청소년 약물남용 재활교육 프로그램의 모형개발에 관한연구 (The Study for Developing Educational Program Model for Adolescents Substance Abusers associated with Preventive and Rehabilitative Purpose)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the educational program model for adolescent substance abusers in relation to preventive and rehabilitative aspects. This educational program model was developed based not only on the social support theory ecological-developmental approach and cognitive-behavioral approach but also on previous studies. This model can be used both for adolescent substance abusers in early stage and in recovery stage. The main contribution of this study is that adolescent abusers will recover effectively through practicing this educational program model.

의료서비스에 대한 고객충성도 관련요인 분석 (Analysis of Relating Factors with Customer Loyalties in Medical Services)

  • This study was performed to explore multidimensional customer royalties and relating factors. 900 households, $1\%$ sample were randomly selected from K city located in Kangwon province. Interview survey was performed with structured Questionnaire for the entire people, 923 persons who experienced medical service utilization during one year before survey on time, september, 2004. In comparison of customer royalties by sociodemographic characteristics, the older group showed the higher level of cognitive and attitudinal royalties significantly. Education and income level also, showed negative relationship with cognitive, attitudinal and behavioral loyalties significantly. The more being a female and a visitor at oriental medicine clinic, the higher level of attitudinal loyalties. Customer satisfaction was a critical explaining variable for cognitive, attitudinal and behavioral loyalties. In multiple regression analysis, some sociodemographic characteristics showed significant relation with customer loyalties and customer satisfaction was the strongest relating variable to customer loyalties. In conclusion, multidimensional approach for customer loyalty is useful for understanding customer behaviors comprehensively. Future studies should focus on developing the more specific and valid measurement tools for customer loyalty in medical service.

Conversation Assistive Technology for Maintaining Cognitive Health

  • Purpose: There is a need for artificial intelligence which nurtures human intelligence as the prevalence of dementia and collapse of intelligence of human beings has become a social problem. Purpose of this study is to develop intervention technologies for maintaining cognitive health of older adults. Methods: The method named the Coimagination Method (CM) was proposed and has been developed in order to achieve goal. Conversation assistive technologies have been developed and tested based on the method. Results: The state of the art of the group conversation support system, and regular series of group conversation sessions for full-years with insights for healthy older adults are described in detail. Participatory approach has been applied to the design process for simultaneous research and implementation of the service. Both participants and practitioners have been maintaining their cognitive health for independent living. Conclusion: Findings imply that there exist potentially preventive types of dementia and intervention should be applicable for such types. Ways of thinking and living are gently intervened through understanding of personal values and broadening minds, which lead to improved quality of life.

행동조절을 통한 장애인 환자 치료 (Behavior management for dental patients with special needs)

  • Individuals with special needs include those with behavioral issues, developmental disorders, cognitive disorders, congenital or genetic disorders, or systemic disease. These conditions may place them at increased risk for oral diseases. Dental management of patients with special needs require in-depth understanding of the background of disability and available behavioral guidance theories. Therefore dental team members need more training in the theory and practice of behavior management principles, which might lead to a clinical experience that is more respectful of the dignity and independence of patients with special needs. The dental professional should be flexible to modify the behavior management approach according to the individual patients needs. Also a family/care-giver centered approach based on their preferences and concerns, the patient's challenging behaviors, and related medical problem can serve to improve the treatment planning and oral health management of dental patients with special needs. This article focuses on uncooperative behavior and behavior management, which help practicing dentists to understand their role in the care of patients with special needs.

  • The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the relationship between the results of the analysis of the overseas railroad station buildings, which was conducted using the factors of environmental cognition for the purpose of designing an interior environment for the Incheon International Airport Railroad station that will be newly constructed, and the plan that could be applied to the design of interior environment for the airport railroad station. The station with a complex interior space layout and relatively larger space tends to be difficult to predict or forecast passenger's needs or recognition element in approaching stage of intoner environment design since the human's biological memory system is greatly affected by such factors. Cognitive approach at empirical standpoint would possibly create the design, of which elements will Implement the functions of their own as such approach enables necessary information to be structured in a systematical way and manner In implementing interior environment design for such stations to be built for the first time in Korea, behavioral approach based on systematic theory proved to be very crucial. Under such a background, the study was aimed at extracting the assessment elements for interior environment design, then setting the frame of cognitive approach to eventually propose the guideline in approaching to interior environment design.

뇌기반 진화적 접근법에 따른 과학 자유탐구에 대한 초등학교 학생의 인식 (Elementary School Students' Perceptions on Free Science Inquiry Activities Applying a Brain-Based Evolutionary Approach)

  • In National Curriculum of Science revised in 2007, free inquiry was newly introduced to increase student's interest in science and to foster creativity by having students make their own curiosity questions and find answers by themselves. The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary school students' perceptions on free science inquiry activities applying a brain-based evolutionary approach. For this study, 106 the fifth grade students participated, and then completed a questionnaire on free inquiry activities according to a brain-based evolutionary science teaching and learning principles. The students performed a series of steps of the Diversifying, Estimating-Evaluating-Executing, and Furthering activities in each of Affective, Behavioral, and Cognitive domains (ABC-DEF approach) and constructed their own free inquiry diary, then the observations by the researcher and interviews with the students were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The major results of the study were as follows: First, the majority of the students perceived the each domain and step positively although a few of them perceived negatively. The reasons perceived as negatively were categorized into two; preference dimension of like or dislike and ability dimension of metacognitive or self-reflective capacity. Also, they perceived the free inquiry experience in the form of ABC-DEF as helpful to understand the nature of scientists' scientific activities. Based on these findings, implications for supporting authentic inquiry in school science are discussed.

