  • The purpose of this paper was to investigate the overburden effect on soil-water characteristic curve and unsaturated permeability of unsaturated weathered soils. For this, unsaturated suction and permeability tests under various overburden stress were conducted respectively. Then, the coefficient of unsaturated permeability and moisture capacity of weathered soils were estimated and compared. All these results are presented in the paper.

  • There were no cases to use CJM Grouting to Reduce the Permeability of open-cut in Alluvium adjacent to Han River. In this paper, the applicability of CJM Grouting to Reduce the Permeability in Alluvium is reasonably estimated by in-situ Permeability test and coring. It is known that the range of improvement is decided by injection pressure, time of high pressure water and by slump, injection pressure of injection materials.

  • In this study, analyze the status and problem of a noise and vibration control laws of it through the questionnaire. The method of survey was made by questionnaires which were the civil worker 138 persons and civil servant 132 persons. Based on this survey, we suggest a improvement of the noise and vibration control laws.

  • The outlook for the Civil Service Pension (CSP) program in Korea indicates several problems. First, the balance of the benefit among the pension recipients is not well maintained. Second, the program is running out of funds as benefit increases exceed the growth in revenues. In this article, we analyze these problems by using linear programming model and discuss the alternatives. We propose an addition of the age limit to the benefit eligibility and a reconsideration of the government subsidy's level.
