LCD 반사필름의 접합 와인딩 공정을 위한 장력 제어 (Tension Control for Coating Winding Process of LCD Reflective Film)

  • The demand for the metal coil coated with reflective film is rapidly increasing with the increasing demand of notebook PCs and LCD monitors. During the coating process, it is very important to regulate tension of the coil metal since fluctuation of the tension can significantly degrade quality of the product. In this study, a tension controller has been developed for winding process of LCD reflective film coating. The controller has been tested on the existing coating facilities, and the results are to be given in this paper.

  • This is the first release of an interim report on the development of coating technology of Zn-Mg alloy layers on steel strip by EML-PVD (electromagnetic levitation - physical vapor deposition) process in an air-to-air type continuous PVD pilot plant. It intends to introduce a basic principle of the EML-PVD process together with the high speed PVD pilot plant built in Posco. Due to the agitation effect provided by the high frequency induction coil, simultaneous evaporation of Zn and Mg from a droplet could produce alloy coating layers with Mg content of 6% to 12% depending on the composition of the droplet inside the coil. For its superior corrosion resistance, Zn-Mg alloy coated steel would be a very promising material for automotive, electrical appliances, and construction applications.

RF코일로 사용된 구리선 코팅재질이 자기공명영상에서의 신호대잡음비에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Coating Material of Copper-wire RF Coil on the Signal-to-Noise Ratio in MR Images)

  • 목적 : 자기공명영상 장비에서 신호를 주고 받는 주요 부분인 RF 코일의 성능 특성인 Q 값 (quality factor)과 신호대잡음비 (SNR, signal-to-noise ratio) 값에 미치는 코일 구리선 코팅 재질의 영향을 조사하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 폴리에스테르 (polyester), 폴리우레탄 (polyurethane), 폴리이미드 (polyimide), 폴리아마이드이미드 (polyamideimide), 폴리에스테르이미드 (polyester-imide)가 코팅된 직경 0.4 mm 구리선을 사용하여, 내경이 1.7mm인 RF 코일을 솔레노이드 형태로 제작한 후 network analyzer로 Q 값을 측정하였다. 또한 제작된 RF 코일을 600 MHz MRI (14.1 T, Bruker DMX600) 장비를 이용하여 표준시료를 이용한 자기공명영상 실험을 수행하였으며, 5개의 다른 코팅 재질과 코팅이 없는 경우에 대하여 영상에서의 신호대잡음비를 비교하였다. 결과 : 코팅 피복을 벗겨내고 측정한 신호대잡음비는 오차 범위에서 유사하였으며, 코팅되어 있는 경우에는 그 재질에 따라 Q 값 및 신호대잡음비가 다르고, 폴리에스테르의 경우를 제외하면 코팅 피복이 없는 경우와 비교하여 큰 값을 보였다. 폴리우레탄 코팅 구리선을 사용하였을 때 Q 값 및 신호대잡음비가 가장 크게 나타났으며, 가장 작은 값을 보인 폴리에스테르 코팅재질인 경우와 비교할 때 신호대잡음비가 34% 정도 큰 값을 보였다. 결론 : 1.2 mm 이하의 작은 생체시료에 적합한 솔레노이드형 RF 코일을 상용 프로브에 장착하여 사용할 수 있도록 손쉽게 제작하였으며, 폴리우레탄으로 코팅된 구리선으로 만들어진 코일의 경우 신호대잡음비가 30% 이상으로 가장 우수한 결과를 보였고, 따라서 코팅 재질의 선택이 자기공명영상의 결과에 중요하게 작용함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper presents mechanical analysis of gas turbine generator (113MVA, $3{\phi}$, 2P, 0.9PF, F class, 3600rpm, 60Hz, 13.8kV, 4.72kA, Air-Cooling) field coil deformation. Rotor end coil deformation is only appeared on turbine end but collector end coil is normal. Expansion direction of end coil is tangential not axial. Deformation appears more severe at top turn. Retaining ling is expanded by centrifugal force of coil and itself. In case friction coefficient between coil top surface and retaining ring insulation inner surface is small, coil end length ${\ell}$ does not change. However, in case friction coefficient big condition, coil end is expanded ${\Delta}{\ell}$ due to start and stop. Deformation is assumed about 30mm by watching photograph inner surface of retaining ring is coated by Teflon at manufacturing condition. Usually Teflon coating insulation surface is small friction coefficient. It's value 0.08${\sim}$0.15. However it's value exceeds more than 0.297. Since top turn deformation appears. The distortion and subsequent failure have occurred because of the lack of a sufficient slip-plane between the top field coil conductors and the inside surface of the retaining ring insulation on the turbine end of the field-winding.

