  • The transition metal carbonylate, PPN+(${\eta}^5-MeCp)Mn(CO)_2Cl^-$ undergoes a novel ligand substitution reaction with PR3 (R=Me, Et, OEt, $C_6H_5$ in THF at elevated temperatures (40 $^{\circ}C$ up to 60 $^{\circ}C)$ under the pseudo-first-order reaction conditions (usually 20-fold excess of PR3 with respect to metal carbonylate concentrations) where chloride is displaced by PR3. The reaction follows overall first order dependence on [(${\eta}^5-MeCp)Mn(CO)_2Cl^-$]; however, the negative entropy changes of activation (${\Delta}S^{\neq}$=-19.3 e.u. for $P(OEt)_3$; ${\Delta}S^{\neq}$=-16.4 e.u. for $PPh_3$) suggest the existence of the intermediate, ((η3-MeCp)Mn(CO)2(THF)Cl-, which eventually transforms to the product (${\eta}^5-MeCp)Mn(CO)_2(PR_3)$.

  • Microstructure and magnetic transport phenomina in rf sputtered AlN/Co type ten-layered discontinuous films of nanoscaled [AlN (3 nm)/Co (t nm)]...$\sub$10/ with t$\sub$Co/=1.0∼2.0 nm have been investigated. The microstructure and tunneling magnetic resistance of the samples are strongly dependent on the thickness of Co layer. Negative tunneling magneto-resistance due to the spin-dependent transport has been observed along the current-in-plane configuration in the samples having the Co layers below 1.6 nm thick. When the thickness of Co layer was less than 1,2 nm, randomly oriented granular Co particles were completely isolated and embedded in amorphous AlN matrix, and the films showed the superparamagnetic behavior with a high MR value of Δ$\rho$/$\rho$$\sub$0/=1.8 %. As t$\sub$Co/ increases, a transition from the regime of co-existence of superparamagnetic and ferromagnetic behaviors to ferromagnetic behavior was observed. Tunneling barrier called "decay length for tunneling" for the films having the thickness of Co layer from 1.4 to 1.6 nm was measured to be ranged from 0.004 to 0.021 ${\AA}$$\^$-1/.

  • This study reviewed corporate social responsibility activities of fashion companies and discussed strategies of social enterprises. The research was conducted on 6 Korean fashion companies with sales over KRW 1 trillion as of the end of the term in 2015. Corporate social responsibility activities of each company were investigated from economic, social and environmental viewpoints. The results of this study were as follows: First, each company promoted win-win growth, co-existence management, transparent management and ethics management through economic activities. They pursued win-win growth and co-existence management, which aimed to respect and grow with their partners. Also, they ensured transparent management and ethics management to show their moral management. Second, each company conducted various social contribution programs as part of their social activities. Through the programs, they made donations, supported welfare and culture, and practiced voluntary work, local activities, training and equal opportunities. Third, as for environmental activities, each company tried to protect nature through various activities such as donation to environmental organizations, environmental cleanup activities, environmental management from production to disposal, reuse, eco-friendly system, environmental volunteering, etc. Articles on fashion companies' social responsibility activities have an influence on boosting their attitude and image towards businesses.

  • Lamerin breed of the silkworm, Bombyx mori L. for Northeastern India hosts a vertically transmitted microsporidian parasite for generations, which does not harm significantly the cocoon production. The transversally infected progenies do not exhibit marked external sign or symptom. The microspordian causes inapparent infection and over $(80\%)$ of the infected progeny survives and spin cocoons. There is possibility of co-existence between the breed and the associated micosporidian parasite. To evaluate the impact of the microsporidian on breed the present study was conducted in respect of tranovarial transmitted (observed as T1), secondarily infected (observed as T2) and healthy silkworm (observed as T3). The larval and pupal mortality was $12\%$ and $6\%$ in T1 and $10\%$ and $3\%$ in T2 batch, while in case of T3 batch there was no mortality. Significant changes were also observed in single cocoon weight, single shell weight, denier, reelibility, raw silk recovery $\%$ and neetness. There is no significant impact of the infection on the fecundity and hatchability. The hatchability of the eggs laid by healthy or infected moths are equall as much as control but the progeny had the infection transmitted from the parent.

  • The incidence of condylar fractures is high, but the management of fractures of the mandibular condyle continues to be controversial. Historically, maxillomandibular fixation, external fixation, and surgical splints with internal fixation systems were the techniques commonly used in the treatment of the fractured mandible. Condylar fractures can be extracapsular or intracapsular, undisplaced, deviated, displaced, or dislocated. Treatment depends on the age of the patient, the co-existence of other mandibular or maxillary fractures, whether the condylar fracture is unilateral or bilateral, the level and displacement of the fracture, the state of dentition and dental occlusion, and the surgeonnds on the age of the patient, the co-existence of othefrom which it is difficult to recover aesthetically and functionally;an appropriate treatment is required to reconstruct the shape and achieve the function ofthe uninjured status. To do this, accurate diagnosis, appropriate reduction and rigid fixation, and complication prevention are required. In particular, as mandibular condyle fracture may cause long-term complications such as malocclusion, particularly open bite, reduced posterior facial height, and facial asymmetry in addition to chronic pain and mobility limitation, great caution should be taken. Accordingly, the authors review a general overview of condyle fracture.
