The purpose of this study was to establish the effective model for community-centered youth development in Korea. The research methods used the extensive review of related literatures and consultation with a panel of experts in this field. Based on the major results, the implications and suggestions were as follows. First, community youth development will need to provide the opportunities of competencies and a full complement of positive connections to youth activities. Second, communities promote to engage youth as partners with adults in the process of positive youth development. Third, youth development organizations operate to support the programs to prevent or treat specific problems in terms of community youth contexts. Finally, collaboration and network are necessarily required among youth, adults, home, school, organizations within the community.

Entrepreneurship development has increasingly become a global solution to address the problem of rising unemployment. Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) have become important tools in improving the economic performance and social well-being of nations. When universities and industry work together to push the boundaries of knowledge, they become a powerful engine for innovation and economic growth. This paper is based on focus group interviews and discussions conducted with key players involved in the HIT-Sandown-UNDP Business Incubation Programme in Harare Zimbabwe. The business incubation project sought to support young Zimbabweans to transform their technical prototypes into commercially and socially viable ventures. As a result, a total of 10 prototypes were refined and investor ready business plans were developed for capital sourcing purposes. It was only through the coming together of the partners that real transformation of the lives of the participants was achieved through learning valuable business skills, coaching and mentoring. University-industry partnerships are a useful vehicle of setting up sustainable business incubation centres.

We develop an intelligent information system in a multilayer electronic supply chain network. Using the internet for supply chain management (SCM) is a key interest for contemporary managers and researchers. It has been realized that the internet can facilitate SCM by making real time information available and enabling collaboration between trading partners. Here, we propose a multi-agent system to analyze the performance of the elements of a supply network based on the attributes of the information flow. Each layer consists of elements which are differentiated by their performance throughout the supply network. The proposed agents measure and record the performance flow of elements considering their web interactions for a dynamic route selection. A dynamic programming approach is applied to determine the optimal route for a customer in the end-user layer.

Alliances, collaborations and partnerships are essential practices in today's business. The purpose of this study was to understand the trends in retail alliances by analyzing the patterns of alliances in the Korean retail market. Retail alliance cases were collected from the published news article database in a major internet portal. A total of 1,061 retail alliance cases for the first decade of the 2000s were categorized into the alliances: 1) within the same retail format and 2) across different formats within the retail industry; and 3) with service industries and 4) with manufacturing industries outside the retail industry. The study described the patterns on the characteristics of participating retailers and partners, industries involved, and alliance types for each of the four categories.

Standards are increasing of importance for photovoltaics. The rapid growth of production is one reason for this but standards are equally important in ensuring the quality and reliability of installed PV systems. which have a propound impact on acceptance of the technology in the expanding marketplace. Korea government (Korean Agency for Technology and Standards. KATS)make and implement a five year plans for promotion of international standardization of this field from 2004. Through these works and harmonization of PV Korea standards with international standards(international electrotechnical commission. IEC). KATS leads the technology innovations and eventually increases the international Competitiveness. Strategic collaboration with other countries is also strengthened through Korea's participation in IECEE(IEC system for conformity and certification of electrical equipment) on standards and conformity assessment. One of the major goals of the Plan is to facilitate trade between Korea and its trading partners by emphasizing harmonization of its national conformity assessment system with international norms

First, community youth activity will need to provide the opportunities of enhancing the competencies and a full complement of positive connections to youth programs. Second, communities promote to engage youth as partners with adults in the process of positive youth development. Third, youth development organizations operate to support the programs to prevent risky-behaviors or treat specific problems in terms of community youth contexts. Finally, collaboration and network are necessarily required among youth, adults, family, school, organizations within the community. Changes to work and workplace are so significant that policies refer to 'the knowledge society' at the same time 'information society'. Future workers will need to have the skills of information and communications management and control.

Today's competitive global market makes most enterprise endeavor to specialize their business areas, and co-operate with trading partners in supply chain by the forms of collaboration, information and business process sharing. However, even the supply chain plan generated by co-operation often fails to be executed successfully, because it was generated without capacities of suppliers and more over nested suppliers. To overcome this limitation, the supply chain plan of an enterprise should be generated truly integrated way. In this paper, we classify business patterns based on scenarios about quotation processing and supply chain planning in self-integrated environment. And we present business process models about four business patterns and describe them, which are classified by whether request for quotation includes information about price, required time periods, and quantity for each required time period and whether it is received from customer or sent to supplier. In addition, we describe the types of supply chain planning problem.

A telecooperation system supports synchronous cooperation among all the product development partners and enables compensation of deficits concerning traditional information/communication technologies. By analyzing the product development processes and communication scenarios of a company manufacturing automobile parts, the specifications for the suitable telecooperation system were defined. An integrated telecooperation platform that combines the commercial softwares with the new developed modules for customer-oriented functionalities was created as a product development guideline. Future work is strongly required in order to define the best way to improve the integrated platform, based on the functionality of ERP and PDM systems.

This study empirically investigated the relationships among inter-organizational cost management (IOCM), cooperation with suppliers, information exchange between partners, inter-organizational learning, control integration, and the supply-chain performance of a firm. The results showed that the adoption of IOCM positively affects the collaboration between buyers and suppliers, which also leads to the increased information flow between them. According to the results of this study, it was found that inter-organizational information flow causes inter-organizational learning, and this learning contributes to the improved supply-chain performance. In this study, the positive effects of the cooperation with suppliers through IOCM on the control integration in supply-chains were not empirically confirmed. However, the impact of IOCM on control integration was significant and positive. Finally, the fact that the enhanced control integration can improve the supply-chain performance of a firm was empirically demonstrated.
