Recent developments in robotics and intelligent vehicle area, bring interests of people in an autonomous driving ability and advanced driving assistance system. Especially fully automatic parking ability is one of the key issues of intelligent vehicles, and accurate parked vehicles detection is essential for this issue. In previous researches, many types of sensors are used for detecting vehicles, 2D LiDAR is popular since it offers accurate range information without preprocessing. The L shape feature is most popular 2D feature for vehicle detection, however it has an ambiguity on different objects such as building, bushes and this occurs misdetection problem. Therefore we propose the accurate vehicle detection method by using a 3D complete vehicle model in 3D point clouds acquired from front inclined 2D LiDAR. The proposed method is decomposed into two steps: vehicle candidate extraction, vehicle detection. By combination of L shape feature and point clouds segmentation, we extract the objects which are highly related to vehicles and apply 3D model to detect vehicles accurately. The method guarantees high detection performance and gives plentiful information for autonomous parking. To evaluate the method, we use various parking situation in complex urban scene data. Experimental results shows the qualitative and quantitative performance efficiently.
We observed the thermal transitions of SiO (J=I-0, 2-1) and $^{29}SiO$ (J=l-O) toward the Sgr A molecular clouds. The distribution and the velocity structure of SiO are very similar to previous results for 'quiet' interstellar molecules. We think· that the SiO has been well mixed with other molecules such as $H_2$ which may indicate that the formation of Sgr A molecular clouds was affected by the activities, such as shock waves or energetic photons, from the Galactic center in large scales. The total column density of SiO is about $4.1\times10^{14} cm^{-2}$ and the fractional abundance $SiO/H_2$ appears to be about 10 times larger than those of other clouds in the central region of our galaxy. The derived values are thought to be lower limits since the optical depths of the observed SiO lines are not very thin. The formation of SiO has been known to be critically related to shocks, and our results provide informative data on the environment of our Galactic center.

We have investigated the properties of the high-latitude cloud MBM 7 using the 3 mm transitions of CO, CS, HCN, $HCO^+,\;C_3H_2,\;N_2H^+$, and SiO. The molecular component of MBM 7 shows a very clumpy structure with a size of $\le$0.5 pc, elongated along the northwest-southeast direction, perpendicularly to an extended HI component, which could be resulted from shock formation. We have derived physical properties for two molecular cores in the central region. Their sizes are 0.1-0.3 pc and masses 1-2 M$\bigodot$ having an average volume density $\~2{\times}10^3 cm^{-3}$ at the peak of molecular emission. We have tested the stability of the cores using the full version of the virial theorem and found that the cores are stabilized with ambient medium, and they are expected not to be dissipated easily without external perturbations. Therefore MBM 7 does not seem to be a site for new star formation. The molecular abundances in the densest core appear to be much less (by about one order of magnitude) than the 'general' dark cloud values. If the depletions of heavy elements are not significant in the HLCs compared with those in typical dark clouds, our results may suggest different chemical evolutionary stages or different chemical environments of the HLCs compared with dense dark clouds in the Galactic plane.

