Fog computing has become a popular concept in the application of internet of things (IoT). With the superiority in better service providing, the edge cloud has become an attractive solution to IoT networks. The data outsourcing scheme of IoT devices demands privacy protection as well as computation verification since the lightweight devices not only outsource their data but also their computation. Existing solutions mainly deal with the operations over encrypted data, but cannot support the computation verification in the same time. In this paper, we propose a data outsourcing scheme based on an encrypted database system with linear computation as well as efficient query ability, and enhance the interlayer program in the original system with homomorphic message authenticators so that the system could perform computational verifying. The tools we use to construct our scheme have been proven secure and valid. With our scheme, the system could check if the cloud provides the correct service as the system asks. The experiment also shows that our scheme could be as effective as the original version, and the extra load in time is neglectable.

Radio base stations, which are widely distributed across large areas, have many difficulties in managing them. Unmanned radio base stations in remote mountains are having a hard time accessing them in case of emergencies. Major telephone service providers only remotely control incoming and outgoing information and local small business partners responsible for maintaining actual facilities do not possess such technologies, so they are each checked during field visits. In this study, in order to monitor temperature, humidity, fire condition, and power operation at a wide range of radio base stations, real-time monitoring is carried out at the office of Klaus server through real-time monitoring.

An Internet of Things(IoT) technology which provides intelligent services by combining context-awareness based intelligences, inter-communication is made of between things and things or between things and person through the network connected with intelligent things is spreading rapidly. Especially as this technology is converged into smart device, mobile, cloud, big data technologies, it is applied into various domains. Therefore, this is different from existing Web or Mobile Application. New types of IoT applications are emerging by adapting IoT into Web or mobile. Because IoT application is not only focused on software but also considering hardware or things aspect, there are limitations existing development process. Existing development processes don't consider analysis and design techniques considering both hardware and things. We propose not only a meta-model for development process which can support IoT application's development but also meta-models for main activities in this paper. Especially we define modeling elements by using UML's extension mechanisms, provide development process, and suggest design techniques how to apply those elements into IoT application's modeling phase. Because there are many types of IoT application's type, we propose an Android and Arduino-based on IoT application as a case study. We expect that proposed technique can be applied into many of various IoT application development and design with a form of flexible and extensible as well as main functionalities or elements are more concretely described. As a result, it brings IoT application's flexibility and the effect of quality improvement.

Smart Cities intelligently manage numerous infrastructures, including Smart-City IoT devices, and provide a variety of smart-city applications to citizen. In order to provide various information needed for smart-city applications, Smart Cities require a function to intelligently process large-scale streamed big data that are constantly generated from a large number of IoT devices. To provide smart services in Smart-City, the Smart-City Consortium uses stream reasoning. Our stream reasoning requires real-time processing of big data. However, there are limitations associated with real-time processing of large-scale streamed big data in Smart Cities. In this paper, we introduce one of our researches on cloud computing based real-time distributed-parallel-processing to be used in stream-reasoning of IoT big data in Smart Cities. The Smart-City Consortium introduced its previously developed smart-city middleware. In the research for this paper, we made cloud computing based real-time distributed-parallel-processing available in the cloud computing platform of the smart-city middleware developed in the previous research, so that we can perform real-time distributed-parallel-processing with them. This paper introduces a real-time distributed-parallel-processing method and system for stream reasoning with IoT big data transmitted from various sensors of Smart Cities and evaluate the performance of real-time distributed-parallel-processing of the system where the method is implemented.

With the rapid growth of the up-to-date wireless network and Internet technologies, huge and various types of things around us are connected to the Internet and build the hyper-connected society, and lots of smart applications using these technologies are actively developed recently. IoT connects human, things, space, and data with various types of networks to construct the hyper-connected network that can create, collect, share and appling realtime information. Furthermore, most of the smart applications are concentrated on the service that can collect and store realtime contexts using various sensors and cloud technology, and provide intelligence by making inferences and decisions from them nowadays. In this paper, we design a smart application that can accurately control and process the current state of the specific context in realtime by using the state-of-the-art ICT techniques such as various sensors and cloud technologies on the IoT based mobile computing environment.
This paper proposes a new real-time fire monitoring and evacuation navigation system by integrating Augmented Reality (AR) technology with Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The proposed system collects temperature data through IoT temperature measurement devices installed in buildings and automatically transmits it to a MySQL cloud database via an IoT platform, enabling real-time and accurate data monitoring. Subsequently, the real-time IoT data is visualized on a 3D building model generated through Building Information Modeling (BIM), and the model is represented in the real world using AR technology, allowing intuitive identification of the fire origin. Furthermore, by utilizing Vuforia engine's Device Tracking and Area Targets features, the system tracks the user's real-time location and employs an enhanced A* algorithm to find the optimal evacuation route among multiple exits. The paper evaluates the proposed system's practicality and demonstrates its effectiveness in rapid and safe evacuation through user experiments based on various virtual fire scenarios.

The Internet of things (IoT) is the main advancement in data processing and communication technologies. In IoT, intelligent devices play an exciting role in wireless communication. Although, sensor nodes are low-cost devices for communication and data gathering. However, sensor nodes are more vulnerable to different security threats because these nodes have continuous access to the internet. Therefore, the multiparty security credential-based key generation mechanism provides effective security against several attacks. The key generation-based methods are implemented at sensor nodes, edge nodes, and also at server nodes for secure communication. The main challenging issue in a collaborative key generation scheme is the extensive multiplication. When the number of parties increased the multiplications are more complex. Thus, the computational cost of batch key and multiparty key-based schemes is high. This paper presents a Secure Multipart Key Distribution scheme (SMKD) that provides secure communication among the nodes by generating a multiparty secure key for communication. In this paper, we provide node authentication and session key generation mechanism among mobile nodes, head nodes, and trusted servers. We analyzed the achievements of the SMKD scheme against SPPDA, PPDAS, and PFDA schemes. Thus, the simulation environment is established by employing an NS 2. Simulation results prove that the performance of SMKD is better in terms of communication cost, computational cost, and energy consumption.

Nowadays, the Internet of Things (IoT) network, is increasingly becoming a ubiquitous connectivity between different advanced applications such as smart cities, smart homes, smart grids, and many others. The emerging network of smart devices and objects enables people to make smart decisions through machine to machine (M2M) communication. Most real-world security and IoT-related challenges are vulnerable to various attacks that pose numerous security and privacy challenges. Therefore, IoT offers efficient and effective solutions. intrusion detection system (IDS) is a solution to address security and privacy challenges with detecting different IoT attacks. To develop an attack detection and a stable network, this paper's main objective is to provide a comprehensive overview of existing intrusion detections system for IoT environment, cyber-security threats challenges, and transparent problems and concerns are analyzed and discussed. In this paper, we propose software-defined IDS based distributed cloud architecture, that provides a secure IoT environment. Experimental evaluation of proposed architecture shows that it has better detection and accuracy than traditional methods.
