factors Influencing College Students' Academic and Social Adjustment

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of school life and to examine the influencing factors of academic adjustment and social adjustment in university students. This cross-sectional descriptive study by using secondary data from 2,064 subjects who responded to a self-rated student adjustment test. Descriptive, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and multiple regression analyses were conducted. Satisfaction with college selection, expectation for college, satisfaction with college service, emotional stability, and relationships with faculty were significantly higher among male students, whereas confidence in major, support from others were significantly higher among the female students. There was a significant positive relationship between academic adjustment and confidence in major, and between social adjustment and expectation for college. Confidence in major, relationships with faculty, emotional stability, expectation for college, satisfaction with college selection, and commitment to college life accounted for 31.8% of the variance in academic adjustment. In addition expectation for college, emotional stability, support from others, gender, commitment to college life, and satisfaction with college services accounted for 44.7% of the variance in social adjustment for university students. Overall, the results of this study suggest that understanding the levels of expectation for college, commitment to college life, and levels of emotional stability may be important for facilitating their transition and adjustment to university life.

대학생의 신체적, 심리적 증상과 대학생활만족도와의 관계에서 자아존중감과 사회적 지지의 매개효과 (Mediating Effects of Self-esteem and Social Support on the Relationship between Physical, Psychological Symptoms and Campus Life Satisfaction of Students)

  • 이 연구는 대학생들의 일반적 특성, 건강수준에 따른 신체적 증상, 심리적 증상, 자아존중감, 사회적 지지 및 대학생활만족도 차이를 파악하고 신체적 증상, 우울, 불안의 심리적 증상과 대학생활만족도와의 관계에서 자아존중감과 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 규명하고자 하는 연구이다. 경로분석 결과, 연령은 사회적 지지를 매개로 하여 대학생활만족도에 긍정적 영향을 미치며, 신체적 증상, 우울, 불안은 자아존중감과 사회적 지지를 매개로 하여 대학생활만족도에 영향을 미치는데, 신체적 증상은 긍정적인 영향을, 우울과 불안은 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 신체적 증상, 심리적 증상과 대학생활만족도와의 관계에서 자아존중감과 사회적 지지의 매개효과와 크기 및 경로를 확인하였다.

전문대학 신입생의 의사결정역량, 대학생활적응, 대학생활만족도 정도 및 상관성 연구 (Levels and their Correlations of Decision-Making-Competency, Adjustment to College Life, Satisfaction to College Life in Freshmen)

  • 본 연구는 전문대학 신입생의 의사결정역량, 대학생활적응, 대학생활만족도의 정도를 확인하고 이들 간의 관계를 규명하여 성공적인 대학생활을 위한 전략 모색 및 방안 마련의 기초자료를 제시하고자 수행되었다. 일개 전문대학에 재학 중인 1학년 남녀 신입생 325명을 편의추출하여 연구 대상으로 하였으며, 2009년 9월에서 10월까지 2개월간 구조화된 설문지를 통해 자료를 수집하여 SPSS 17.0으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 전문대 신입생이 지각한 의사결정역량의 정도는 $61.77{\pm}7.70$점, 대학생활적응은 $60.97{\pm}8.94$점, 대학생활만족도는 $57.97{\pm}10.80$점이었다. 여가활동유무는 대학생활적응(t=9.174, p<.001), 대학생활만족도(t=8.126, p<.001) 에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였고, 지각된 학업성취는 각 그룹 간 대학생활적응(F=18.673, p<.001), 대학생활만족도(F=26.000, p<.001)에서 모두 통계학적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 전문대 신입생의 의사결정역량과 대학생활적응(r=.159, p<.001), 의사결정역량과 대학생활만족도(r=.121, p<.05), 대학생활적응과 대학생활만족도(r=.543, p<.001)간의 관계는 통계적으로 유의한 양의 상관관계를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 대학 신입생을 위한 대학생활적응 프로그램 개발 및 재학생 중도 탈락을 예방하는 프로그램 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

간호대학생의 자기효능감, 전공만족도, 대학생활 적응과의 관계 (Relationships among the Self-Efficacy, Major Satisfaction and Adjustment to College Life of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify the self-efficacy, major satisfaction, and degree of adjustment to college life of nursing students and the relationships among the foregoing. Methods : This study was conducted with 319 nursing students in B city from May to June 2019. The collected data were analyzed with frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient using the SPSS /WIN 22.0 program. Results : The self-efficacy score of nursing college students was shown to be 2.95±0.32 points, major satisfaction score was shown to be 3.83±0.55 points, and college adjustment score was shown to be 3.52±0.55 points. The degrees of adjustment to college life were significantly different according to general characteristics of nursing students as follows; grade (F=6.614, p=.000), health condition (F=13.384, p=.000), club activities (t=4.557, p=.000), happiness index (F=32.094, p=.000), part-time job (t=2.781, p=.006), and motive of major selection (F=7.300, p=.000). The adjustment to college life of nursing students showed a weak negative correlation with self-efficacy (r=-.196, p<.001) and a strong positive correlation with major satisfaction (r=.782, p<.001). Major satisfaction and self-efficacy showed a weak negative correlation (r=-.185, p<.001). Conclusion : Through the results of this study, it can be seen that repetitive studies are necessary in relation to the self-efficacy, major satisfaction, and college adjustment of nursing students, and that interest in effort for the development of programs that can improve nursing students' major satisfaction and college adjustment are necessary.

