단감 품종 판별을 위한 single nucleotide polymorphism 마커 적용 검정 (The Application of Single Nucleotide Polymorphism Markers for Discrimination of Sweet Persimmon Cultivars)

  • 최근 next-generation sequencing technology의 발달로 유전체 분석 사례는 증가하고 있으나, 단감에 있어 적용 가능한 Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) 마커 및 적용 결과는 거의 없는 실정이다. 이에 우리나라 고유 떫은감 5품종으로부터 개발된 SNP primer 들을 단감 품종에 적용하여 사용 가능성을 검증하고자 수행하였다. Jung 등에 의해 개발된 19개 SNP primer들의 PCR 조건을 확인 한 후 본 실험의 전기영동 방식으로는 분석이 매우 어려웠던 8개의 primer를 제외한 11개의 SNP primer들을 최종 선발하였다. 1, 2차 검증을 통해 최종 선발된 11개의 SNP primer 들을 76품종 및 계통(불완전단감 20, 완전단감 30, 완전떫은감 20, 불완전떫은감 6)에 적용한 결과 38품종 및 계통(불완전단감 8, 완전단감 18, 완전떫은감 9, 불완전떫은감 3품종)은 각 품종 및 계통 간 구분을 할 수가 없었다. 그러나 최종 선발된 11개의 SNP primer 들을 신품종에 적용한 결과만를 보면 '감누리', '단누리', '홍추'와 '자미시', '미감조생'을 동시에 구분할 수 있어 단감 신품종 판별을 위한 특이적 마커로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

양식 가리비의 성장 (The Growth of the Cultured Scallop, Patinopecten yessoensis)

  • 영일만에서 1980년 4월과, 1981년 4월 및 5월에 채묘하여 1981년 7월까지 양성한 결과와 1979년 11월에 자연산을 수집하여 1981율 7월까지 양성한 것을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 양식 가리비는 채묘후 약 1년 3개월 후에 각장이 약 6cm, 2년 후에 9.3cm, 2년 7개월 후에 10cm, 약 3년 2개월 후에 11.2cm, 약 3년 7개월 후에 11.3cm로 성장하였다. 2. 4월에 채묘한 것이 5월에 채묘한 것에 비해 각장의 크기가 7월 중순까지 약 2배 정도 더 컸다. 3. 9월 초에 중간 육성망에 옮겨 양성한 치패가 채묘망에서 관리를 하지 않고 양성한 것에 비해 성장이 훨씬 양호하였다. 4. 치패부터 수하식으로 양성하는 것이 바닥에서 양성한 것이나, 자연산을 수집하여 수하양성한 가리비에 비에 약 1년 이상 성장이 빨랐다. 5. 가리비 성패의 패각근 중양은 각장이 커짐에 따라 증가하는 경향이었는데 15g(각장 $60\sim70mm$)에서 94.13g(각장 $130\sim140mm$)의 값을 보였다.

대구.경북지역 중학생의 녹색식생활에 대한 지식, 행동 및 교육내용 요구도 분석 (Analysis on knowledge, behaviors, and educational content need regarding green dietary life among middle school students in Daegu and Gyeongbuk region)

