To introduce the four-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT, Light Speed RT, General Electric, USA) scanner newly installed in our department and evaluate its feasibility for gated radiotherapy. Respiratory signal measured by real-time position management (RPM$^{\circledR}$, Varian Medical, USA) was recorded in synchronization with the 4DCT scanner. 4DCT data were acquired in axial cine mode and sorted retrospective image based on respiratory phase. PTVs delineated from helical CT and 4DCT images were compared. The PTV delineated from conventional helical CT images was 2 cc larger than that from 4DCT images. Dose in PTV of the plan from retrospective CT was 99.3% (minimum=72.0%, maximum=106.5%) and that of helical CT plan was 95.2% (minimum=24.1%, maximum=106.4%) of prescribed dose. Comparing with DVHs of both plan, the coverage for 4CDT plan was 3.7% improved. It is expected that 4DCT could improve tumor control and reduce radiation toxicity for liver cancer.

The purpose of this paper was to compare the clinical efficacy of iopamidol and iopromide, iohexol nonionic contrast media in terms of their image quality in Beagle dogs with hepatic CT angiography and their application in veterinary clinics. With 9 Beagle dogs, contrast media of iopamidol (pamiray-$300^(R)$) and iopromide (ultravist-$300^(R)$, iohexol (omnipaque-$300^(R)$) were induced intravenously (600 mg I/kg, BW) and CT angiography was done under general anesthesia. CT scan included scout, pre-contrast and cine examinations. During CT angiography, peak HU (Hounsfield unit) and peak time were examined on each site (ROI; region of interest) of the aorta, caudal vena cava, potral vein and liver parenchyma. Any side effects were also examined. After experiments, it was found that there were no significant changes of HU and maximal enhancing time of each ROIs of aorta, caudal vena cava, portal vein and liver parenchyma between these contrast media. And any side effects were not noted. So it is concluded that iopamidol has similiar contrast enhancement like as iopromide and iohexol in hepatic angiography and and it is thought to be useful for evaluation of the abdominal organs by CT scan in veterinary clinics.

Left ventricular volume would be useful in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with various heart diseases. So we measured left ventricular volume index using gated blood pool nuclear cardiac angiography which was easy to perform, non-invasive, and capable of repetitive studies. These left ventricular volume indices were compared with left ventricular volumes by quantitative cardiac cine-angiography and the results were as follows, 1. The correlation coefficient between left ventricular volume indices and left ventricular volumes was 0.829 (p<0.001). 2. The correlation coefficient between left ventricular volume indices and absolute left ventricular volumes which were obtained by measurement of cardiac output of patients. 3. There were good correlation in intraobserver and interobserver analysis.

Information about regional wall motion obtained with gated $^{99m}Tc-MIBI$ SPECT was compared in 23 subjects(4 normals) to echocardiography or contrast left ventriculography. Gated SPECT study using 20-30 mCi $^{99m}Tc-MIBI$ were aquired lot 8 frames/RR interval (aqusition time=40min.) and processed with Cine Mode computer protocol. Regional wall motion was assessed by visual analysis. The concordance with echocardiography was 88% and with contrast ventriculography was 78%. We conclude that gated $^{99m}Tc-MIBI$ SPECT was effective in assessing the regional wall motion with the information of regional perfusion in one study.

We demonstrated, for the first time, pronuclear formation and apposition in porcine ooc-ytes following intracytoplasmic injection of porcine, human, bovine and mouse spermatozoon. Microtubule organization and chromatin configuration were investigated in these oocytes during pronuclear apposition. Following intracytoplasmic injection of porcine spermatozoon, the microtubular aster was organized from the neck of spermatozoon, and filled the whole cytoplasm. This male derived microtubules appear to move both pronuclei to the center of oocytes. In contrast, following injection of spermatozoa from different species such as human, bovine and mouse, microtubules were organized from the cortex of the oocytes and concentrated to the pronuclei, which seems to move both male and female pronuclei to the center of oocyte. This organization is similar to what has been shown in the parthenogenetically activated por-cine oocytes. These results suggested that the porcine, human, bovine and mouse sperm chromatin can be formed pronucleus and apposited in the center of oocytes in the absence of male derived microtubule when they were injected into porcine oocytes.

Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is expected to be increasingly used in Korea due to technology advances and the expanded national insurance coverage of these tests. For improved patient care, it is crucial not only that CMR images are properly acquired but that they are accurately interpreted by well-trained personnel. In response to the increased demand for CMR, the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (KOSCI) has issued interpretation guidelines in conjunction with the Korean Society of Radiology (KSR). KOSCI has also created a formal Committee on CMR Guidelines to write updated practices. The members of this Committee review previously published interpretation guidelines and discuss the patterns of CMR use in Korea.

Korean fresh elephant -foot (Amorphophalus Konjak K. Koch) and its powder were analyzed and compared with foreign samples for the purpose of investigating the physico -chemical characteristics of Korean konjak. The Korean fresh konjak contains 80.64% of moisture and most of the solid component comprises sugar, protein and trace of fat and fibre. The mannan content of Korean konjak powder is far smaller than those of Japanese and Chinese konjak powder. The analysis of the korean konjak protein tells that 45% of glutamic acid, aspartic acid and argi-nine is included other remaining amino acid is larger with the order of valine, serine, leucine, and gly-cine. The Korean konjak contains a moderate amount of K component and other inorganic component increases with the order of P Na and Ca. The yield of konjak refined powder from dried chip was 61% and 51.5% of korean and chinese re-spectively. The whiteness degree of chinese konjak powder was slightly higher than that of korean product but the difference could not be recognized by the naked eye.

DICOM(Digital Imaging and Communications in MediCine), standard of medical image operation, present the methods for communications and Storage of Medical Image. medical image acquired from patient in hospital made DICOM files. this paper purposes design and implementation methodologies of a web-based medical information system that consists of DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) databases and functional components of a web server in order to support the access of medical information with Intemet web browser. we store the patient and image information to database using reading the group and element oJ DICOM file. we made file transfer module by implementing DICOM Store service, in result, we can transfer DICOM file to IF based host or computer. We compose web component of communications and Storage service, user be used DICOM Service by web Browser.

The principal purpose of this study is to analyse and critique how precisely the representation of women in the film Retrato de Teresa reconstructs the socio-cultural image of the female in the late seventies of Cuban society. The film of Pastor Vega is obviously an outstanding challenge on the new subject of 'women's liberation' against machismo in the context of the Cuban society. Teresa, the female character, as a socio-cultural image of the Cuban society don't focuses on the declarative and iconic images of the women's role as a revolutionary heroin that had appeared frequently in the films of the sixties, but she struggles for getting more realistic and pragmatic values such as women's emancipation to take rights in daily life. Therefore, the declaration of the emancipation of Teresa against machismo of her husband $Ram{\acute{o}}n$ has the special and symbolic meanings of social role and function of the film in the process of Cuban cultural revolution. The film concentrates on inducing the audience to make new perspectives such as women and gender issues in the daily experience of Cuban society where the machista ideologies and practices characteristic of a patriarchal society. Conclusively the female image of this film does not represent a national heroin, but reflects the women's desire, hope, and dreams in the society. Teresa makes the audience think of representations of the true meanings of the revolution in daily life, the machista ideologies in the patriarchal society, and the women's role and fuction in the Cuban society.