임상실천 평가를 위한 단일체계설계의 적용 -우울증 감소를 위한 인지행동치료에 대한 평가를 중심으로- (Use of Single-System Design to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy of Depression)

  • 임상실천의 평가를 위한 도구로 단일체계설계를 강조하는 본 연구는 우울증 치료를 위해 정신과 병원에 입원한 3명의 클라이언트들에게 인지행동치료를 제공하고 개입의 효과성을 평가하기 위해 AB 설계를 사용하였다. 본 연구에 참여하기로 동의한 3명의 클라이언트는 모두 약 2주간의 기초선 단계와 약 3주간의 개입단계에 참가하였다. 평가결과의 타당성을 높이기 위해 다각적 측정원칙을 적용하였고, 기초선 단계와 개입단계 동안 수집된 자료는 시각적인 방법과 통계적인 방법으로 분석되었다. 시각적 분석의 정확성을 높이기 위해 추세선, 추세지수 등과 같은 방법을 활용하여 분석한 결과, 클라이언트 3명의 우울증상이 개입단계에서 모두 나아진 것으로 나타났으며 이러한 개선은 통계적으로도 유의미하였다. 본 연구는 모니터링, 클라이언트를 실천과정에 적극적으로 참여시킬 수 있는 기회 제공, 자료분석의 용이성을 임상실천평가를 위해 단일체계설계를 사용함으로써 얻게 되는 장점으로 들고 있다.

수용전념치료 (Acceptance and commitment therapy)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a functional contextual intervention approach based on the behavioral theory on human language, which views human suffering as originating in psychological inflexibility fostered by cognitive fusion and experiential avoidance. Thus, the goal of ACT is to enhance psychological flexibility using six core processes including acceptance, cognitive defusion, self-as-context, contact with present moment, values clarification, and committed action. Recent clinical trials have suggested the efficacy for ACT in the treatment of various mental illness and psychological distress. The aim of this review is to offer more knowledge and better understanding of ACT by presenting its underlying principle and an overview of the research field.

정상인에서 메칠페니데이트가 학습에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Methylphenidate on Learning in Normal Population)

  • Methylphenidate is a widely used stimulant for treatment of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In addition to core symptoms of attention and behavioral symptoms, methylphenidate is even effective for executive functions. However, abuse and misuse of stimulants, including methylphenidate, for the purpose of cognitive enhancement is an issue of concern worldwide. Some prejudices and misunderstandings against methylphenidate are popular ; however, little attention has been given to the neuropsychiatric evidence of methylphenidate for enhancement of cognitive function among healthy populations. In this article, our aim was to conduct a review of previous studies investigating the effect of methylphenidate in healthy populations. Findings from several recent studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of methylphenidate for enhancement of cognitive function in healthy populations. The mechanisms of cognitive enhancement are thought to be associated with motivation and the reward circuit in the brain. However, when considering the risk to benefit, an official discussion of the use of methylphenidate among healthy members of the population would be premature. Instead, investigation of epidemiological studies of the prevalence of misuse of stimulants among healthy members of the population, particularly adolescents and college students, is needed. In addition, based on achievements reported in previous studies, investigation of the effect of an approach using non-pharmacological enhancing motivation, which will in turn result in increased cognitive function would be helpful.

신경인지장애의 정신행동증상에 대한 비약물학적 개입 (Non-Pharmacological Interventions for Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Neurocognitive Disorder)

  • 신경인지장애 환자들은 인지저하 뿐만 아니라 초조, 공격성, 우울, 배회 등의 정신행동증상들을 나타내며 이로 인해 환자와 가족이 상당한 고통을 받게 된다. 정신행동증상의 치료를 위해서는 환자 중심의, 비약물학적인 치료가 우선되어야한다. 본 논문은 신경인지장애 환자에서 나타나는 정신행동증상을 관리하고 치료하기 위한 비약물학적인 개입에 대하여 기술하였다. 초조, 우울, 무감동, 불면, 배회 등의 정신행동증상을 조절하기 위해서는 환경변화, 약물 등의 유발 인자를 파악하고 평가한 뒤, 그러한 문제를 해결해주는 것이 중요하다. 비약물학적인 개입 방법으로는 안심시키기, 활동 격려하기, 주의를 분산시키기, 환경을 변화시키기 등을 들 수 있다. 환자의 관점에서 행동을 이해하고, 그들의 요구와 능력에 맞게 접근해야한다. 비약물학적인 개입 방법으로 회상요법, 음악치료, 향기요법, 다중감각자극요법, 운동요법, 광선치료, 마사지 요법, 인지중재치료, 애완동물요법 등의 다양한 요법이 시행되고 있으며, 이러한 접근 방법이 환자의 우울, 무감동, 초조, 공격성, 불안, 배회, 불면 등의 증상을 호전시켜준다고 알려져 있다. 그러나, 효과에 대한 증거 수준이 높지 않아 향후에 좀 더 광범위하고 정확한 효과 검증 연구가 필요하다.