  • 본 연구는 녹색식생활 교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과적인 시행에 필요한 기초 자료를 얻기 위하여 대구 경북 지역에 있는 중학생 246명을 대상으로 설문조사하여 녹색식생활에 대한 지식, 행동 수준 및 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 살펴보고 녹색식생활에 대한 교육내용 요구도를 분석하였다. 본 연구자료는 SPSS Windows V.21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석되었다. 조사대상자의 녹색식생활에 대한 지식 정답률과 녹색식생활에 대한 행동 수준은 높지 않았으며, 각 영역별 수준을 살펴보면 녹색식생활에 대한 지식에서는 건강, 환경 순이었고, 녹색식생활에 대한 행동은 건강, 환경, 배려 순으로 나타났다. 중회귀분석 결과 녹색식생활에 대한 지식에 영향을 미치는 유의한 변수는 학년이었고, 녹색식생활에 대한 행동에 영향을 미치는 변수는 월평균 용돈(6만~9만원 미만), 가정형편(중), 녹색식생활에 대한 지식이었다. 녹색식생활에 대한 교육내용 요구도에서는 정상체중을 유지하는 방법에 대한 점수가 가장 높았고 그 다음으로는 쓰레기 분리수거 방법, 환경오염을 막기 위한 방법, 건강에 유익한 식품과 식단, 우리나라의 전통 음식 순이었다. 녹색식생활에 대한 지식이 녹색식생활에 대한 행동에 정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나서 중학생들의 녹색식생활 행동 수준을 높이기 위해서는 녹색식생활에 대한 지식을 높이도록 교육이 실시될 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 녹색식생활에 대한 교육내용 요구도가 모든 항목에서 대체로 높게 나타났으므로 학교에서는 학생들의 교육적 요구에 부응하는 교육내용을 개발해야 할 것으로 보인다.

서울시내일부 고등학교 학생들의 흡연실태에 관한 조사연구 (A Survey on Cigarette Smoking Behavior of High School Students in Seoul)

  • It is well known that smoking habit is hazardous to health, especially for juvenile. The present study on smoking behavior of high school students in Seoul has two major objectives. The first objective is to find out the smoking behavior of high school students in Seoul. Toward this objective, individual's smoking experience has been examined as ever smoking and never smoking. The second objective is to determine the variables associated with their smoking behavior at the individual, family and school environment levels. For the data collection, the survey was carried out for the four high schools in Seoul from September 15 through October 15, 1982. The major findings are summarized as follows: 1. Smoking behavior of the students 1) Out of 1,278 respondents, 30.2% of them were found to be current smokers and 29.3% of them were former smokers. This implies that around 60% of school students in Seoul have experienced smoking. 2) A significant differences in the current smoking rates between two types of the school students were shown as 19.3% for day-time school and 42% for night-time school. 3) In terms of the current smoking behavior, the students who don't live with parents were higher in smoking rate than those of the living with parents. 2. Attitudes and knowledge about smoking 1) Attitudes of students toward smoking in high school days were shown that around 17% of them agreed with it and around 64% of them disagreed with it. 2) Around 99% of the respondents answered that their smoking is harmful for health. A source of the information about negative effects of smoking on health was 'Radio and TV' (23.9%) as the most influential, 'school teacher' (20.9%), 'Newspaper' (18.2%) and so on. 3. Behavioral analysis for the current smokers 1) The factors affected for motivation in the first smoking were 'curiosity' (59.7%), 'temptation of friend' (19.7%), 'resistance feeling, (7.1%), 'merely interest and pleasure' (6%) respectively. 2) The time of the first smoking was 'third grade of Junior-high school' (31.5%) as highest, 'first grade of Senior-high school' (23.7%) and 'second grade of Junior-high school' (14.7%). 3) An average daily number of cigarettes consuming of current smokers was seven cigarettes. 4. Family and school-mates influences on individual's smoking behavior 1) The data revealed a significant relationship between student's smoking and their parent's smoking behavior. Around 75% of the students whom both parents are smoking have experienced cigarette smoking. It was found that the individual's smoking behavior was influenced by his sibling. Around 65% of the students whom brothers are smoking have experienced cigarette smoking. 2) The 'Smoking-Index' of friendship network or a group explained individual's smoking behavior in the group. The result of dyad analysis of smoking behavior in the friendship network showed that a high score of 'Smoking-Index' tended to be explained an adoption of smoking behavior at the individual level in the group. on the other hand, a low score of 'Smoking-Index' explained non-smoking behavior in the group.

