The marine terraces often offer come important clues to understand the topographic development during the Quaternary and the present landforms in korea. We examined the mechanism of the marine terraces formation along the coast from Samjung-Ri(community), Guryongpo-Eup(county) to Haseo-Ri, Yangnam-Myun(county), Gyungju-Si(city). Among the various but unique factors of the given coastal environment, which should contribute to the marine terraces formation together, we focused on five possible factors for the present stydy. Geologic difference in bedrocks, protrusion degree of coastiline, topological relief of sea-bottom, fluvial characteristics on land, and pattern of the waves appeared to act cooperatibely on the terrace formation of Southeastem coast in korea, while the fluvial characteristics seemed play a significant but localized role in it. Wide distribution of middle surfaces on the coast of Samjungri-Janggilri could be due to the concentration of the high waves and the weakness of the Tertiary volcanic rocks. For the sporadic distribution of the terraces on the coast of Gupungri-Gyewonri, it seemed attributable to the erosion -susceptible weak bedrock, the coastline of inner bay, shallow sea-bottom with the gentle relief, and other fluvial characteristics with the low divides. Together with the geologic difference in bedrock, other factors including protrusion degree of coast, topological relief of sea-bottom, and the transportation loads by the stream Daejongchon are believed to act cooperatively on the mechanism of the marine terraces formation on the coast of Duwonri-Upchonri.
Landsat images were globally used to monitoring the Earth's. But it is not positively applied to a field of environment such as coastal environment, heat island effect and drought condition and so on. Until recently, Information about a ecology natural environment came to do by direct investigation. But Information about a ecology·natural environment of wide area were quickly getting possible with the progress of remote sensing technique. Specially, the up-to-date characteristic information about an ecology·natural environment as the basic intelligence for a country development activity are very important. So, it applies the satellite images that the periodic observation of data is possible. In this study, We planned the function which is possible helping the renewal of an ecology·natural environmental information using Landsat imagery. Also planned the DB suitable for these purpose. For application of thermal infrared band images we developed the function that extracts an isothermal line. It used the thermal infrared band images and it grasped a temperature distribution. The result is useful in analysis of the city heat island effectiveness.
Peroxidase activities and isozyme patte군 of the pine needles (Pinus densiflora) were examined and compared in the coastal regions of Anmyum-Do(Choongnam, Taean-Gun) and inland regions of Shinchang-Myun(Choongnam, Asan-City). The pine needle peroxidase from Anmyum-Do showed approximately three times higher specfic activity than Shinchang pine needle peroxidase. The pine needle extracts of Anmyun-Do and Shinchang contained three anionic isoperoxidases, named A1, A2 and A3, when subjected to starch gel electrophoresis at pH 7.0. Cjationic isoperoxidases could not be found in both extracts., However, there existed unique isoperoxidase An only from the extracts of Anmyun-Do pine needles under the salinary environment. Moreover, the specific activities of catalase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase from Anmyun-Do, known for the inducible enzymes under the stress condition, were about 1.8 times higher than those of Shinchang pine needles. However, the specific activities of other enzymes did not show great differences between the two regions. Considering the above results of the higher specific activity of peroxidase and the unique expression of isoperoxidase An, pine needle peroxidase might involve in the defence mechanism against the salinary stress of Anmyun-Do.

The purpose of this study is the impact of the typhoon damage to housing and facilities in rural areas. House of damage, as well as the only including damage of facilities in rural areas, particularly greenhouse(Glass greenhouse, Plastic greenhouse, Vinyl greenhouse) leads to damage of crops the scale of the damage increases. In this study, focused on Jeollabuk-do area, accompanying him, the number of gale damage and evaluate the extent of the damage to the typhoon. And aims to provide basic data for the rural areas of strong winds and typhoons preparedness and facility design based on the results. Judging from the results of the analysis of natural disasters caused by typhoons and strong winds, the city formed mainly in the area than in the plains or coastal rural areas compared to other areas more damage can appear. In recent years, many design maximum wind speed of 40m/s wind over because disaster type, even if the standard installation, preferably determined through a precise structural analysis to ensure the structural history of acting urgently.
In this study, characteristics and trends of tropical night (TN) are investigated by using the KMA 14 observation data for the recent 50 years (1958-2007) over South Korea. The TN is defined as a day with a daily minimum temperature exceeds the absolute threshold temperature ($25^{\circ}C$), and the relative deviation from normal temperature, 95th percentile of all observed daily minimum temperature. Although the spatial distribution of TN occurrence depends on the choice of the definitions, the frequency of TN shows strong spatial and interannual variations with the minimum at high land area (Chupungnyeong and wet years) and maximum at southern coastal area and large city area (Jeju, Busan, Seoul, Daegu). Most of TN occurs in August (56%) and July (41%), and the duration date of TN is proportional to the frequency of TN without regard to the definition method. In general, increasing trends are found in the TN time series without regard to the analysis method, but the trends are clearly depending on the analysis period and geographic locations. Decreasing trends are prominent during the most of analysis period, especially until the mid of 1990, whereas strong increasing trends are found during recent 30 years (1988-2007), especially at Jeju, Ulsan, Daegu and Pohang. Also the severity of TN is significantly increased in recent years.

