  • Internet communications have provoked new forms of online word-of-mouth(WOM) communication and it has become more powerful. At this point, this study analyses the effects of information characteristics(direction, consensus) of online WOM. Especially, quasi-experiment can systematically manipulate the direction and the consensus of online WOM information and it perceived the difference in the effects in this study. Female consumers who have purchased clothing at online shopping mall in past 6 months participated in the experiment by completing 4 type questionnaires(N=600). Data are analyzed using Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, one way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test. The Results of this study are as follows: (1) The direction of online WOM information significantly influences consumer's reliability of information, attitude, and purchase intentions. These effects are more significant when negative WOM information than positive information and two-sided information was given. (2) Though there is the difference in reliability of information, the consensus of online WOM information does not have influences on consumer's attitude and purchase intentions. (3) Consumer's clothing involvement is related to WOM information searching. The highly involved consumer is more effected by online WOM information than the lowly one.

Entertainment had the greatest influence on satisfaction, and providing information and interactivity followed. Second, satisfaction for fashion brand SNS influenced positively on trust and commitment. Also, trust to fashion brand SNS demonstrated a positive influence on commitment. Third, trust and commitment on fashion brand SNS both influenced positively on purchase intention. Fourth, the fashion involvement groups showed differences in fashion brand SNS characteristics, relationship quality, and purchase intention. The high involvement group showed much higher results in all aspects then did the low involvement group. • Virtual Reality (VR) represents a key technology for future shopping platforms. This study examined the effect of vividness and interactivity, the two technological characteristics of VR, and fashion involvement, a consumer characteristic, on a consumer's intent to use VR stores under the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study explained consumers' belief in a new technology and the process underlying the use behavior. The survey was conducted on 200 people between the ages of 20s and 30s via an online survey firm. Data are analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The results showed that a greater level of perceived vividness had a positive effect on ease of use and playfulness, while perceived interactivity had a significant impact on usefulness and playfulness. The findings also indicated that consumers with a high degree of fashion involvement tend to perceive a higher level of playfulness through VR shopping. Regarding the effects of consumer beliefs, perceived ease of use had a positive influence on usefulness perception. A higher level of perceived usefulness and playfulness meant a higher consumer intention to adopt a VR shopping platform.

  • In this study, we tried to understand preschooler clothing trends and identify the purchase behaviors of various consumers, such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents, who are the main consumers of the preschooler clothing market. We conducted in-depth interviews with consumers who were interested in preschooler clothing, purchased it frequently, and bought preschooler clothing within the last three months. Their purchase motivations and purchase behaviors were analyzed through exploratory and inductive analysis. The analysis was conducted by integrating categories into one process centered on core categories through open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results of this study included that 1) a variety of clothing purchase behaviors appeared as a central phenomenon, 2) the causal conditions that contributed to this phenomenon were the buyers' childcare experiences, purchase experiences, the personal consumption values of individuals, and income levels, 3) in response to the central phenomenon, the parents' action/interaction strategies were acceptance and rejection of purchased clothing, 4) contextual and Intervening conditions affecting action/interaction strategy were family environment changes, the VIB (Very Important Baby) phenomenon, parents' clothing involvement, and the relationship with the buyers, and acceptance by the users, and 5) as a result of the strategy expressed as acceptance and rejection, various clothing behaviors emerged. In this study, we identified that there are various influencers, apart from parents, involved in children's clothing consumption. Therefore, we need to keep in mind that various purchase behaviors and clothing trends that appear during one's childhood may affect the individual's clothing behavior in the future.

  • The main purpose of this study was to determine the influence of brand and country-of-origin on consumers' perception of apparel products. $2\times2$ between subjects factorial design with brand (no brand vs. prestigious brand) and country-of-origin (Italy vs. Korea) was used. Consumer ethnocentrism and product involvement were included as covariates in analyzing the data. The stimuus was a double-breasted v-neckline beige jacket. All the labels were removed and a label indicating one of the four brand/country-of-origin conditions was attached. The participants' perception of the jacket was measured in terms of product attitude, product evaluation, purchase intention and expected price. A total of 205 housewives participated in the field experiments conducted in front of four moi or department stores in Seoul, and 202 responses were used in the final analysis. There was no significant difference in product attitude, product evaluation and purchase intention according to brand or country-of-origin. But brand, country-of-origin and the interaction between the variables were significant in explaining the differences in expected price. Consumer ethnocentrism was significant in all the models, while product involvement was significant only in the case of product evaluation. The relationships among demographic variables, consumer ethnocentrism and product involvement were also examined.

  • The Korean and the American consumers's attitude toward globalization were compared in the context of cultural values. This study exclusively investigated the effect of traditional versus non-traditional values and the mediating role of fashion involvement. The study sample consists of American and Korean female college students. It was affirmed that long supported categorization of individualism for Western culture and collectivism for Asian or Eastern culture does not seem to characterize the postmodern generation. No major differences between Korea and the U. S. were found in the empirical study except that Americans showed higher levels of cultural values and Koreans associate fashion involvement with global-mindedness more strongly. The impact of cultural values was similar across cultures but the mediating role of fashion involvement was dissimilar depending on the cultural backgrounds of respondents.
