Guarini's architectural contribution has simply focused on the dome structure that has been known to us; however, his geometric and spatial construction has been overlooked so far Through this study, it has been demonstrated that the dome structure was simply part of geometrical forms that Guarini wanted to express ultimately and it functioned as a geometrical element such as the network combined with the entire spatial structure. The purpose of this study is to reevaluate Guarini's architectural thought by means of investigating the ultimate principles of spatial composition appeared in the late Baroque architecture through the analysis of the principles of spatial composition and organized formal Idioms by Guarini's geometrical concepts. Besides, it has been assumed that such geometrical concepts by Guarini's mathematical proportion and his reiteration and change of diagrams could be clearly distinguished from the Classical geometry in the Renaissance and Guarini. suggested a way to create a new space through more active and amusing application and transformation. In this aspect, Guarini's principles of geometric composition will be one of the role models that need to be seriously reconsidered in chaotic reality of modern architecture.
From ancient to modern architecture, the light in the architecture spaces as the only changing factor, was the most important theme contributing vitality to the space and judging its character and expression. The efforts, to acquire both natural-physical light and internally experienced spiritual-supernatural light, had been revealed in several ways of the architecture from the ancient architecture. It was the main issues on the christian architecture. In this study, 1 have intended to determine how the light, the most important factor on the christian architecture symbolizing the blessing of God and forming the pious and restrained spaces has been expressed in the church spaces. For this purpose, I have compared and analysised the examples of the using the light, to the arts of the modern maestros of architecture and newly constructed churches in Korea on the way of light input pattern by the shape of windows. The results from the examples show that the most outstanding point of the modern christian architecture compare to the past, is that the natures of the inputted light has many diversities by the architects. And I reached the fact that the constructers by their own will to acquire the intended light, they are chose progressive light expressing methods through the shape of windows.

Within a short period of time of evangelical activities in Korea, the Korean Christianity has been explosively grown since 1884. Now Korea became one of the top countries exporting many missionaries to other countries. We call the 1970s and after as the time of diversity in Korean churches and those buildings. In this period, Korean churches have grown larger and bigger, so called mega-churches. Including Yoido Full Gospel Church, Seoul with 10,000 seats, there are 22 mega-churches in Korea out of the world top 50 mega-churches. Having the necessity of knowing the composition of worship space of mega- or super-mega-churches, we analyzed and classified the information of mega-churches which were built after 1970s. We collected resources through blueprints, visitations of buildings, and interviews by phone, For this study and research, we selected total 66 churches. Based upon the existing theories, we categorized the plane of worship space, its axis, the arrangement of attendant seats, the location of the choir, and the pattern of a cross section of buildings. We also brought the conclusion of specific characteristics given through the analysis according to the time period, the style, and the denomination of megachurches.
In recent years, as selling books on the internet becomes popular, the number of off-line bookstores are rapidly dwindling away. This change on the book market requires, the function and space of the bookstores should be defined again. Now bookstores are the places of experiences on cultures, world-views, and lifestyles around books. The study examines six large bookstores and finds three strategies of space expression as follow. First, Dominicanen bookstore in Maastricht which was built as a church has an expression which contrasts the old and the new as well as the sacred and the profane. Fangsuo bookstore in Chengdu creates a modern underground Sutra Depository. Here, people experience history and religion. Second, Cook & Book in Brussels has nine theme areas, each with a different selection of books, different interior decoration and special food and beverage like a theme park. Zhongshu bookshop in Shanghai has a lattice of nine reading rooms in which each unique design theme is characterized based on each book subject. Third, Cultura Bookstore in Sao Paulo is created to support social interchange. It leads people to the enormous plaza of books where people read books freely and participate in workshops, movies and all kinds of events. Daikanyama Tsutaya Books in Tokyo is composed of three white box-form pavilions which are connected by a 55-meter long aisle, called a magazine street. People walk along the street and choose concierge services as they browse magazines and books. The study finds out three strategies of design in current large bookstores to promote place-experience, which are the story-telling of history and culture, the design of theme parks, and openness for public mingling like plazas and streets. Thus, the study suggests a new paradigm in the design of bookstores in this internet age.

The Seoul metropolitan government announced an open design competition for reconfiguring the annex building of the National Tax Service Building site on Sejong-daero as a space for citizens to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation. The site, built during the Japanese colonial period, has been in use ever since. This study, as one of the entries for the competition, described the strategy and design contents by drawing the concept and main points of the design through an analysis of the historical context of the site. As the guidelines instructed to consider the value of the Sejong-daero area and the cultural heritage through a comprehensive analysis, this study specified the site as a place connecting the past, present and future. Since the foundation of the Joseon dynasty, the Korean Empire and the Japanese colonial period, Sejong-daero has been a main site for important events and activities along with the change of the city structure. Jungdong, to the rear of the site, was a place for adopting new culture during the beginnings of modern Korea, while adjacent places like Duksugung, the Anglican church, and the Seoul City Council building have also been historic urban landscapes of the historical layers of time as the city has changed. When Gojong announced the Korean Empire, the city structure was remodeled with this site as the center along with Sogong-ro, Wongudan and so forth. In this study, public interest stated in the guidelines was focused and the relevance of the road and the plaza was considered from the view of an historic urban landscape by a comprehensive analysis with Sejong-daero as the center. The restoration of public interest was to be drawn as the concept of the object site by considering the current status and the change around the site and Jungdong at the rear. Returning the site to the public is ambiguous with the relevance of the restoration of public interest and as the symbol of the idea of the Korean Empire by Gojong's announcement. The object site, having the characteristic of being returned to the public, must ensure public interest and therefore the design strategy has been established with the keywords of openness, connection and void. As a result of a review of the alternatives, a plan for a square has an 8% slope, just as the original site does, and provides ramps for convenient access for all, including the disabled and the elderly, and is connected to the grounds adjacent. No construction is allowed at the terrace square of the Anglican church level and the main square connected to the pedestrian street, so a variety of modern city utilization can be done. The value of the site at which this design is aimed shall be given back to the public with the concepts of modern democracy, independence, and the vision of Gojong by reinterpreting the space from a modern viewpoint. This study focused on the processes of establishing a main concept and strategy rather than the content of the design details, and the suggestion is meaningful in that the design for the object site with historic backgrounds and the layers of time can continue to be grown.

