Governance Structures to Facilitate Collaboration of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Science &Technology Parks

  • There are very few studies on governance structure for the collaboration between HEIs and science and technology parks until today. Major activities between science parks and HEIs are R&D activities, collaborative researches, technology transfer, space provision for BIs and Technology BIs in the science parks, provision of technical, legal and financial services for start-ups and venture firms. Governance structure for the collaboration of high education institutes with science and technology parks is the handling of complexity and management of dynamic flows of collaboration between two groups. Three models on the governance structure for the collaboration are suggested in this study. The first model is a governance structure that links R&D system such as universities, public research institutes and private research institutes with industrial production cluster such as a group of companies and industrial parks. The second model is a governance structure that has four layers of hierarchy. This hierarchical governance model is composed of four levels of organizations such as central government, three actors, one center for collaboration and many individual research performers. The third model is a governance structure that networks all the stakeholders horizontally. Under this structure, governance is conducted by the network members with no separate and unique governance entity.

  • 워크플로우 관리시스템이 폭넓게 사용됨에 따라 조직간의 협업이 증가하고 있다. 워크플로우 시스템의 협업이 증가함에 따라 보안의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 사용자 인증 워크플로우 시스템간의 안전한 통신 기능 등의 보안 기능은 인터넷상에서 워크플로우 관리시스템의 운영에 영향을 미치고 있지만, 워크플로우 시스템은 협업을 기반으로 보안 프로토콜이 제공되지 않은 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문은 워크플로우 관리시스템의 협업기반 보안 프로토콜을 제안한다. 협업 기반 보안 프로토콜의 제안을 위해서 본 논문은 워크플로우 관리시스템의 보안요구사항을 분석하고, 보안요구사항을 바탕으로 보안 아키텍쳐와 보안 프로토콜을 제시한다.

Review of Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment as a Supply Chain Collaboration Program

  • Purpose - This study primarily aims to represent the current trend of research on CPFR as a promising supply chain collaboration program and proposes a new framework for analyzing any collaboration programs in terms of three key collaborative features. Research design, data, and methodology - This study employs a literature review of selected studies that conduct research on CPFR. CPFR is analyzed based on the proposed framework that characterizes collaboration programs in terms of three key collaborative features. Results - The analysis based on the proposed framework reveals that the current form of CPFR continues to have some collaborative features that are not fully utilized to create an advanced collaboration program. The literature review indicates that most past studies ignore critical issues including the dynamic nature of the multiple-stage supply chain system and negotiation process for collaborative agreement in CPFR implementation. Conclusions - Results indicate that CPFR can become a better supply chain collaboration program by incorporating coordinative cost payment and joint decision making processes. Based on observations on the existing literature of CPFR, this study indicates several important issues to be addressed by future studies.

공공부문에서의 협업이 업무성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (Study on the Impact of Collaboration on Business Performance in the Public Sector)

  • 우리사회를 둘러싸고 있는 대내외적인 환경변화는 우리 정부로 하여금 여러 가지 난제들을 해결하도록 압박을 하고 있다. 이러한 난제들은 대개 어느 한 부처 혹은 어느 특정기관만이 해결할 수 없는 다부처관련 혹은 여러 기관에 걸친 문제들일 가능성이 매우 높다. 따라서 정부의 문제해결 능력을 높이기위해서는 무엇보다도 협업이 문제 해결을 위한 필수적인 전략이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리사회에서 많은 논란거리가 되어왔으나 여러 부처에 관련되어 있어 해결이 쉽지 않았던 난제들을 각고의 노력 끝에 해결한 지방자치단체의 사례를 분석하여 협업을 성공적으로 이끄는데 필요한 요인들이 무엇인지에 대해서 고찰해 보았다. 우선, 협업 및 협업의 유형에 대한 이론적 검토를 하였다. 둘째, 협업의 사례를 고찰하기 위해 관련 공무원들을 대상으로 인터뷰를 수행하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 끝으로 정부부문내에서 협업을 촉진하기 위한 전략적 방안에 대하여 논의하였다. 분석결과 협업을 유도하기 위해서는 협업의 공동 목표를 공유해야 하며, 협업을 유도할 인센티브, 지원제도 등의 요인들이 매우 중요함을 밝혀냈다.

스마트 단말기 상의 기능적 지원을 위한 협업 서비스 모델 연구 (A Study of Collaboration Service Model for Supporting Functional Resources in Smart Device)

  • 스마트 단말기가 확산되면서 사용자에게 최적의 서비스 또는 지능화된 서비스를 제공해주는 스마트 환경이 연구되고 있다. 스마트 환경에서 다수의 단말기들은 상호작용을 통해 사용자에게 최적의 서비스를 제공하고 생산성을 높이는 필요성이 요구된다. 즉, 스마트 환경은 단말기 간의 자원 활용을 극대화할 수 있고 작업의 효율을 증대할 수 있는 스마트 단말기 협업을 지원할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 저사양 단말기의 재사용성을 높여 단말기 효율성 증대와 개인의 스마트 공간 구현에 도움이 되고자 데이터 콘텐츠 자원뿐만 아니라 단말기의 기능 및 소프트웨어 등과 같은 기능적 지원까지 가능한 새로운 단말기 협업 서비스 모델을 제안하였다. 이를 스마트 단말기 협업 서비스라고 정의하였으며, 전체적인 서비스 모델 구성을 설계하였다. 제안한 새로운 단말기 협업 서비스 모델을 증명하기 위하여 연락처 교환 및 카메라 기능 지원이 가능한 스마트 협업 애플리케이션을 개발하였다. 본 연구 결과는 새로운 단말기 협업 서비스 모델이 등장할 것을 기대하며, 이러한 서비스의 활용을 통해 사용자들은 자신의 사용하지 않았던 단말기까지 재사용할 수 있어 자원 낭비를 막고, 개인 스마트 공간 구성에 도움을 줄 것이라 예상한다.