구한말 민간 빈민구제시설 진민소[賑民所]에 관한 연구 (Study on Jinminso as an Indoor Relief Institution)

  • 본 연구는 구한말 민간 빈민구제시설로 보이는 진민소에 관한 연구이다. 연구의 목적은 진민소 관련 사료의 발굴과 발굴된 사료의 객관적인 분석 및 해석이다. 연구를 위해 진민소로 인터넷 검색이 가능한 사료들을 검색했으며, 관찬사료 11개와 민간사료 40개를 찾았다. 분석결과 진민소는 민간에서 민간의 자본으로 조선사람들이 스스로 설립한 민간 구빈 시설이었다. 전 승지였던 고운정과 교원 윤태진 등 16명이 1898년 6월 25일 서소문 전 선혜청 자리에 설립하였다. 설립비용은 16명이 추렴한 각 2만냥과 시골부인들의 의조금 10만냥으로 총 42만냥의 민간자금이었다. 설립취지는 곤궁한 사람을 불쌍히 여기시는 황제의 구휼부담의 분담이었으며, 백성들이 유망하는 것을 좌시할 수 없는 동포의 의리로 볼 때 빈부가 비록 다르더라도 사랑하고 보호해야겠다는 마음이었다고 밝히고 있다. 약 300명에게 밥과 옷을 지급하고, 치료 및 장례를 진행하였다. 그러다 같은 해 10월 27일 고종황제로부터 혁파의 명을 받아 폐쇄되었다. 이후 1899년 3월 20일경 재설치되었는데, 고운정에 의해 추진되었으며, 운영은 정부에서 하였다. 장소는 종로 전 감옥의 자리였다. 진민소는 비록 짧은 기간동안 존재했었지만, 빈민구제가 주로 정부의 역할이었던 때 정부 진휼기관인 진휼청이 폐지된 상태에서 민간이 설립, 운영한 시설이다. 갑오개혁으로 진휼청이 폐쇄되면서 정부가 해야 할 진휼이 체계적으로 이루어지지 않아 기민구휼이 문제였던 시점에 세워진 진민소는 그 존재 자체만으로도 사회복지역사에 있어 큰 의의를 갖는다.

Effects of feeding level on nutrient digestibility and enteric methane production in growing goats (Capra hircus hircus) and Sika deer (Cervus nippon hortulorum)

  • Objective: Two experiments were conducted to determine the effects of feeding level on nutrient digestibility and enteric methane ($CH_4$) emissions in growing goats and Sika deer. Methods: Three growing male goats (initial body weight [BW] of $22.4{\pm}0.9kg$) and three growing male deer (initial BW of $20.2{\pm}4.8kg$) were each allotted to a respiration-metabolism chamber for an adaptation period of 7 d and a data collection period of 3 d. An experimental diet was offered to each animal at one of three feeding levels (1.5%, 2.0%, and 2.5% of BW) in a $3{\times}3$ Latin square design. The chambers were used for measuring enteric $CH_4$ emission. Results: Nutrient digestibility decreased linearly in goats as feeding level increased, whereas Sika deer digestibility was not affected by feeding level. The enteric production of $CH_4$ expressed as g/kg dry matter intake (DMI), g/kg organic matter intake, and % of gross energy intake decreased linearly with increased feeding level in goats; however, that of Sika deer was not affected by feeding level. Six equations were estimated for predicting the enteric $CH_4$ emission from goats and Sika deer. For goat, equation 1 was found to be of the highest accuracy: $CH_4(g/d)=6.2({\pm}14.1)+10.2({\pm}7.01){\times}DMI(kg/d)+0.0048({\pm}0.0275){\times}dry$ matter digestibility (DMD, g/kg)-0.0070 (${\pm}0.0187$)${\times}$neutral detergent fiber digestibility (NDFD; g/kg). For Sika deer, equation 4 was found to be of the highest accuracy: $CH_4(g/d)=-13.0({\pm}30.8)+29.4({\pm}3.93){\times}DMI(kg/d)+0.046(0.094){\times}DMD(g/kg)-0.0363({\pm}0.0636){\times}NDFD(g/kg)$. Conclusion: Increasing the feeding level increased $CH_4$ production in both goats and Sika deer, and predictive models of enteric $CH_4$ production by goats and Sika deer were estimated.