The purpose of this study was to categorize the decorative characteristics of the Rococo Age, which displays the most glamorous and elegant decorative beauty, in architecture, interior decorations, paintings, and patterns, and to analyze these characteristics and graft them onto art masks in a modern way. Piece I is a mixed media piece that based its motif on the ceilings and pulpits of the German Vis Pilgrimage Church, which is representative architecture of the Rococo Age. It was glamorously produced using gold and cubic zirconia. Piece II is also a mixed media piece that borrowed its motif from the exterior and gazebo of the Sanssouci Palace in Germany, another representative piece of architecture from the Rococo Age, and it was produced to clearly display the image of the Sanssouci Palace, using emerald and ivory. Piece III applies the furniture trends of the Rococo Age. Curves in S and C shapes, which can often be found in Chinese furniture, along with dark backgrounds, common in portrait paintings, were applied to give a sense of weight and dignity. Piece IV is an application of the fabric patterns of the Rococo Age. Continuous patterns of flowers and greenery stems were drawn on the mask to recreate the fabric patterns of the age. Piece V used the painting 'Swing' of the Rococo Age as its inspiration. Lace and ribbon decorations were used to emphasize feminine beauty and express the loveliness of the woman that appears in the painting. Piece VI borrows from the painting 'Madame de Pompadour' of the Rococo Age and the clothing worn by Pompadour. This piece grafted colors and themes through the painting and expressed a fusion of the dresses of Pompadour and lace that is clearly displayed in the architecture, paintings, clothing, interior decorations, and patterns of the Rococo Age, along with the rocaille (asymmetrically shaped decorations that resemble clams), flowers, leaves, stems, and Chinoiserie styles. These motifs clearly display the decorative characteristics of the age and these were grafted them onto art masks, confirming that it is possible to create new designs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to generate empirical data regarding the usability of churches' convenience facilities for the elderly, while categorizing church architecture as intermediate, inner, sanitation, and other facilities. The generated data can be used for renovating or upgrading the existing churches' convenience facilities to match up the act on convenience promotion. Methods: Field studies were conducted for collecting the empirical data from 42 churches. Results: Specifically, intermediate and sanitation facilities were more urgent sections, needing serious improvement works for the elderly. In the inner facilities, 14 categories were counted as not-met(NM) or not-installed(NI) among total 26 categories. In the other facilities, 11 categories were found as not-met(NM) or not-installed(NI) among total 15 categories. Implications: The research results can be used as a checklist for the improvement of convenience facilities for the elderly in existing churches.

The purpose of this study is to understand what Le Corbuiser has intended on a panoramic landscape view through his modern architectural design. This paper is willing to improve that he considered both natural and local landscape scenery, when he designed architecture with drawing images. He designed various ways to see outside scenery and community culture through ribbon windows, piloti, architectural promenade, picture frame, and rooftop garden as the angle of view inside the building, 'designed landscape panorama' from his architecture. Therefore the contents of the study include the analysis of the local landscapes shown through his architecture by photograph, drawing of a real scenery, and his sketches with biology to find what he has intended. The following conclusions have three points. First, Le Corbuiser has a basic idea to bear a natural and local scenery from his architecture through five points of new architecture. Second, pilotis, ribbon windows, and roof garden with picture frame and architectural promenade are pathways of his architecture to see 'designed landscape panorama'. Third, it comes from his early architecture like Villa Savoye in 1920s to Couvent de Sainte Marie de la Tourette in 1950s, but Ronchamp church converts his idea on previous thoughts.

Objectives: The goal of the study was to investigate the clinical effects of amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (500+125 mg) with metronidazole 400 mg administered three times daily (Group I) versus azithromycin 500 mg administered once daily and with metronidazole 400 mg three times daily (Group II) for the prevention of postoperative infection following mandibular third molar surgical removal. Materials and Methods: The study design was a single-center prospective study. Patients who reported to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery between February 2015 and January 2017 for removal of mandibular third molar were screened, and 108 patients were chosen. One surgeon carried out all procedures. Patients were prescribed antibiotics until the two groups contained a similar number of cases. Results: Our data showed that Group II had fewer incidences of surgical site infection, but with no statistical significance. Conclusion: Although both treatments are used routinely after removal of the mandibular third molar, neither is significantly better than the other.

The compressor is used for many fields not only in the industrial sector, but also as a general household product. The energy consumption required for the compressor operation is very large. The reciprocation compressor is widely used as an air compressor. Regarding the reciprocating air compressor, the discharge of the gas compacted by the method of compressing the gas by using the oscillation of the piston is generated by the piston reciprocation 1 church 1 number. When compressing after compressing the air by the oscillation of the piston, the marine reciprocating air compressor is the vibration generated in the compressor and surrounding structure due to the energy of the generated inertia. If the effect of these harmful elements can be reduced, it supports the service of the vessel. In addition, accidents generated by the noise of the vibration can be prevented. Therefore, in this research, firstly, the structural analysis of the piston part was performed, the safety factor in all results was drawn based upon this, and the reliability of the interpretation was examined in order to create the optimal design for the air compressor.
