지하철 공기청정을 위한 2유체노즐형 자동세정 공기청정 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (Performance Evaluation of Automatic Self-Cleaning Filter System using Twin-Fluid Nozzles for Air Cleaning in the Subway Stations)

  • The removal of the dusts in the subway stations, tunnels, factories and buildings becomes issue for comfortable indoor and outdoor conditions. There has been used an automatic self-cleaning filter system to collect the dusts. In general, the collected particles are removed by water spray nozzles. The new design for improving the cleaning efficiency of collected dusts and reducing the supplied water is the concept of the plane array of demister filters and the twin-fluid nozzle for mixing compressed air and water in the automatic self-cleaning filter system. Results show that the cleaning efficiency of twin-nozzle filter systems is 99.1%, compared to 47% in the conventional filter system. Therefore the automatic self-cleaning filter system using twin-fluid nozzle filter systems reduces water supplied in the filter system, and increases cleaning efficiency and drying efficiency.

  • In the bench scale test unit consisting of four commercial filter elements, the traces of the transient pressure around the nozzle and overpressure in the filter cavity were measured to estimate the effect of nozzle on pulse cleaning. For the given pulse cleaning system, the convergent nozzle displayed better performance than the straight one. The optimum ratio of outlet to inside diameter of convergent nozzle was determined, which minimized the pulse gas consumption and maximized the entrainment effect. The angle and height of nozzle convergent part was also optimum operational condition, which is meaningful to the industrial applying.

  • 본 연구에서는 산업용 발전설비 부품의 곡면을 표면처리 하기 위한 브라스팅 노즐을 설계한 후 압축성 유동해석을 통해 분사 성능을 살펴보았다. 이때 곡면 노즐의 출구는 부품의 표면을 따라 곡면으로 설계되었다. 3차원 프린팅으로 노즐을 제작한 후 실린더형 시편의 표면에 연마재를 분사하여 세정 성능시험을 수행하였다. 해석 후 얻은 유효 세정 면적과 실험 후 얻은 유효 세정 면적의 크기와 형상이 유사하였으며 이로부터 곡면형 노즐 설계의 타당성 및 실효성을 확인하였다.

  • As the fabrication technology used in FPDs(flat-panel displays) advances, the size of these panels is increasing and the pattern size is decreasing to the um range. Accordingly, a cleaning process during the FPD fabrication process is becoming more important to prevent yield reductions. The purpose of this study is to develop a FPD cleaning system and a cleaning process using a two-phase flow. The FPD cleaning system consists of two parts, one being a cleaning part which includes a two-phase flow nozzle, and the other being a drying part which includes an air-knife and a halogen lamp. To evaluate the particle removal efficiency by means of two-phase flow cleaning, silica particles $1.5{\mu}m$ in size were contaminated onto a six-inch silicon wafer and a four-inch glass wafer. We conducted cleaning processes under various conditions, i.e., DI water and nitrogen gas at different pressures, using a two-phase-flow nozzle with a gap distance between the nozzle and the substrate. The drying efficiency was also tested using the air-knife with a change in the gap distance between the air-knife and the substrate to remove the DI water which remained on the substrate after the two-phase-flow cleaning process. We obtained high efficiency in terms of particle removal as well as good drying efficiency through the optimized conditions of the two-phase-flow cleaning and air-knife processes.

CFD를 이용한 CMP장비의 효과적인 공정을 위한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Analysis Using CFD for Effective Process at CMP Equipment)

  • CMP process is an essential element in the semiconductor product processes in Chemical Mechanical Polishing. Taken as a whole, CMP is one process, but concretely, it is a detail process which consists of polishing, cleaning, and so on. Especially, the polishing and cleaning are key points in the whole process. Polishing rate is the most important factor and is related with deposition of slurry in the polishing process. Each outlet velocities is the most important factors in cleaning process. And when the velocities are more uniform, the cleaning becomes more effective. In this research, based on these factors, we performed a numerical analysis for effective polishing and cleaning which can be applied to industrial field. Consequently, we figured out that more than one opened nozzle is more effective than one opened nozzle at the polishing pad in case of this research. And we confirmed that the revised models have the uniform velocity distribution more than the previous model of the cleaning nozzle.

  • The cleaning process to remove small particles, ions, and other polluted sources is one of the major parts in the recent semiconductor industry because it can cause fatal errors on the quality of the final products. According to the other reports, the major factors of bath's fluid motion are the cleaning method, nozzle, the geometry (of bath, guide and wafer), and the position (of guide and wafer). So to enhance cleaning efficiency in the bath, these factors must be controlled. The purpose of this study is to analyze and visualize fluid motion in the cleaning bath as basic data for designing the nozzle system and finding the process control parameters. For that, we used the general CFD code FLUENT.

