개폐과전압 발생시 지중송전선로 편단접지 구간에서 SVL에 미치는 과도특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on SVL Transient Characteristics by Switching Overvoltage at Single Point Bonding Section in Underground Transmission Cables)

  • This paper describes sheath voltage limiter(SVL) transient characteristics by switching overvoltage considering single point bonding in underground transmission cables. The crossbonding system is generally used for grounding methods of underground transmission system. However, the single point bonding system is used in selective area which is difficult to consist of crossbonding major section. The sheath voltage limiters are connected between joints in the single point bonding. Specially, the high overvoltage might be generated in that section as well as the aging of sheath voltage limiter might be progressed by various electrical stress including lightning overvoltage, switching overvoltage and power frequency overvoltage. Therefore, in this paper, the switching overvoltage characteristics in underground cables are firstly analysed using EMTP simulation. Then, the switching overvoltage of sheath voltage limiter is also studied in single point bonding. Finally, the reduction method of sheath voltage limiter switching overvoltage is proposed by various simulation studies including circuit breaker operating order.

  • The vacuum interrupter (VI) is widely used in medium-voltage switching circuits due to its abilities and advantages as an environmental friendly circuit breaker. An understanding of the vacuum arc flow phenomena is very important for improving the performance of vacuum interrupter. In order to closely examine the vacuum arc phenomena, it is necessary to predict the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) characteristics by the multidisciplinary numerical modeling, which is coupled with the electromagnetic and the thermal flow fields, simultaneously. In this study, we have investigated arc plasma constriction phenomena and an effect of AMF on the arc plasma with the high-current vacuum arcs for the cup-type AMF electrode by using a commercial finite element analysis (FEA) package, ANSYS. The simulation results applied with various AMFs and constant Joule heat generation show that strong axial magnetic field (AMF) permits the arc to be maintained in a diffused mode to a high-current vacuum arc. However, further studies are required on the two-way coupling method and radiation model for arc plasma in order to accomplish the advanced analysis method.

  • 본 논문에서는 현존하는 크레인 모니터링 시스템의 문제점을 보완한 새로운 크레인 통합 모니터링 시스템 구현한다. 구현하는 모니터링 시스템은 무선 네트워크를 기본으로 주 차단기의 전체 부하전류를 측정하기 위한 시스템, 주 감속기의 오일 및 베어링 감시를 위한 온도와 진동 측정 시스템, 주권 모터 베어링의 온도 측정 시스템, 또한 전기실 전체의 화재 감시를 위한 센서 등을 갖추고 여기에서 측정한 데이터를 중앙의 감시실로 전송하여 진단을 수행하는 통합 모니터링 시스템을 구현하고 성능시험을 수행한다.

25.8kV급 GIS에 Matrix System을 적용한 전력설비 최적화 연구 (A Study on Optimization of Electric Power Facilities Applied Matrix System at 25.8kV GIS)

  • Recently, more electric power facilities have been miniaturized and it is noted that the facilities maintenance will be essential through operation optimization. In this paper we applied and examined the operation optimization of electric power facilities by applying Matrix system which can improve reliability to minimize outage and recover failure rapidly when blackouts happen at 25.8kV Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS). The fundamental problem for facilities maintenance of GIS can happen due to indeterminable internal state in real time. Matrix optimization organizes action states in all containers which contain pressurized $SF_6$ Gas such as circuit breaker, disconnector switch, bus for utilizing them each area. Then, we connect it with power system to monitor and control internal state remotely in real time, and we can minimize blackout zone or outage. Considering above process, we improved stability of overall facilities.

평등전계에서 도전성 구형 입자의 운동 (Motion of Conductive Spherical Particle under Uniform Electric Field)

  • The motion of a conductive spherical particle under uniform electric field is investigated in order to find a suitable method for removing the conducting solid impurities contained in liquid plastic. When the positive dc voltage applied to the upper electrode, the vertical up-and-down motion of a charged particle by electrostatic force is observed by a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera or a high-speed video camera. The experimental data of the static threshold voltage by which the particle starts to move toward the counter electrode in air or silicone oil are in good agreement with theoretical value. When the applied voltage is larger than the static threshold voltage, the particle motion pattern in silicone oil consists of four stages: upward motion, stopping at the upper electrode, downward motion and stopping at the lower electrode. The stopping motion on the electrode is thought to be caused by the liquid flow accompanied by the particle motion. The particle charge calculated by integrating the pulse current, which is generated by the charge exchange between the electrode and the particle, is approximately 0.1~0.25 times of the theoretical value. This study is expected to help understand the electric properties of microparticles in oil circuit breaker (OCB) and oil transformer and improve their performance and longevity.