PAI 유/무기 하이브리드코일의 곡률변화에 따른 AC 및 DC 절연파괴 특성 (Insulation Breakdown Properties of AC and DC according to Curvature Variation of PAI Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Coils)

  • 4-types of coils were prepared by coating with polyamideimide (PAI) organic/inorganic hybrid. One type was made with original PAI vanish and the other 3-types were made of double layers, that was to say, high flexural PAI layer and high anti-corona PAI/nanosilica (15 wt%) layer. Drying temperature (T/D) were $220^{\circ}C$, $240^{\circ}C$, and $260^{\circ}C$, respectively and rectangular type coil for high-voltage rotating machine was used. DC and AC electrical breakdown tests were carried out in order to study the insulation properties according to T/D temperature and coil curvature (5, 15, and $25mm{\Phi}$). As the curvature increased, electrical breakdown voltage decreased and as T/D temperature decreased, electrical breakdown voltage increased.

솔레노이드 코일을 이용한 전자 마이크로 펌프의 제작 및 시험 (Fabrication and Test of an Electromagnetic Micropump using Solenoid Coil)

  • This paper presents the fabrication and test of a micropump with an electromagnetic actuator and a pair of aluminum flap valves. The actuator consists of a solenoid coil, a permanent magnet and an actuator diaphragm. The actuator diaphragm is fabricated by the spin coating of silicone rubber. The valve are passive ones and are fabricated by micromachining. The deflection of the fabricated actuator diaphragm is measured with a laser vibrometer. The deflection of the actuator diaphragm is proportional to the input current. The measured deflection of the fabricated diaphragm is $400 \mum$,/TEX> when the input is 118 mApp, and the cut-off frequency is 50 Hz. The maximum flow rate of the fabricated micropump with the electromagnetic actuator is about 5$0 \muell/min$ at 5 Hz when the input current and the duty ratio of the square was are 118 mApp and 50%, respectively.

인버터 서지와 온도 스트레스 하에서 Magnet Wire 절연 수명평가 (Insulation Life Estimation for Magnet Wire Under Inverter Surge and Temperature Stress)

  • Coil specimen was prepared by coating a copper wire with two varnish thin layers: the first was polyamideimide (PAI)/nanosilica (5 wt%) varnish and the second was anti-corona PAI/nanosilica (15 wt%) varnish. Insulation breakdown voltage was investigated under inverter surge condition at $20^{\circ}C$, $70^{\circ}C$, $100^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$, $250^{\circ}C$, respectively. The insulation lifetime of the two layered coil was tens of times longer than that of original PAI coil. And the insulation lifetime decreased with increasing ambient temperature because there was weak binding strength between copper and varnish layer.

고압전동기 모델 코일에서 부분방전 분석 (Analysis of Partial Discharge in High Voltage Motor Model Coils)

  • Five model coils of 6.6 kV motor were manufactured with several defects. These stator coils have artificial defects such as void of groundwall insulation, removal of semi-conductive coating and damage of strand insulation. Epoxy-mica coupler(80 pF) was connected to five model coil terminals. The voltage applied to the coils was 3.81 kV, 4.76 kV, 6.0 kV and 6.6 kV, respectively. Partial discharge(PD) tests performed in the laboratory and shield room. Digital PD detector(PDD) and turbine generator analyzer(TGA) were used to measure PD activity. TGA summarizes each plot with two quantities such as the normalized quantity number(NQN) and the peak PD magnitude(Qm). The PD levels in pC were measured with PDD. PD patterns of model coils were indicated the internal and slot discharges. PD patterns are consistent with the result of measurement using PDD and TGA instruments. AC breakdown test was performed on five model coils in order to confirm the result of PD measurements. All the failures were located in a line-end coil at the exit from the core slot.

Pulsed field magnetization of multi-turn short-circuited stabilized double pancake HTS coil

  • The pulsed field magnetization of the short-circuited soldered double pancake coil made of stabilized commercial high-Tc superconductor (HTS) tape is experimentally studied. The evolution of the shielding current induced by the pulsed field and the trapped field after the pulsed magnetization was measured at 77 K. It is shown that the trapped field in the coil is close to the value reached in the field cooling process and reduces weakly at 5-fold increasing of pulsed field amplitude. The current relaxation at t~2 ms after the pulse is defined by the current sharing between the tape's copper coating and the $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-d}$ layer. In the intermediate time scale (1 s < t < 100 s) the flux creep in HTS layer dominates. At t > 100 s the current's relaxation is defined by the resistance of soldered joint between tapes.

  • Deep drawing process, one of sheet metal forming methods, is used widely. Circular or square shape blanks are currently studied mainly. Especially, circular blank for coating case of chip condenser remains bridges when it is made out of aluminum coil. The bridge reduces Material-withdrawal-rate of aluminum coil to $60\%$. This paper proposes a no-bridge blank instead of circular blank. To get the different values of two cases, comparison circular blank with no-bridge blank is accomplished in the point of thickness strain in the vicinity of flange. In order to find optimal condition in new proposed blank, several process variables - those are blank holder shape, die shape radii, punch shape radii and blank holding force - are changed.
