  • There are recently a lot of inconvenience because every client should be set to the proxy server on the browser in order to control the access by means of the client authentication in the proxy server. The client authentication technology using the transparency cache in this paper will be transparently used for every user in the internet which option of the authentication function is simply set in the cache server. In addition, the administrator will get the benefit since he can control the traffic of each client and strengthen the security. And also, this system is expected to use in the eCRM deeply rotated to the tendency of the client in the field of the e-commerce like shopping mall in the internet since the administrator can monitor the pattern of the client using the internet. This technique can be applied to the company affiliated research center, the EC website, and the military where it is essential for the tight security even though there are no additional security devices.

  • In this paper, we proposed and designed a novel SNA protocol which operates in the way of a server and a client in the power control system. The proposed SNA protocol includes the information about the mode switching, the saving position of context information, the user trigger, and so forth, which are needed in the power management devices. We consider the application of the SNA protocol to the home network, where message flows between the SNA server and the SNA client. To verify the operation of the SNA protocol, the state transition diagrams of the server in the home gateway and the client in the network device are shown. Hence, we can conclude the SNA can operate without malfuction.

Building IEC 61850 SCADA system based on TETRA (TETRA 기반 IEC 61850 SCADA 시스템 구축)

  • TETRA(TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) is the wireless communication system generally adopted to public network and backbone network, as the technology of Trunked Radio System specified by ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institute) and currently adopted to the Electric Power IT Backbone Network in Korea. IEC 61850 is the protocol proposed for SAS(Substation Automation System) of SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system. In this paper, IEC 61850 Server and Client simulator are used based on Linux operating system. The multi-functional gateway, which transforms the communication based on TCP/IP between IEC 61850 Server Simulator and Client Simulator to the one based on TETRA Packet Data Service, is developed such that IEC 61850 SCADA system is constructed based on TETRA.

  • This paper describes a design and implementation of diabetes management system based on PDA in the wireless Internet. Our system is a 3-Tier Client/Server model with client, server, middleware, and DB. The client has each PDA for patients and for doctors related to diabetics. The one is used for patients to manage this disease by themselves with, and the other is used for the doctors to monitoring the patients' data with. The server receive the daily data measured by the patients through wireless network, middleware mediate between an client(PDA) and server. As the result of implementation of the system, we expected that it manages to diabetic patients continually and systematically.

  • 인터넷 및 네트워크 환경의 비약적인 발전으로 기업체의 모든 기반 Application은 사용의 편리함과 시스템 및 데이터관리의 용이성 때문에 웹 기반모델로 변경되어 사용되고 있다. 그러나, 산업현장설비를 실시간 원격제어 감시하는 시스템인 SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)는 웹의 여러 한계성 때문에 아직까지 기존 Client-Server 모델로 대부분 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 웹의 한계성 중 Client 시스템의 실시간 통신 방식 및 속도, 부하 등을 기존 Client-Server 방식과 동일한 성능을 갖도록 설계 구현하여 적용하고 성능을 평가 하였다.

  • TETRA(TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) is wireless communication system generally adopted to public network and backbone network, as the technology of Trunked Radio System specified by ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institute) and currently adopted to the Electric Power IT Backbone Network in Korea. DLMS(Device Language Message Specification) is used in order to meter an electric measuring instrument value. In this paper, DLMS Server and Client simulator are used based on Window operating system. The multi-functional gateway, which transforms the communications based on RS-232C between DLMS Server Simulator and Client Simulator to the one based on TETRA PEI(Peripheral Equipment Interface), is developed such that DLMS SCADA(Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) system is constructed based on TETRA.

Interoperability of Spatial Data through Open Web Map Server

  • Over the past few years, a number of studies have been made on web map services, which enable the GIS user to access spatial data through the web. They, however, have focused on only implementation techniques separately, such as map client implementation, map server implementation, communication between client and server, and the map data representation. Therefore, it is hard to share and practical use the spatial data, because they does not ensure interoperability in heterogeneous map servers. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the web map server with open architecture, which complies with the standard interfaces proposed by OpenGIS Consortium (OGC). In particular, we have extended the OGC’s interfaces for a map server to support one or more data sources. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of web map services by newly proposing the method of implementation of a map server, which could be reused regardless of the types of data sources.

  • In this paper, we have presented the implementation plan for the Server interface and how to implement the Client GUI interface of a form you can use Android considerations and ERP Interface methods available in mobile devices, with iOS. It provides in the form of Web services using TCP / IP, how to handle the data, communication of Client and Server in mobile devices, coordination of ERP that can be used in mobile devices by presenting how to send in XML format it presented a new method which can be performed more efficiently.

  • Recently, interest in game streaming is high in cloud-based gaming. In game streaming, remote game servers perform graphics rendering and stream the resulting scene images to clients' device on the Internet. We model the client-server allocation (CSA) problem for balancing the GPU load between servers in a game streaming environment as an optimization problem, and propose a simulated annealing-based method. The features of our method are that the method takes into account the constraints on network delay and has the ability to automatically adjust the frame rate of game sessions if necessary.

Increasing a Mobile Client's Cache Reusability in Wireless Client - Server Environments (무선 클라이언트-서버 환경에서 이동 클라이언트의 캐시 데이타 재사용율 향상기법)

  • In a wireless client server environment, data broadcasting is an efficient data dissemination method; a server broadcasts data, and some of broadcasted data are cached in a mobile client's cache to save the narrow communication bandwidth, limited resources, and data access time. A server also broadcasts invalidation reports to maintain the consistency between server data and a client's cached data. Most of existing works on the cache consistency problems simply purge the entire cache when the disconnection time is long enough to miss the certain amount(window size) of IRs. This paper presents a cache invalidation method to increase mobile clients' cache reusability in case of a long disconnection. Instead of simply dropping the entire cache regardless of its consistency, a client estimates the cost of purging all the data with the cost of selective purge. If the cost of dropping entire cache is higher, a client maintains the cache and selectively purge inconsistent data using uplink bandwidth for validation request. The simulation results show that this scheme increases the cache reusability since it effectively considers the update rates and the broadcast frequencies of cached data in estimating the cost of cache maintenance.