  • The ink which is left by sealed more than 6 months, it clogs head nozzle of machine due to precipitation and coagulation. In addition, if you stop printing about 3~4 hours in the middle of printing work, the head nozzles of printer could be naturally clogged. To prevent of this situation, worker should implement cleaning and checking head nozzle before hands. When the nozzle is clogged in the middle of work, running a head cleaning mode can clear the clogged nozzle. Yet, large amount of waste inks which are passed clogged nozzle will be remained after cleaning. It would be very nice that ink companies take the waste ink back by green marketing, but none of them are doing it currently. The purpose of this research is that making a black water-based recycle ink by waste inks which are left of nozzle clogging or passed expiration date. This recycle ink will improved working environment and reduce cost of disposing waste inks. Furthermore, it is very environment friendly and economical. It is called a recycle ink which is water-based black ink made by waste inks.

바인더 젯 3D 프린터의 프린팅 헤드 내구성 향상을 위한 연구 (A Study for Improving the Durability of Print Heads in Binder Jet 3D Printers Method)

  • This research was conducted to reduce the defect rate caused by nozzle clogging of printing heads used in binder jet 3D printers. The binder jet 3D printing technology may adhere to the printing head nozzle by dispersing powder due to mechanical operation such as transferring the printing head and supplying powder, and may cause nozzle clogging by natural curing at the nozzle end depending on the type of binder used. To solve this problem, this study created a cleaning module exclusively for printing heads to check whether the durability of printing heads is improved through analysis of printing results before and after using the cleaning module. To this end, this research used a thermal bubble jet printing head, and the used powder was studied using gypsum powder.

  • Atomized liquid jets from the washing nozzle which configured with recirculation chamber for cleaning hot-zone area are accelerated and impinged on the head lamp surface. Cleaning efficiency of head lamp can be increased with injecting washing fluids into the hot-zone area. Experimental and numerical studies with various design parameters were executed to reveal the relations between internal geometry and internal flow in the washing nozzle. Spray structures were fitted with each of the head lamp surfaces and spray nozzles were optimized to the spray pattern. The recirculation chamber induces a recirculation flow and can be decreased the pressures perturbation inside the chamber. Orifice determines the mass flow rate. When the diameter of orifice is excessively large, it showed an unstable spray pattern. As a nozzle exit angle increases, density distributions are separated with two section. Also, as a protrusion length of nozzle exit increases, spray patterns are spread into a large area and density distributions showed unstable trend.

$CO_2$ Snow Cleaning 적용 철제유물 표면 이물질 제거 연구 (Application Study of $CO_2$ Snow Cleaning for Cleaning of Foreign Matter and Corrosion Products on Iron Artifacts)

  • 철제유물의 보존처리 과정 중 표면 이물질 제거는 유물의 원형을 찾아주는 중요한 단계이다. 현재 표면 이물질 제거 시 가장 많이 사용하는 sand blaster (air brasive)의 경우, 분사되는 유리가루는 인체에 유해하고 환경오염을 유발하는 주요한 물질이다. 그러므로 이런 문제점을 보완하기 위해 타 산업분야에서 친환경세정장비로 많이 쓰이고 있는 $CO_2$ snow cleaning을 철제유물 표면 이물질 제거에 적용하여 비교·연구 하였다. 실험은 부식시험편과 철제유물에 sand blaster와 $CO_2$ snow cleaning을 적용하여 비교 분석하였다. 부식시험편의 경우, sand blaster와 $CO_2$ snow cleaning 방법 모두 이물질 제거 정도, 표면 거칠기, 색도 측정 결과가 유사하게 나타났으며, 특히 SEM을 통해 $CO_2$ snow cleaning을 적용한 부식시험편은 sand blaster에 비해 표면을 마모시키지 않는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 철제유물에 적용한 경우, $CO_2$ snow cleaning의 power nozzle은 sand blaster에 비해 표면을 마모시키지 않고 고른 표면을 유지하는 등 세정효과가 우수하게 나타났다. 그리고 X-ray촬영을 통해 이물질 제거 전과 후 금속 내부의 구조적 변화는 없음을 관찰하였다. 결론적으로 sand blaster와 $CO_2$ snow cleaning의 power nozzle은 이물질 제거 효과가 유사함을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 $CO_2$ snow cleaning의 power nozzle을 철제유물에 적용하여도 sand blaster와 유사한 효과는 얻을 수 있으나, 분사압력이 높을 경우 철제 유물이 손상될 우려가 있으므로 유물 내부 상태에 따라 적용여부를 판단해야 함을 본 실험을 통하여 알 수 있었다.