A Study on the Collaboration Development between the SSM and Traditional Markets in Korean Government Policies

  • Purpose - This study aims to suggest policy directions for small retail markets in Korea by statistical analysis, which would help small retailers who are facing various difficulties. Research design, data, methodology - This study diagnoses the problems faced by small retail industries in Korea based on government statistics. In addition, this study identifies three areas for successful collaboration between the SSMs and traditional markets-information distribution, products, and fair trade. Results - This study makes three recommendations-information distribution, products, and fair trade. This includes activation of the existing mutual collaboration efforts, channels, CSR report writing and publicity, ethical management cooperation seminars, contract systems of no return, establishment of staff outsourcing standards, and support for suppliers' organizations. Conclusions - Our suggestions for a collaborative system (based on the three suggestions) show that collaboration rather than confrontation between large and small markets can lead to a sales increase of 2,258.2 billion Won, which is equivalent to the sales loss in 11 traditional markets in one year in Busan.

Analysis of Intermediary Roles and Technical Components for Smartglass-Assisted Interactive Remote Collaboration

  • Recent advances in Internet-of-Things and wearable computing have established computationally sufficient infrastructure to remove the barriers of physical locations. The recent COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the use of remote collaboration, work-from-home, teleconferencing, online education, digital twin, and metaverse enriched with various configurations of augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, and extended reality. Beyond specialized niche wearable applications in the medical and entertainment domains, we aim to identify the underlying characteristics of smartglass-enabled killer applications for everyday use. In this paper, we analyze intermediary roles in remote collaboration consisting of authoritative supervisors, synergetic collaborators, and speculative explorers. We also propose technical components for smartglass-assisted interactive remote collaboration composed of personal tracking, teleconference, and interaction components. More specifically, the application tasks of each intermediary role and objectives of three functional components are defined and elaborated.

  • As the design environment of domestic infrastructure facilities shifts from a traditional co-work office system to a virtual digital co-work office, a CDE collaboration platform is required to build a digital co-work office suitable for the domestic design environment. In addition, a number of large multinational projects requiring collaboration from domestic and foreign construction companies are ordered, and procedures for performing tasks based on international standards such as ISO 19650 are required, so preparation for domestic designers is required. Therefore, this study aims to derive CDE requirements for the development of an ISO 19650-based CDE collaboration platform suitable for domestic design environments, and derived Korean CDE requirements based on ISO 19650 series and overseas CDE cases.

A Conceptual Framework for an Information Behavior Model Based on the Collaboration Perspective between User and System for Information Retrieval

  • This research aimed (1) to study and analyze the ability of current information retrieval (IR) systems based on views of information behavior (IB), and (2) to propose a conceptual framework for an IB model based on the collaboration between the system and user, with the intent of developing an IR system that can apply intelligent techniques to enhance system efficiency. The methods in this study consisted of (1) document analysis which included studying the characteristics and efficiencies of the current IR systems and studying the IB models in the digital environment, and (2) implementation of the Delphi technique through an indepth interview method with experts. The research results were presented in three main parts. First, the IB model was categorized into eight stages, different from traditional IB, in the digital environment, which can correspond to all behaviors and be applied to with an IR system. Second, insufficient functions and log file storage hinder the system from effectively understanding and accommodating user behavior in the digital environment. Last, the proposed conceptual framework illustrated that there are stages that can add intelligent techniques to the IR system based on the collaboration perspective between the user and system to boost the users' cognitive ability and make the IR system more user-friendly. Importantly, the conceptual framework for the IB model based on the collaboration perspective between the user and system for IR assisted the ability of information systems to learn, recognize, and comprehend human IB according to individual characteristics, leading to enhancement of interaction between the system and users.

  • 국내 건설엔지니어링 업체가 새로운 사업모델을 개발하기 위해서는 엔지니어링 설계분야에 대한 확고한 기반 구축이 필요하며, 이는 설계협력사와의 협력관계 조성을 통해 가능하다. 이에 본 연구는 문헌 및 면담조사를 실시하여 설계협력사와의 협력관계 실태를 파악한 후, 건설엔지니어링 업체와 설계협력사간의 전략적 제휴방안을 제안하였다. 설계협력사와의 전략적 제휴는 경영${\cdot}$재무, 인력${\cdot}$기술, 관리제도 분야별로 시행단계, 발전단계, 전략적 제휴단계를 거쳐 이루어지도록 하였다.