Intake, digestibility, and performance of lambs fed spineless cactus cv. Orelha de Elefante Mexicana

  • Objective: To evaluate the effects of the carmine cochineal-resistant spineless cactus genotypes cv. Orelha de Elefante Mexicana (Opuntia) and Miúda (Nopalea) on the intake and digestibility of nutrients, ingestive behavior, performance, and ultrasound measurements of growing lambs. Methods: Thirty-six male (non-castrated) Santa Inês lambs were used, with an average age of 6 months and an initial average weight of 22.0±2.9 kg. They were distributed in a completely randomized design with 3 treatments (Tifton hay, Nopalea and Opuntia) and 12 replications, using initial weight as a covariate. The experimental period was 86 days, with the first 30 days used for the adaptation of the animals to the facilities, diets and management, and the remaining 56 days used for evaluation and data collection. Results: The intake and apparent digestibility of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), total carbohydrates (TC), non-fibrous carbohydrates (NFC), and total digestible nutrients (TDN) showed a significant difference (p<0.05) as a function of the diets, with the Nopalea treatment (p<0.05) increasing DM intake (g/kg and % body weight [BW]), CP, TDN, and TC digestibility, whereas the Tifton hay diet led to a high (p<0.001) neutral detergent fiber corrected for ash and protein (NDFap) g/d intake, NDFap (BW %) and digestibility of said nutrient. There was no effect of treatments (p>0.05) on feeding time, however, rumination time and total chewing time were higher (p<0.05) for animals fed Tifton hay. The performance of the animals was similar (p>0.05). For the ultrasound measurements, Nopalea promoted an increase in the final loin eye area, compared to Tifton hay. Conclusion: The use of spineless cactus variety Miúda leads to the greater intake and digestibility of nutrients. The evaluated carmine cochineal-resistant spineless cactus genotypes are alternatives for semi-arid regions as they do not negatively affect the performance of growing lambs.

패션에 있어서 시간성이 반영된 룩에 관한 고찰 (A Consideration of Look Reflecting Time in Fashion)

  • The purpose of this study is to present a new viewpoint in look by closely examining fashion and look through the past, present, and future. Specifically, the concept of time is studied and fashion is considered based upon the concept of time, finally, looks in fashion related to time are analysed. For this study, the literature of retro, modern, contemporary, futuristic looks that express the past, present, and future, and the classic look, the popularity of which transcends the concept of time was considered focusing on 20th century women's fashion. Design characteristics of these looks were analyzed utilizing photographs of collection images. The results of the study are as follows: first, although the retro look of different periods regularly rotate and appear, they change and develop in new and various ways depending on the Periodic background of the time they appear in, and thus show simultaneously the cyclical and straight nature of time. Second, the modern look includes not only the moaning of time concept of the present, but also of interpreting anew the formal significance of modernism in the present. In other words, because it cyclically repeats the times of past modern periods, the look can be said to focus on the cyclical nature of time. Third, the contemporary look is a style that expresses current time most exactly as it exists, and it can be said to be the look in which current time is most vividly expressed. Fourth, the time concept in futuristic look is a subjective time that selectively accommodates and expresses the objective time of the future which has not yet come, and that can be the look's most important point. Last, the classic look possesses an objective value that transcends the concept of time, and it keeps returning, showing the cyclical nature of time. The closer this study came to the present, it could be seen that a look communicated more complex meanings, Influenced by periodic phases such as diversification, individualization, and eclecticism, and that while it could not be defined as any one look, various elements were expressed eclectically by being mixed and matched with each other, and it could utilize more natural forms, colors, and materials.