We have mapped $17 deg^2$ region toward Galactic anticenter in $^{12}CO$ J = 1 - 0 using the 3 mm SIS receiver on the 14 m telescope at Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory (TRAO). The region mapped in this paper is the first target of the Galactic AntiCenter CO Survey Project (GACCOS) and was selected comparing with IRAS Sky Survey Atlas (ISSA) images at 100${\mu}m$. Molecular emission of the target area is found to be very extended and is well matching with the FIR emission boundary. There are several pieces of clouds, and as some of spectra show several peaks, there seem to be several clouds overlapped in some directions. The Velocity of Local Standard of Rest ($V_{LSR}$) of the CO emission of the mapped region ranges from -20 to +10 km/s. It is also found that the two cloudlets located around I = $180^{\circ}$ have $V_{LSR}$ = -20 km/s, which is very abnormal. The peak antenna temperature of 13 K arises near the H II Region S241.
Visible channel calibration method using deep convective clouds (DCCs) is developed. The method has advantages that visible radiance is not sensitive to cloud optical thickness (COT) for deep convective clouds because visible radiance no longer increases when COT exceeds 100. Therefore, once DCCs are chosen appropriately, and then cloud optical properties can be assumed without operational ancillary data for the specification of cloud conditions in radiative transfer model. In this study, it is investigated whether IR measurements can be used for the selection of DCC targets. To construct appropriate threshold value for the selection of DCCs, the statistics of cloud optical properties are collected with MODIS measurements. When MODIS brightness temperature (TB) at 11 ${\mu}$ m is restricted to be less than 190 K, it is shown that more than 85% of selected pixels show COT ${\geq}$ 100. Moreover, effective radius ($r_e$) distribution shows a sharp peak around 20 ${\mu}m$. Based on those MODIS observations, cloud optical properties are assumed as COT = 200 and $r_e$ = 20 ${\mu}m$ for the simulation of MODIS visible (0.646 ${\mu}m$) band radiances over DCC targets.
We have calculated 2448 interstellar cloud models to investigate the formation and destruction of high rotational level $H_2$ according to the combinations of five physical conditions: the input UV intensity, the $H_2$ column density, cloud temperature, total density, and the $H_2$ formation rate efficiency. The models include the populations of all the accessible states of $H_2$ with the rotational quantum number J < 16 as a function of depth through the model clouds, and assume that the abundance of $H_2$ is in a steady state governed primarily by the rate of formation on the grain surfaces and the rates of destruction by spontaneous fluorescent dissociation following absorption in the Lyman and Werner band systems. The high rotational levels J = 4 and J = 5 are both populated by direct formation into these levels of newly created molecules, and by pumping from J = 0 and J = 1, respectively The model results show that the high rotational level ratio N(4)/N(0) is proportional to the incident UV intensity, and is inversely proportional to the $H_2$ molecular fraction, as predicted in theory.
The numerical simulations associated with the interaction of High Velocity Clouds (HVC) with the Magnetized Galactic Interstellar Medium (ISM) are a powerful tool to describe the evolution of the interaction of these objects in our Galaxy. In this work we present a new project referred to as Theoretical Virtual i Observatories. It is oriented toward to perform numerical simulations in real time through a Web page. This is a powerful astrophysical computational tool that consists of an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) and a database produced by numerical calculations. In this Website the user can make use of the existing numerical simulations from the database or run a new simulation introducing initial conditions such as temperatures, densities, velocities, and magnetic field intensities for both the ISM and HVC. The prototype is programmed using Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP (LAMP), based on the open source philosophy. All simulations were performed with the MHD code ZEUS-3D, which solves the ideal MHD equations by finite differences on a fixed Eulerian mesh. Finally, we present typical results that can be obtained with this tool.
A survey project of TRAO with the fifteen beam array receiver system is presented. A multibeam array receiver system has been purchased from FCRAO, and is being installed on TRAO 14m telescope. The target region of the survey is from ${\iota}=120^{\circ}{\sim}137^{\circ},\;b=-1^{\circ}{\sim}+ 1^{\circ}$, and velocity resolution would be 1 km/sec after smoothing from the original resolution of $0.64km\;s^{-1}$ in the transition of J = 1-0 of $^{13}CO$. The survey region is a part of the $^{12}CO$ Outer Galaxy Survey(OGS), and would be an extension of the Bell Laboratories $^{13}CO$ Galactic Plane Survey. By combining with the existing $^{12}CO$ database of the Outer Galaxy Survey, we will derive physical properties of identified molecular clouds and will conduct and statistical analysis of the Outer Galalxy molecular clouds. Reduction process and analysis methods will be introduced.

In big data age, flexible and affordable cloud storage service greatly enhances productivity for enterprises and individuals, but spontaneously has their outsourced data susceptible to integrity breaches. Provable Data Possession (PDP) as a critical technology, could enable data owners to efficiently verify cloud data integrity, without downloading entire copy. To address challenging integrity problem on multiple clouds for multiple owners, an identity-based batch PDP scheme was presented in ProvSec 2016, which attempted to eliminate public key certificate management issue and reduce computation overheads in a secure and batch method. In this paper, we firstly demonstrate this scheme is insecure so that any clouds who have outsourced data deleted or modified, could efficiently pass integrity verification, simply by utilizing two arbitrary block-tag pairs of one data owner. Specifically, malicious clouds are able to fabricate integrity proofs by 1) universally forging valid tags and 2) recovering data owners' private keys. Secondly, to enhance the security, we propose an improved scheme to withstand these attacks, and prove its security with CDH assumption under random oracle model. Finally, based on simulations and overheads analysis, our batch scheme demonstrates better efficiency compared to an identity based multi-cloud PDP with single owner effort.
Existing but largely unused binary star model capabilities are examined. An easily implemented scheme is parameterization of starspot growth and decay that can stimulate work on outer convection zones and their dynamos. Improved precision in spot computation now enhances analysis of very precise data. An existing computational model for blended spectral line profiles is accurate for binary system effects but needs to include damping, thermal Doppler, and other intrinsic broadening effects. Binary star ephemerides had been found exclusively from eclipse timings until recently, but now come also from whole light and radial velocity curves. A logical further development will be to expand these whole curve solutions to include eclipse timings. An attenuation model for circumstellar clouds, with several absorption and scattering mechanisms, has been applied only once, perhaps because the model clouds have fixed locations. However the clouds could be made to move dynamically and be combined into moving streams and disks. An area of potential interest is polarization curve analysis, where incentive for modeling could follow from publication of observed polarization curves. Other recent advances include direct single step solutions for temperatures of both stars of an eclipsing binary and third body kinematics from combined light and velocity curves.