중년 남성의 갱년기 증상과 삶의 만족도에 관한 연구 (A Study of Andropause Symptoms and Life Satisfaction among Middle-aged Men)

  • Purpose: This study aims to understand andropause symptoms and life satisfaction among middle-aged Korean men. Method: The subjects were selected among men in their middle age who visited one of two university hospitals or a convalescent center in Seoul. Korea. Eight items were used to measure their andropause symptoms. Life Satisfaction Index-Z was used to measure life satisfaction. Results: Major symptoms related andropause. in the order of frequency, include memory loss, muscle weakness. powerlessness and impotence. Among the subjects. 62.5% smoked and 70% drank alcohol. and life satisfaction was generally moderate in the participants. Current smokers and alcohol drinkers reported a low level of life satisfaction. Diabetic patients and subjects who had powerlessness and hot flashes of andropause symptoms experienced a low level of life satisfaction. Muscle weakness was more frequent in current smokers, and powerlessness more in alcohol drinkers. Conclusion: This study's findings indicate that and ropause is one of major health concerns among middle-aged men. It reminds us of the smoking and alcohol drinking issues among middle-aged men. These findings show the necessity to improve strategies for nursing intervention in andropause symptoms and health risk behaviors.

노인의 무력감, 사회적 지지와 생활만족도와의 관계 (The Relationship among Powerlessness, Social Support and Life Satisfaction in the Elderly People)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between the feeling of powerlessness, social support and life satisfaction in the elderly. Methods: The subjects were 158 old people aged over 65 who were attending one of one college and three settlement houses for senior citizens located in B city. Results: The relationship between the feeling of powerlessness and life satisfaction was in a moderate negative correlation with each other (r=-.433, p=.000). The relationship between social support and life satisfaction was in a moderate positive correlation with each other (r=.410, p=.000). It was found that the higher social support was, the higher life satisfaction was. There was remarkable difference in the form of family (F=2.69, p=.023), the form of residence (F=5.29, p=.002), whether to belong to a group (F=2.26, p=.025). Conclusion: For the reasons stated above, as the feeling of powerlessness is lower and social support is higher, life satisfaction is higher. The results clearly show that in order to improve life satisfaction of the elderly, we need to ease their feeling of powerlessness and enhance social support to them. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a nursing intervention program to reduce powerlessness and to improve social support for the elderly.

일자리 참여 프로그램이 노인의 자아존중감과 생활만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Job Participation on Self-Esteem and Life Satisfaction of the Elderly)

  • Purpose: The effects of job participation on self-esteem and life satisfaction were investigated. Methods: Seventy residents of D welfare center located in G city who were >60 yr-of-age were selected for the study. The SERS research tool (Nugent and Thomas, 1993; modified by Koh, 2002) was used to assess self-esteem before and after a job participation program. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$value-based reliability of this tool was 0.923 and 0.920 before and after the job participation program, respectively. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$value-based life satisfaction as measured according to Choi (1986) was 0.932 and 0.933 before and after the job participation program, respectively. Results: The hypothesis that job participation program increases self esteem was supported by the results. The mean self esteem of subjects before and after the job program, 3.31 and 3.48, respectively, represented a significant increase. The hypothesis that the job participation program increases life satisfaction was supported by the results. The mean life satisfaction index of subjects before and after the program, 3.04 and 3.24, respectively, represents a significant increase. Conclusions: Increased job opportunities and income guarantee for adults, particularly the elderly, can increase self-esteem, life satisfaction, and emotional stability.

간호대학생의 자기효능감, 진로태도성숙도, 대학생활만족도간의 관계 (Correlation among Self-Efficacy, Career Attitude Maturity, and Campus Life Satisfaction in Nursing College Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among self-efficacy, career attitude maturity, and campus life satisfaction in nursing college students. Method: A total of 277 students agreed to participate in this study from 1 May 2016 to 31 May 2016. Data analysis included t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, and multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The results of the analysis revealed a positive correlation between campus life satisfaction and career attitude maturity (r=.316, p=.001); between campus life satisfaction and self-efficacy (r=.256, p=.001); and between self-efficacy and career attitude maturity (r=.469, p=.001). Career attitude maturity had the highest R-squared value of 10% (${\beta}=.22$) for campus life satisfaction, while peer relationships had an R-squared value of 2% (${\beta}=-.18$), residence type of 2% (${\beta}=.14$), and self-efficacy of 1% (${\beta}=.14$), for a total R-squared value of 15%. Discussion: Given these results, individual counseling is recommended to improve campus life satisfaction by helping college students to acquire the skills to foster good interpersonal relationships, self-efficacy, and a positive view of their future vocation. Furthermore, it is essential for an educational environment to support students to ensure that after graduation they become fully-fledged members of society with a sense of pride in their profession.

남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념, 전공만족도 및 대학생활적응과의 관계 (Relationship between Gender stereotype, Major satisfaction and Adaptation to University Life in male Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념, 전공만족도 및 대학생활적응의 관계를 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 본 연구는 2개의 광역시에 소재한 간호대학 간호학과에 재학 중인 남자 간호대학생 156명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 자료수집은 2020년 4월 17일부터 2020년 6월 22일까지 해당 대학교에서 운영하는 온라인 교육프로그램을 이용하여 온라인 설문조사로 이루어졌다. 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여, 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, 상관분석, ANOVA로 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 남자 간호대학생의 성 고정관념은 2.66±0.56점, 전공만족도는 3.78±0.64점, 대학생활적응은 3.15±0.49점으로 나타났으며, 성 고정관념은 전공만족도와 대학생활적응에 음의 상관관계를, 전공만족도와 대학생활적응은 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 이상의 결과로 남자 간호대학생의 전공에 대한 만족도와 대학생활을 만족스럽게 보낼 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 성 고정관념을 낮추고 전공만족도와 대학생활적응을 높일 수 있도록 특성화된 교과과정의 개선을 통해서 간호 전문직인으로서의 가치관과 자부심을 양성하는 것이 필요하다.
