에스렐과 탄산칼슘에 의한 하우스 밀감의 착색 촉진 (Ethephon Mixed with Calcium Carbonate Accelerate Coloration of Satsuma Mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) in the Plastic House)

  • 하우스 밀감의 착색을 촉진시키고자 궁천조생 8년생을 공시하고 ethephon (2-chloro-ethylphosphonic acid) 100+ca1cium carbonate(clef-non) 10000mg.L$^{-1}$을 착색시부터 15일 간격으로 1회, 2회, 3회 살포하여 착색조사를 하였다. Ethephon +clef-non의 살포에 의한 과괴의 착색도 a는 살포회수가 많아질수록 높아지는 경향이었으며 a/b도 이와 유사한 경향으로 ethephon+clef-non 살포에 의해 착색이 촉진되었다 포도당과 과당은 처리간에 차이를 볼 수 없었고, 자당 및 전당은 살포회수가 많아질수록 증가되는 경향이었으나 유의차가 없었다 당도는 모든 처리구에서 12。Bx 이상으로 높은 편이었는데 3회 살포구(13。Bx)를 제외하고는 살포회수간에는 차이가 없었다.

마이크로프로쎄서를 이용한 과채류 자동 저장 제어장치의 제작과 온도 자동계측 관리 시스템 (Development of Microprocessor-based Automatic Storage Controller and Temperature Auto-measurement System for Horticultural Crops)

  • 저장실, 저장상자, 공기분배장치 등을 포함한 실험실 규모의 저장실을 설계, 제작하였다. 과실류를 수용할 수 있는 저장상자(1.7 l)는 투명아크릴을 재질로 일정 공기가 계속해서 순환되도록 하고 저장실은 $0{\sim}30^{\circ}C$ 범위내에서 ${\pm}0.5^{\circ}C$의 정확도로 온도제어가 가능하였다. 저장상자로 유입되는 공기는 공기분배 장치를 통하여 예냉과 공기압의 균일화가 이루어지도록 하였고 Solenoid valve를 사용한 저장상자 선택장치를 제작하였다. 이와 같은 저장시설의 환경제어와 계측을 전담할 수 있는 마이크로프로셰서 시스템을 8 bit 마이크로프로쎄서와 기억장치, 그리고 입출력장치 등의 IC chip을 이용하여 설계 제작하였다. 동 시스템을 활용하기 위하여 저장환경의 제어를 위한 소프트웨어를 개발하고 운영프로그램을 ROM화 할 수 있었다. 제작된 저장 자동제어장치 시스템을 이용 밀감류 저장에 적용하여 저장시설의 운영 및 온도의 자료수집을 성공적으로 수행할 수 있었다.

Application of time-of-flight near infrared spectroscopy to Satsuma mandarin

  • In this study, a newly constructed optical measurement system, whose main components were a parametric tunable laser and a near infrared photoelectric multiplier, was applied to detection of the information for the inside of Satsuma mandarin using time-of-flight near infrared spectroscopy (TOF-NIRS). The combined effects on the time resolved profile of sample diameter, sugar content, the wavelength of the laser beam, and the detection position of transmitted light were investigated in detail. The samples used were Satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshu $M^{ARC}$.) (location: Wakayama, Japan) having the diameters of 50-84 mm. The sugar content measured by a refractometer varied from 9.9 to 16.3 Brix%. Equator of sample was irradiated vertically with the pulsed laser, and transmitted output power was measured on the restricted position of the equator using the optical fiber cable. The sampling time and the number of averaging the output power were 100 ns and 100 times, respectively. The variation of the attenuance of peak maxima At, the time delay of peak maxima t and the variation of full width at half maximum w were strongly dependent on the detection position and the wavelength of the laser beam. At, t and w increased gradually as the sample diameter increased to be much absorbed and vigorously scattered. On the other hand, each optical parameter had a tendency to increase as the sugar content increased. Such behavior was remarkable when the transmitted light was detected at the side face of a sample. When we apply TOF-NIRS to detection of the information for the inside of fruit with high moisture content like Satsuma mandarin, it is very important to give attention to the difference in the scattered light within tissues and the semi-straightly propagated light. Furthermore, we tried to express the resulting phenomena by using a model samples composed of water, sucrose, and milk. The variation of the time resolved profile is strongly governed by the combination of the light absorption component, scattering medium, and refractive index.