  • 최근 세계시장이 Al-Casting 외함(알루미늄 주물탱크)을 적용한 GCB(Gas Circuit Breaker) 및 GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear)를 선호하고 있으며, 이는 철재 외함에 비해 많은 이점을 갖고 있기 때문이다. 알루미늄 외함은 철재 용접형 제품에 비해 중량이 가벼워 취급 및 운반이 용이할 뿐 아니라 장기 사용 시에도 발청의 우려가 없으며, 2층 이상의 건물에 신설 또는 증설시 건물의 중량 제한에 따른 제약 조건에서 훨씬 자유롭다. 또한 Casting은 Welding형에 비해 분기부 전계 강도가 유리하고, 알루미늄은 철에 비해 열발생량이 적어 외함크기 축소가 가능하다. 또한 제작공정이 철재 용접외함에 비해 단순하고 대량생산에 유리하다. 이로 인해 외함이 표준화되고 GIS 모듈화가 완성되면 기종별 Series화하여 대량생산 체제 구축에 유리하게 된다. 점진적인 인건비 상승으로 용접형 외함의 단가상승이 예상되며, GCB의 경우 Al Casting형이 원가면에서도 유리하다. 이에 당사 GCB 및 GIS 제품 경쟁력 향상 및 수출시장 적극공략을 목적으로 현행 GCB 및 GIS 철재 용접형외함을 알루미늄 Casting 외함으로의 변경, 개발을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 Al Casting 외함을 개발하기 위한 일련의 과정에 대해 소개한다.

  • The series and parallel connection is essential for increasing power ratings of resistive type for fault current limiters. To increase voltage class, components are connected in series and to increase current level to the nominal value, they are connected in parallel. There are two ways to connect components in series and parallel. First, connected in series and then the module connects to the parallel. Second, connected in parallel and the module connects to the series. We have studied for the two ways. In this paper, we particularly investigated way to connect components in parallel first This way has the advantage of inducing effective simultaneous quench without any other devices, for example, the thing which is inducing magnetic field to the limiting and shunt resistors. And also we studied for the endurance of component which is patterned to the bi-spiral for prospective fault current. It is very important to understand this, because SFCL will use as the only device to decrease burden of circuit breaker. As experimental results, limiting component patterned to bi-spiral endures fault current up to 30kA and it works well, in parallel to series connection,

  • 태양광 발전의 DC 전압 출력 및 케이블을 이용한 해상풍력 발전과 같은 신재생 에너지 이용이 증대되고 있다. 또한, 에너지의 전력전송 대용량화에 따른 기존의 AC 전력전송 방식을 개선한 DC 전력전송에 대한 연구가 활발히 연구되고 있다. DC 전력전송은 송전선로의 원거리화 및 절연내력의 저감과 같은 장점이 있으나, 전류 차단 시 큰 아크로 인하여 고속차단기 구성이 매우 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 최근에는 DC 전력전송에 있어서 큰 과제인 고속차단을 위해 전자식 차단기에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 전자식 차단기를 구성할 경우 차단기 투입 시 큰 돌입전류와 입출력 절연저항이 기존 차단기보다 낮아지는 단점으로 인해 매우 큰 아크가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 고 전압 대 전류에 적합하고 피크성 전압/전류에 강인한 소자인 SCR을 이용한 전자식 DC 차단기 연구를 진행하였다.

기능성 경사 재료의 적용을 통한 진공 인터럽터의 삼중점 전계 완화 (Reduction of the Electric Field Concentration at the Triple Junction of the Vacuum Interrupter by Using the Application of Functionally Graded Material)

  • A vacuum Interrupter (VI), a core part that composes the breaking part of medium-voltage vacuum circuit breaker (VCB), has the excellent insulation performance and arc-extinguishing capability. $SF_6$ gas had been used for the external insulation of VIs since the dielectric strength of $SF_6$ gas is superior to that of other insulation gases. However, because of environmental problems related with global warming, a solid-insulated technology was recently researched. The functionally graded material (FGM), as changing spatially the distribution of the relative permittivity inside an insulator, can reduce the electric field stress at the specific region. Especially, the external insulation performance of the VI with the molded FGM insulator is greatly improved as compared with that of the existing VI or the VI with a new external shield. In this paper, the effectiveness of this FGM insulator is verified by the numerical simulation.

국내 교류 전기철도 급전계통 보호용 과전류 계전기 모델링 및 과부하 보호 협조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Overcurrent Relay Modeling and Protective Coordination for Overload in Domestic AC Electrical Railway System)

  • In this paper, modeling of overcurrent relay(OCR) to protect domestic AC electric railway Auto Transformer(AT) feeding system and operation characteristic analysis on overload condition are described. The target system of this paper is actual site where overload trip of circuit breaker occurs frequently. Because this AT feeding system is made of parallel single track which had a load(electric train) respectively, and is connected with only T phase of Scott Transformer. In addition, this system has been feeding 66kV voltage by KEPCO, not 154kV. We focus on protective coordination of Scott Transformer primary side and secondary side OCR for Korea single track AC electrical railway system in operation currently. We modeled single track AT feeding system and OCR. Also we performed faults and overload analysis for verification of OCR's setting values and system modeling. To analyze above mentioned research, we used PSCAD/EMTDC software tool.
