The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of a cognitive enhancement program combined Silbot on cognitive function, depression, and dementia prevention behavior in the elderly complaining of subjective memory decline. The subjects were 170 elderly people living in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, and the study was performed at a welfare center. A total of 20 sessions program using Silbot and physical activity was developed and applied, and were evaluated using the Korean version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (K-MoCA), Geriatric depression Scale(GDS) , and Dementia Prevention Behavior before and after intervention. As a result of the study, the cognitive enhancement program combined Silbot showed statistically significant changes in cognitive function (t=-4.49, p<.001) and depression (t=2.58, p=.023) in the elderly. Therefore, it is expected that the cognitive enhancement program using Silbot will be a useful program that can enhance the cognitive function of the elderly and reduce depression.

Purpose: The purpose of this study were to overview the effect of exercise on neural plasticity and the proteins related to neural plasticity. Results: Exercise increased levels of BDNF(brain-derived neurotrophic factor), Insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I), Synapsin, Synaptophysin, VEGF(vascular endothelial growth factor) and other growth factors, stimulate neurogenesis, increase resistance to brain insult and improve learning and mental performance. These proteins improved synaptic plasticity by directly affecting synaptic structure and potentiating synaptic strength, and by strengthening the underlying systems that support plasticity including neurogenesis, metabolism and vascular function. Conclusion: Exercise-induced structural and functional change by these proteins can effect on functional movement, cognition in healthy and brain injured people and animals.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of oriental medical treatment on developmental disorder induced by traumatic brain injuries. Methods The patients were treated with herb medicine, acupunctures, moxibustions, and negative pressures, and then evaluated by manual muscle tests, gross motor function measurements, sequenced language scales for infants. Results The patient's manual muscle power, motility, cognition, speech were significantly improved after six weeks of oriental medical treatment. Conclusions This study showed that oriental medical treatments were effective on developmental disorder induced by traumatic brain injuries. However, further clinical studies were needed.

The neuropsychiatric sequelae of traumatic brain injury are effects on complex aspect of cognition, emotion and behavior. They include problems with attention and arousal, concentration, executive function, intellectual changes, memory inpairments, personality changes, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, apathy, aggression, and irritability. There are many useful therapeutic approaches available for people who have been brain injuries. Although a multifactioral, multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to treatment is proposed, for purposes of exposition the author have divided treatment into psychopharmacological, cognitive, behavioral, psychological, and social interventions.

Dementia is the neurodegenerative process that affects cognition, behavior and function and one of the most prominent diseases of dementia is Alzheimer's disease(AD). AD is a dementing illness characterized clinically by the progressive and irreversible deafferentation of the limbic system, association neocortex and basal forebrain. A number of conditions are known to be predisposing risk factors for AD. In several of these, initiation of glial-mediated inflammatory pathways as a mechanism of AD is getting a lot of attention. On the other hand, a biochemical marker for monitoring the onset and progression of the disease would be a valuable tool for disease management. Also such a marker might be used as an end point in clinical intervention protocols. This biochemical marker will have the potential for identifying subjects afflicted with the disease and possibly for monitoring the onset and longitudinal progression of the disease. Here we have reviewed the latest papers of different approaches to AD. Of course, there is a section of PET which is very useful clinically nowadays.

디지털 기술의 발전은 다양한 정보들과의 새로운 상호작용들을 창출하고 있고, 여기에서 인터페이스는 상호작용을 가능하게 하는 구체적인 장으로서, 우리가 정보들과 갖는 상호작용 방식을 규정한다. 그런데, 확장현실이나 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 같은 새로운 기술적인 흐름들은 우리의 물리적 공간에 디지털 정보라는 무형의 층위를 더함으로써, 현재의 손과 눈의 작용을 중심기반으로 하는 상호작용 방식들로부터 발전된 형태의 상호작용이 필요하게 될 것임을 시사하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 물리적 공간 안에서의 우리 자신을 형성하고, 세계를 인지하는 근간이 되는 신체에 초점을 맞추어, 신체가 새로운 정보 환경 속에서 정보의 인지 메커니즘과 상호작용의 주체로서 어떻게 기능할 수 있을 것인지를 메를로-퐁티의 현상학과 구현인지 이론을 바탕으로 탐구하고, 그 실질적인 예와 가능성들을 인터랙티브 아트 작품들에서 찾아본다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effective variables which influence family strengths. In particular, influencing variables were analyzed according to sex, generation, and family pattern. There were 703 participants aged over 20 years in Gwangju and Seoul. All participants completed a questionnaire and the data were analyzed using SPSS. The results were as follows: 1. The average scores of family strengths were higher than the median. Regarding subdimensions, 'value system sharing' had the lowest score. 2. Family strengths were related to its subdimension and some variables. 3. Family strengths were influenced by living condition, self-esteem, depression, the cognition of family function, and family value orientations. However, the influencing variables were different according to sex, generation, and family patterns. In conclusion, in order to improve family strengths, it is necessary to develop 'value system sharing', enhance self-esteem, and reduce depression. Further, when we deal with family strengths, it is necessary to vary methodology.