Effects of Cover Plants on Soil Microbial Community in a Organic Pear Orchard

  • Due to recent interest of the consumers on safe farm products and the government's political support for eco-friendly agriculture, organic fruit production has been growing continuously. This research was conducted in order to study the effect of cover plants on soil microbial community on cover plants and establish an organic fruit cultivation method through choosing optimal cover plant. As a result of investigating soil microbial population density, the bacterial density in soil showed an increasing trend in June compared to April, and there was a decreasing trend in bacterial density of the soil in August compared to June. The density of actinomycetes in soil increased around 1.6 times in June compared to April when the soil was covered with hairy vetch. The increase of filamentous fungus in crimson clover group was 6.1 times higher in June compared to April and in hairy vetch group, the increase was 4.9 times higher in June compared to April. As a result of analyzing DNA extracted from the soil categorized by different types of cover plants using DGGE method, soil collected from April had higher number of bands detected from different locations according to different types of cover plants. Diversity of the bands from the soil collected from August showed higher range of reduction. As a result of analyzing soil microbial community by different period and the types of cover plants using Pyrosequencing method, microbes were detected in the order of Proteobacteria, Acidobacteria, Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Chloroflexi, and Firmicutes. Distribution rate of Firmicutes increased in the soil collected in August compared to June and this was shown in all types of cover plants by twice the amount.

Understanding Phytosanitary Irradiation Treatment of Pineapple Using Monte Carlo Simulation

  • Purpose: Pineapple is now the third most important tropical fruit in world production after banana and citrus. Phytosanitary irradiation is recognized as a promising alternative treatment to chemical fumigation. However, most of the phytosanitary irradiation studies have dealt with physiochemical properties and its efficacy. Accurate dose calculation is crucial for ensuring proper process control in phytosanitary irradiation. The objective of this study was to optimize phytosanitary irradiation treatment of pineapple in various radiation sources using Monte Carlo simulation. Methods: 3-D geometry and component densities of the pineapple, extracted from CT scan data, were entered into a radiation transport Monte Carlo code (MCNP5) to obtain simulated dose distribution. Radiation energy used for simulation were 2 MeV (low-energy) and 10 MeV (high-energy) for electron beams, 1.25 MeV for gamma-rays, and 5 MeV for X-rays. Results: For low-energy electron beam simulation, electrons penetrated up to 0.75 cm from the pineapple skin, which is good for controlling insect eggs laid just below the fruit surface. For high-energy electron beam simulation, electrons penetrated up to 4.5 cm and the irradiation area occupied 60.2% of the whole area at single-side irradiation and 90.6% at double-side irradiation. For a single-side only gamma- and X-ray source simulation, the entire pineapple was irradiated and dose uniformity ratios (Dmax/Dmin) were 2.23 and 2.19, respectively. Even though both sources had all greater penetrating capability, the X-ray treatment is safer and the gamma-ray treatment is more widely used due to their availability. Conclusions: These results are invaluable for optimizing phytosanitary irradiation treatment planning of pineapple.

