A study on the Biped Walking Robot applying a Gravity Compensator (중력보상기를 적용한 이족보행로봇 연구)

  • In this paper, the structure of a new gravity compensator was studied, and the biped walking robot applying a gravity compensator was presented to improve the performance of the robot. The robot had 13 degree of freedom and is driven by the joint actuator with the gravity compensator. Each leg of the robot is composed of six joints three joints at the hip, a joint at the knee, and two joints at the ankle. The leg of the robot was designed to support 74kg weight including 30kg payload thanks to the gravity compensator. The performance of the robot was presented by reducing the payload applied to the leg joint of the robot thanks to the gravity compensator.

  • 기존 무전극 황전등의 방전광은 500 nm 보다 짧은 파장에서 최대 세기를 가지기 때문에 푸른색을 띤다. 본 연구에서는 각각 588 nm, 671 nm. 767 nm에서 방전광을 발생하는 Na, Li, K를 메탈할라이드의 형태로 황 방전구에 첨가하여 황과 같이 방전시킴으로써 전체 방전광의 분광분포를 장파장으로 이동시켜 방전광을 좀더 온화한 색으로 조절코자 한다. 첨가한 세가지 종류 모두 무전극 황전등의 방전광을 온화한 색으로 바꿀 수 있었다.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to report chronic sciatica paitient with HIVD of L-spine who improveded by orthotics Methods: once we treated the patient with acupuncture, nagatives, chu-na after that added with orthotics, We compared each effect. The effect was evaluated by progress of symtoms and Visual Anlogue Scale Results & Conclusion :After treatment of orthotics sciatica was reduced in the score of VAS from 7to3.

  • The Fly-ash makes an Alumino-silicate gel when it mixes an alkali or a silicate solution. This Alumino-silicate gel is produced to the activation of an alkali silicate. And this act to the binder and makes a combine of particles. This study involved mechanical strengths of an Alumino-silicate Gel based the Fly-ash with an alkali solution. NaOH, KOH were utilized to an alkali solution. The alkali solution concentration was varied from 6 to 12M and the some added also the Meta-kaolin, Waterglass so that it made high the mechanical performance. Based on the experimental result, the compressive strengths increased as the quantity of the Meta-kaolin increased. And a mechanical strengths appeared according to the concentration of an alkali solution so that it was different. XRD, FT-IR have been used to characterize mechanical performance.

  • In this paper, wire electrochemical machining (Wire ECM) with ultra short pulses is presented. Platinum wire with $10{\mu}m$ diameter was used as a tool and 304 stainless steel was locally dissolved by electrochemical machining in 0.1M $H_{2}SO_4$ electrolyte. Wire ECM can be easily applied to the fabrication of arbitrarily shaped micro-grooves without tool wear. The change of machining gap according to applied pulse voltage, pulse on-time and pulse period was investigated and the optimal pulse condition for stable machining was obtained. Using this method, various micro-grooves with less than $20{\mu}m$ width were fabricated.

  • As the delay of the Kyungbu High Speed Railroad, HST should use conventional line through Daegoo to Pusan until the new railroad build. High speed railroad noise is one of the main causes of environmental impact. Whenever HST on conventional railroad line is planned or a housing project near an existing railroad is proposed, an estimate of the relevant noise levels is usually required. For this, it is necessary to Quantify those parameters that affect the railroad noise. This paper deals with an estimation of high speed railroad noise on conventional line.

  • In this study aluminium sulfate, Ca(OH)$_2$, K-R Slag and $Na_2SO_4$ were used as active admixtures and their concentration 1, 3, 5, 7 weight percent in cement. The physical properties of active admixtures cement mortar were investigated by flow test and compressive strength. It was found that the resulting active admixtures exhibited the higher compressive strength than OPC mortar up. From the test results, cement mortars added active admixture have a good fundamental property.

  • Microbial fuel cells (MFC) were operated with livestock wastes and PEMFC (Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells) MEA (Membrane and Electrode Assembly). OCV of MFC with mixtures of microbial was higher than that of MFC with single microbial. MFC using pig wastes showed highest OCV (540 mV) among cow waste, chicken waste and duck waste. And the power density of MFC using pig waste was $963mW/m^2$. Contamination of MEA with $Na^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, $K^+$ ion and impurities was the one cause for low performance of MFC during operation.

Quality Characteristics and Antioxidant Activities of Carrots Based on Pretreatment Conditions (전처리 조건에 따른 당근의 품질특성과 항산화 활성)

  • This study was undertaken to examine the quality characteristics of nonblanched carrots (CON) and carrots blanched in distilled water, 2% NaCl water and 2% citric acid at 100℃ for 3 minutes. This moisture contents of CON was the highest at 85.91%, whereas NT had the lowest moisture at 83.92% (p<0.01). Compared to CON values the L values of pretreatment groups were decreased whereas the b values were increased (p<0.001) A comparison of true retention (TR), revealed that NT had the highest TPC TR 101.04% and TFC TR 91.59% (p<0.001). β-Carotene contents were determined to be higher in NT (1.98 mg/100 g) and CT (1.94 mg/100 g) than in other groups, with highest levels obtained in NT (106.64%) (p<0.001). Examination of the DPPH and ABTS+ radical scavenging activities revealed that the NT group had maximum scavenging activity. The total bacterial count was determined to be 3.37 log CFU/g in the CON, whereas no microorganisms were observed in all the pretreatment groups. Our study indicates that blanching in 2% NaCl water is the most desirable in order to increase the biochemical content and nutrient preservation rate of carrots, and to inhibit the growth of microorganisms.

An Application Study of Six Sigma in Clinical Chemistry (6 시그마의 적용에 대한 연구)

  • The primary goal of six sigma is to improve patient satisfaction, and thereby profitability, by reducing and eliminating defects. Defects may be related to any aspect of customer satisfaction: high product quality, schedule adherence, cost minimization, process capability indices, defects per unit, and yield. Many six sigma metrics can be mathematically related to the others. Literally, six means six standard deviations from the mean or median value. As applied to quality metrics, the term indicates that failures are at least six standard deviations from the mean or norm. This would mean about 3.4 failures per million opportunities for failure. The objective of six sigma quality is to reduce process output variation so that on a long term basis, which is the customer's aggregate experience with our process over time, this will result in no more than 3.4 defect Parts Per Million(PPM) opportunities (or 3.4 Defects Per Million Opportunities. For a process with only one specification limit (upper or lower), this results in six process standard deviations between the mean of the process and the customer's specification limit (hence, 6 Sigma). The results of applicative six sigma experiment studied on 18 items TP, ALB, T.B, ALP, AST, ALT, CL, CK, LD, K, Na, CRE, BUN, T.C, GLU, AML, CA tests in clinical chemistry were follows. Assessment of process performance fits within six sigma tolerance limits were TP, ALB, T.B, ALP, AST, ALT, CL, CK, LD, K, Na, CRE, BUN, T.C, GLU, AML, CA with 72.2%, items that fit within five sigma limits were total bilirubin, chloride and sodium were 3 sigma. We were sure that the goal of six sigma would reduce test variation in the process.