PLANT BIOCHEMISTRY OF GINSENG SAPONINS(III) Radioactive Studies (2). Sodium Acetate-U-$C^{14}$ Experiment

  • The radioactive compound sodium $acetate-U-C^{14}$ (C-14 acetate) was administered to two- and four-year-old July and September American ginseng (Panax quinquefolium L.) plants and cuttings. The C-14 acetate uptake was approximately $99\%.$ The autoradiochromatograms suggest that the saponins(panaquilins) isolated by preparative thin-layer chromatography contained impurities, especially those isolated from the leaf and stem extracts. The root and fruit methanol extracts yielded relatively pure saponins. The large amounts of panaquilin B and its proximity to panaquilin C on preparative thin-layer plates resulted in some admixing. The average concentration $(\%$ plant dry weight) of semipurified saponins were high in the leaves $(13.8\%),$ compared to fruits $(9.8\%),\;stems\;(7.9\%)\;and\;roots\;(6.3\%).$ The average percentage of C-14 acetate incorporation into panaquilins was $4.8\%.$ The average percentage of C-14 acetate incorporation into panaquilins B and C was higher $(1.40\%\;and\;1.13\%,$ respectively) than that into panaquilin C, (d), G-1 and G-2 $(0.75\%,\;0.65\%,\;0.13\%\;and\;0.53\%,$ respectively). Panaquilin synthesis may be depending upon the part collection period and age of the plant. The average percentage of C-14 acetate incorporation into panaquilin B is high in roots $(0.58\%)\;and\;stems\;(0.48\%);$ that into panaquilins C and (d) high in leaves $(0.40\%\;and\;0.45\%,$ respectively); and that into panaquilin E high in roots and leaves $(0.55\%\and\;0.50\%,$ respectively). Panaquilin G-2 was synthesized in all parts of plants. The panaquilins appear to be biosynthesized more actively in July than September (exception-panaquilin G-l). Panaquilins B, C and G-1 may be biosynthesized more actively in four-year-old plants and panaquilins (d) and E more actively in two-year-old plants. The results from expectance with cuttings suggest that the panaquilins are synthesized de novo in the above-ground parts of ginseng plants, and that panaquilin G-l may be synthesized de novo in the leaf. It is known from the tissue culture studies that panaquilins are produced by leaf, stem and root callus tissues and callus-root cultures of American and Korean ginseng plants. Panaquilins may actively be synthesized de novo in most any cell or organ of the ginseng plants. It was verified that C-14 acetate was incorporated into the panaxadiol portions of the panaquilins of two-year-old plants (sp. act., 0.56 $m{\mu}Ci/mg$) and four-year-old plants (sp. act., 0.54 $m{\mu}Ci/mg$).

송이(Tricholoma matsutake)생산(生産)과 관련되는 기후특성분석(氣候特性分析) (Studies on Analyzing Meteorological Elements Related with Yield of Tricholoma matsutake (S. Ito et Imai) Singer.)

  • 송이 인공재배(人工栽培)의 기초자료(基礎資料)로 활용하고자 송이생산과 관련되는 기후특성(氣候特性)을 분석(分析)하여 다음과 같은 결과(結果)를 얻었다. 1. 10년간(年間) 연평균(年平均) 송이 수량(收量)이 30.000 kg을 상회하는 지역은 양양 등 6개 지역이 있었으며 송이생산지역은 동해안지대, 소백산지대, 영남내륙지대, 중부내륙지대의 일부지역(一部地域)에 편중되어 있음. 2. 송이생산지역의 연평균 기온은 $10{\sim}13^{\circ}C$ 범위였고 강수량은 $1000{\sim}1300mm$의 범위였으며 송이 수량(收量)과 연평균(年平均) 강수량, 연평균(年平均) 기온과의 관계(關係)는 일정한 경향이 없었음. 3. 조사지역(調査地域)(표고(標高) 110-130 m)의 송이발생기의 기온은 $15{\sim}25^{\circ}C$, 지온(地溫)은 $15{\sim}20^{\circ}C$ 범위였음. 4. 송이 수량예측 요인은 전년(前年) $4{\sim}10$월 강수량, $7{\sim}9$월 평균(平均) 최저기온(最低氣溫), $8.{\;}21{\sim}9.{\;}10$일 강수일수, $9.{\;}11{\sim}9.{\;}30$일 강수량 등이었음 5. 지온조사(地溫調査)로 송이 첫 발생시기의 예측이 가능(可能)하였음.