인터넷 영양교육에 참여한 전국 대학생의 식품섭취 및 다양성에 관한 평가 (Regional Differences in Food Intake and Diversity among Korean College Students of a Nutrition Education Course through the Internet)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diversity of food intake among Korean college students of a nutrition education course through the internet. Subjects were 796 nation-wide college students (male 278, female 518). A dietary survey collected from 3 day-recalls were analyzed by the Computer Aided Nutritional Analysis Program. Diet variety was assessed by DDS (dietary diversity score), MBS (meal balance score), and DVS (dietary variety score). The foods consumed in largest amounts were rice (54.42 g), citrus fruit (36.41 g) and milk (30.91 g). The foods consumed most frequently were rice (65.28%), garlic (63.65%) and salt (63.64%). The average food intake was 1325.3 g (male 1420.6 g, female 1274.1 g), with vegetable and animal food comprising 78.5% and 21.5% of total food intake, respectively. The consumption of the major five food groups comprised DDS, and 66.0% (male 56.1%, female 71.3%) of subjects had a DDS of 5 and 27.4% (male 33.5%, female 24.1%) of subjects had a DDS of 4..Groups most frequently missed were dairy products (56.5%) and fruits (41.6%). The average of MBS were 10.88 (11.61 in Seoul, 11.03 in Kyungsang, 10.88 in Chungcheong, 10.85 in Incheon, 10.57 in Kyunggi) in male and 11.08 (11.47 in Kyungsang, 11.20 in Seoul, 11.18 in Kyunggi, 10.82 in Chungcheong, 10.64 in Incheon) in female. Male students in Seoul (18.2) and female students in Kyungsang (18.6) had the greater number of consumed food items. Subjects who had higher DDS had significantly higher DVS (p < 0.001). Based on these results, the food intake of the subjects regarded as not adequate, especially with regards to the dairy and fruit groups. Considering their nutritional characteristics, dietary guidelines as well as education should be made to improve the food intake and include various foods in their diet.

과수재배용 온실의 구조유형과 설계요소 분석 (Analysis of Structural Types and Design Factors for Fruit Tree Greenhouses)

  • 본 연구는 과수재배 시설의 표준화 및 환경조절기술개발을 위한 기초자료로 제공하는 것을 목적으로 과수재배용 온실의 실태를 조사하여 구조유형과 설계요소를 분석하고, 기상재해에 대한 안전성과 구조 및 환경관리에 대한 개선방안을 검토하였다. 시설재배 면적이 가장 많은 5개 품목 중 주로 제주도에서 재배되고 있는 감귤과 현재 재배온실을 찾을 수 없는 단감을 제외한 포도, 배 및 복숭아재배 온실을 연구대상으로 하였다. 감귤과 포도재배 온실은 꾸준히 증가하고 있으나 저장시설의 발달로 배와 단감재배 온실은 감소하고 있는 추세이다. 앞으로는 비가림 효과가 크고 저장성이 떨어지는 품목을 중심으로 과수재배 온실의 변화가 예상된다. 조사대상 온실 중 배 재배 온실과 복숭아재배 대형 단동온실을 제외하고는 대체로 보급형 온실의 규격을 따르고 있으며, 재배작목별로 특성화된 온실은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 과수재배 온실의 대부분은 농촌진흥청과 농림수산식품부에서 고시한 농가보급형 모델이나 내재해형 모델의 부재규격을 따르고 있었다. 기초는 대부분 콘크리트 기초를 사용하고 있었으며, 배 재배 온실의 경우에는 내재해형 모델보다 두꺼운 단면의 기둥을 사용하고, 강판을 기둥의 하단에 용접하여 매설한 형태의 특수한 기초를 적용하고 있었다. 조사대상 온실의 구조적 안전성을 검토한 결과 대부분 안전하였으나 김천과 천안의 포도재배 온실, 남원과 천안의 복숭아재배 온실에서 적설에 불안전한 것으로 나타났고, 남원의 복숭아재배 온실은 풍속에 대한 안전성도 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 채소재배 온실을 복숭아재배로 전용한 온실의 경우 적설과 풍하중 모두 상당히 불안정한 것으로 나타났다. 과수의 수형, 수고 및 재식간격을 고려하여 과수 재배 온실의 적정규격을 검토한 결과 포도재배 온실은 폭 7.0~8.0m, 측고 2.5~2.8m가 적당하고, 배와 복숭아재배 온실은 폭 6.0~7.0m, 측고 3.0~3.3m 정도가 적당한 것으로 판단된다.