Monitoring has been done for the shingle beach in Hagdong Beach in Geojesi, City during the seven month period. The shingle beach has been found to go through the cyclic change according to the tidal schedule. The typhoon Rusa in year 2002 affected whole beach face. Sea wall, constructed to protect the village along the beach, aggravates the situation, since it cut off the supply of shingle from the marine terrace, upon which village was built. Concrete walls along the streams also diminish the supply of shingles from the mountains. To protect the shingle beach and encourage the sustainable eco-tourism long-term monitoring on sediment budget is necessary.
Purpose - Considering the importance of housing needs to real estate market, domestic studies on real estate prices from the perspective of demand are basically based on macro-data, but relatively few are associated with micro-data of urban real estate demand. We try to find a reliable relation of elasticity of demand and commercial housing market. Research design, data, and methodology - In this paper, we have derived housing demand theoretic method and have utilized micro-data of residential family housing survey of downtown area in Kunming City in October, 2015 to estimate income elasticity and price elasticity of housing demand respectively and make a comparative analysis. Results - The results indicate that income elasticity and price elasticity of families with owner-occupied housing are both larger than those of families with rental housing. Income elasticity of housing demand of urban residential families in Kunming is far below the foreign average and eastern coastal cities level, however, the corresponding price elasticity is far higher. Conclusions - We suggest that housing affordability of urban families in western China are constrained by the level of economic development, and the current housing price level has exceeded the economic affordability and psychological expectation of ordinary residents. Furthermore, noticing the great rigidity of housing demand, the expansion space of housing market for improvement and for commodity is limited.
This paper introduces the probable regional and long distance trade of cotton goods among the pre-Hispanic Mesoamericans during the Classic (A.D. 200-900) period through the comparison of the available documentary sources. Based on the ethnohistoric data and the archaeological evidences it was found that cotton was used throughout the Mesoamerica by the elite ruling class. However, because cotton could not be grown at elevations above 6,000 feet it was obvious that nations such as Teotihuacan which flourished in the highland of present day Mexico City had to import cotton from the tropical coastal hotlands either through trade or tribute. Several ethnohistorical and archaeological data suggest that urban center in highland Mexico had people employed in weaving the textiles rather than cultivating or spinning cotton. Archaeological evidences such as the workshops used by the craft specialists seemed to be associated with weaving of cotton. Because of the similarity in climatic conditions for marine shells and cotton cultivation, Kolb's model seems to be applicable to the cotton trade of the classic Teotihuacan. Based on Kolb's model, it could be hypothesized that Teotihuacan-Kaminaljyyu-Maya was the indirect trade route connecting the Basin of Mexico and the Mayan regions.
This study was carried out estimating the dry deposition flux of $SO_2$at eight urban areas in Korea during one year of 1996. To calculate the deposition flux, deposition velocities were calculated by turbulence parameters estimated from routine meteorological data. Also, hourly averaged $SO_2$concentrations which calculated from air pollution monitoring data of each city were used. The dry deposition velocities were mostly higher in the coastal areas than the other areas, which would be caused by relatively strong wind. And, they were high in the daytime because of turbulence activities. The deposition flux of $SO_2$is mainly related to the atmospheric concentration. The annual average $SO_2$concentration and the deposition flux were 22.62ppb and 1510.52g/$\textrm{km}^2$/hr at Pusan respectively. Also, the flux was higher in winter than other season, which was a significant contribution of exhausted fuel for heating. While the deposition velocity was high to 0.688cm/sec at Yosu in case of strong wind and small cloud cover, the deposition flux was high to 1597.4g/$\textrm{km}^2$/hr at Pusan in case of weak wind and small cloud cover.

This paper is to investigate the change of the period of hot weather concrete with elapse of age based on climate data. Climate data for 30 years and 5 years are used respectively. Determination of the period of hot weather concreting on architectural execution in Korea according to the specifications of AIJ, KSCE, and ACI are discussed. According to the research, the period of hot weather concreting with each specification in most regions lasts over 35 days. Compared with the period of cold weather concreting in hillside and inland area, coastal areas have shorter period in the same latitude. The period of hot weather concreting tends to decrease with high latitude. As expected, with the elapse of age, the period of hot weather concrete exhibited to decrease, especially, big city like Seoul, Busan etc had remarkably increased period by as much as a week. This is due to the global warming and industrialization effect with the elapse of age.
