Given a topological space X and a non-negative integer k, we study the self-homotopy equivalences of X that do not change maps from X to n-sphere $S^n$ homotopically by the composition for all $n{\geq}k$. We denote by ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ the set of all homotopy classes of such self-homotopy equivalences. This set is a dual concept of ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$, which has been studied by several authors. We prove that if X is a finite CW complex, there are at most a finite number of distinguishing homotopy classes ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$, whereas ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ may not be finite. Moreover, we obtain concrete computations of ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ to show that the cardinal of ${\varepsilon}^{\sharp}_k(X)$ is finite when X is either a Moore space or co-Moore space by using the self-closeness numbers.

For efficient calculation of natural modes of structures, a numerical scheme which accelerates convergence of the subspace iteration method by employing accelerated starting Lanczos vectors was proposed in 2005. This paper is an extension of the study. The previous study simply showed feasibility of the proposed method by analyzing structures with smaller degrees of freedom. While, the present study verifies efficiency of the proposed method more rigorously by comparing closeness of conventional and accelerated starting vectors to genuine eigenvectors. This study also analyzes an example structure with larger degrees of freedom and more complex constraints in order to investigate applicability of the proposed method.

This paper discusses a reasoning model of information retrieval with a hierarchical thesaurus.The model computes the conceptual distance between a query and an object,both are indexed with weighted terms from a hierarchical thesaurus. The proposed model allows Boolean operators for user queries and edge weights for a hierarchical thesaurus. Experimental results have shown that the proposed model simulates, with surprising accuracy, people in the assessment of conceptual closeness between queries objects.

Customer satisfaction dominates research on customer-firm performance relationships; however, with a few exceptions, the authors of most prior studies did not examine the possibility that an organizations' customer relationship management can increase its knowledge management. Building on previous literature of information processing theory and transaction cost perspective, this paper investigates the effect of various characteristics of customer relationship an organization cultivates on its own innovativeness. Specifically, we identify closeness, communication, sympathy as three critical components of managing customer relationship. Data from a multi-informant survey conducted to 442 organizations in Korean bank industry show that an organization's relationship with its customers has significant effects on its innovativeness. This study highlights the importance of customer relationship in terms of enhancing innovations, and helps to explain interactive effects among customer relationship, organizational learning, and innovativeness.

A rapid Prototyping system that laser-cuts and laminates thick layers can fabricate 3D objects promptly with a variety of materials. Building such a system must consider the surface distortions due to both vertical-cut layers and triangular surfaces. We developed a tangential layer-cutting algorithm by rearranging tangential lines such that they reconstruct 3D surfaces more closely and also constitute smoother laser trajectories. An energy function that reflects the surface-closeness with the tangential lines was formulated and then the energy was minimized by a gradient descent method. Since this simple method tends to cause many local minima for complex 3D objects, we tried to solve this problem by adding a simulated annealing process to the proposed method. To view and manipulate 3D objects, we also implemented a 3D visual environment. Under this environment, experiments on various 3D objects showed that our algorithm effectively approximates 3D surfaces and makes laser-trajectory feasibly smooth.

인간관계 유지와 새로운 관계 형성을 지원하는 다양한 소셜 네트워크가 각광을 받으면서 사용자간 친밀도 분석에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. SNS에서 구성되는 사용자 개인 정보와 컨텐츠 공유 및 기타 활동에 대한 정보는 사용자의 특징을 파악할 수 있는 유용한 정보가 된다. 이러한 정보는 추천과 같은 여러 가지 서비스에서 사용될 수 있으며, 특히 사용자간 친밀도 분석을 통한 친구 추천에서 유용하게 사용된다. 기존 친밀도 분석 연구에서는 사용자간 프로필 유사도와 메시지 교환수 같은 양적 정보를 사용해 왔다. 본 논문에서는 사용자간 대화 내용을 분석한 내용적 정보를 친밀도 분석에 반영하기 위한 방법을 제안한다. 학습 데이터를 활용하여 구축된 친밀도 분별 시스템에서는 감탄사, 종결어미, 선어말어미, 이모티콘, 문장 길이의 내용적 자질 정보의 사용으로 기존 양적 정보 사용과 유사한 수준의 친밀도 분별 성능을 얻을 수 있었으며, 양적 정보와 내용적 정보를 동시 사용한 경우 소폭의 성능 향상을 얻었다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences between Mathura and gandhara Buddha's costume, and to observe the types and unique style of Mathura Buddha's costume. I classified all types of Mathura Buddha's costume by and largely and researched the feature of each type and creases of costume with the focus criterion works of that. The results are followed ① dress method of pt on left shoulder ; The early years ·a statue of standing : It is traced back to kaniska 2, 3 years before ·a seated figure : It is traced back to the latter of ksatraka period than a statue of standing The expression of costume creases is a way of expressing pure Indolike of mathura peculity ② dress method of put on right and left shoulder : the latter years It can be said that there is closeness with Gandhara Buddha's costume in method of creases. Mathura is center of Buddha's statue and influences to Gandhara with each other. Also mathura has developed peculiarly and at last Mathura made the masterpiece of Buddha's statue of Gupta period to acme of the 5 century.

This paper present a conceptual possibilistic approach using fuzzy set theory to manage the uncertainties in the given reliability input date of the practical power system. In this paper, an algorithm is introduced to calculate the possibilstic reliability indices according to the degree of uncertainty in the given data. The probability distribution function can be transformed into an appropriate possibilstic representation using the probability-Possibility Consistency principle(PPCP) algorithm. In this the algorithm, the transformation is performation by making a compromise between the transformation consistency and the human updating experience. Fuzzy classifcation theory is applied to reduced the number of load data. The fuzzy classification method determines the closeness of load data points by assigning them to various clusters and then determening the distance between the clusters. The IEEE-RTS with 32-generating units is used to demonstrate the capability of the proposed algorithm.

This paper aims to reach the perceptions, ideas and intentions of the higher education adolescences on the effects of technological innovations over interrelation/communication between individuals. While advances in technology commonly works for the welfare and benefit of humankind, paradoxically in some instances could have negative outcomes on interrelations among individuals, minimizing face-to-face communication. The perceptions, so ideas of the individuals on the matter could differ depending on their age, gender, race and the culture beyond their relative intimacy and closeness to ICT tools. In order to penetrate the basic initiatives leading the perceptions of adolescents on the effects of technological improvements on human interrelations/ communication, a survey is conducted with 157 students in high education consisting of Asian, African, Cypriot, Turkish nationals. Results indicate that participants use technological tools for communication which lessens their face-to-face interaction. However they prefer social media more than face-to-face communication during conflict or undesirable situations.