적색과 초적색 LEDs 보광이 '홍로'/M.26 사과의 과실품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of RED and FAR-RED LEDs on the Fruit Quality of 'Hongro'/M.26 Apple)

  • 국내 LEDs 산업의 발달함에 따라 LEDs 가격이 지속적으로 낮아지며 광량과 내구성이 좋은 LEDs가 개발되어 불량한 기후 조건에서 작물의 수량을 증진하기 위하여 시설재배 농가를 중심으로 원예작물에 LEDs 이용을 위한 시도가 이뤄지고 있다. 이에 본 실험은 적색과 초적색 LEDs 보광이 '홍로'/M.26 사과의 과중분포 및 과실품질에 미치는 영향을 구명하여 사과에서 LEDs 보광이 과실의 품질향상에 도움이 될 수 있는지를 구명하기 위하여 실험하였다. 실험 처리는 대조구인 무처리구, 적색광(660nm) 2, 4시간 조사구, 초적색광(730nm) 2, 4시간 조사구의 5처리를 난괴법 3반복으로 실험하였다. LEDs 보광은 일몰후 처리별로 조사하였으며 처리시기는 화아분화기와 착색기에 각각 1개월씩 보광하였다. 실험결과 적색광 LEDs 보광에 의해 대조구에 비해 적색 LED 처리구에서 엽중이 늘어났으나 초적색 LEDs 보광에서는 엽중이 감소하였으며 보광시간이 길어질수록 더욱 감소하였다. 2009년에는 무처리구인 대조구에 비해 LEDs 처리구에서 과중이 증가하였으며 특히 적색광 LEDs 처리구에서 188g 이하의 소과 발생도 없었고 300g 이상 과실도 많았다. 2010년에는 250g 이상 과실이 대조구에 비해 적색광 2, 4시간 보광에서 증가하였으나 초적색광 보광에서는 대조구에 비해 감소하였다. 과실의 경도는 대조구에 비해 초적색광 2, 4시간 보광에서 증가하였으며 당도에서는 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 착색도에 있어서는 적색 LEDs 처리구가 대조구에 비해 Hunter a 값이 낮아지는 경향을 나타냈으나 초적색광에서는 높아지는 경향을 나타냈다. 이상의 결과를 통해 살펴보면, 적색광은 홍로 사과의 과중을 증가시켰으나 초적색광은 Hunter a 값을 높이는 결과를 나타냈다. 이에 앞으로 사과원에서의 LEDs의 효과적인 이용을 위해 적색광과 초적색광 단용처리가 아닌 혼합처리를 하여 각각의 광원의 효과가 상승적으로 작용하는지에 대한 추가적인 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단되었다.

근적외선 분광기술을 이용한 휴대용 감귤 당도 선과기 성능특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Characteristics of Portable Analyzer for Determination of Sugar Content in Citrus Unshiu using Near Infrared Spectroscopy)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop to portable near infrared analyzer measuring the sugar content of the fruits on a tree before harvesting ones. The portable near infrared system consists of a tungsten lamp, a coaxial optical fiber bundle and a multi-channel detector, which has 256 pixels and a concave transmission grating. Reflectance NIR spectra of orange were recorded by using a coaxial optical fiber bundle. The spectra were collected over the spectral range $400{\sim}1100nm$. Partial least squares regression(PLSR) was applied for a calibration and validation for determination of sugar contents. The multiple correlation coefficient was 0.99 and standard errors of calibration(SEC) was 0.069 brix. The calibration model predicted the sugar content for validation set with standard errors of prediction(SEP) of 0.092 brix. The sugar content in fruits was successfully quantified using the portable near infrared analyzer.
