  • Analysis of characteristics in software vulnerabilities can be used to assess security risks and to determine the resources needed to develop patches quickly to handle vulnerability discovered. Being a new research area, the quantitative aspects of software vulnerabilities and risk assessments have not been fully investigated. However, further detailed studies are required related to the security risk assessment, using rigorous analysis of actual data which can assist decision makers to maximize the returns on their security related efforts. In this paper, quantitative software vulnerability analysis has been presented for major Web browsers (Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox (FX), Chrome (CR) and Safari (SF)) with respect to the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS). The results show that, almost all the time, vulnerabilities are compromised from remote networks with no authentication required systems, and exploitation aftermath is getting worse.

  • In this study we tried to find the skin color of Koreans according to the change of seasons, and to the degree of make-up used by men and women. in order to furnish foundation data that could be used in the cosmetics and clothes industries. The skin color was measured with Minolta's Chrome Meter CR-200 in seven parts of the body with Munsell's hue, value, chroma. The difference in skin color in men and women's groups, and the difference in skin color of each group in March and in September were treated with SPSS's Anova and t-test. 1. In both seasons. March and September, a big difference could be observed between the two groups (men and women's). The body was more yellowish than the face. The men's group had a reddish skin color than the women's groups. In all groups we could observe a big difference in color between seasons, and in March, the skin was more reddish whereas in September, it became more yellowish. 2. As for the value, both in March and in September, the hairline was darkest, and the lightest areas were the jaw and the inner arm which showed a similar value. The group of women who put on make-up had the highest value, whereas the men's group showed the lowest result in value. We suppose it to be due to the fact that Putting on make-up prevented the melanin pigmentation by blocking the UV rays. 3. We could observe the highest value in chrome in the chin area both in March and in September, and there was no significant change. There was a difference in men and women's groups, but not a significant one within the women's groups.

Wear behaviors of HVOF spray coating of Co-alloy T800

  • HVOF thermal spray coating of Co-alloy T800 is progressively replacing the classical hard coatings such as chrome plating because of the very toxic $Cr^{6+}$ ion known as carcinogen causing lung cancer. For the study of the possibility of replacing of chrome plating, the wear properties of HVOF Co-alloy T800 coatings are investigated using the reciprocating sliding tester both at room and at an elevated temperature of $1000^{\circ}F\;(538^{\circ}C)$. The possibility as durability improvement coating is studied for the application to the high speed spindles vulnerable to frictional heat and wear. Wear mechanisms at the reciprocating sliding wear test are studied for the application to the systems similar to the sliding test such as high speed spindles. Wear debris and frictional coefficients of T800 coatings both at room and at an elevated temperature of $1000^{\circ}F\;(538^{\circ}C)$ are drastically reduced compared to those of non-coated surface of parent substrate Inconel 718. This study shows that the coating is recommendable for the durability improvement coatings on the surfaces vulnerable to frictional heat. The sliding surfaces are weared by the mixed mechanisms such as oxidative wear, abrasion by the sliding ball slurry erosion by the mixture of solid particles and small drops of the melts and semi-melts of the attrited particles cavitation by the relative motions among the coating, sliding ball, the melts and semi-melts. and corrosive wear. The oxide particles and the melts and semi-melts play roles as solid and liquid lubricant reducing the wear and friction coefficient.

  • This study is to measure and compare the hardness and tensile strength of each time after we recast seven times continually only with and metal alloy Chromium-Cobalt alloy used in the production of partial denture frame work. The result of the experiment were as follow; 1) The result of the hardness measurement The result of the first casting was $490.48{\pm}38.38$ and that of the second recasting was $455.18{\pm}35.61$ and form the third recasting. the result were $518.38{\pm}37.68$ and over. The change of the hardness difference between each recasting was as follow; The hardness difference between the first casting and the second recasting was $35.25{\pm}31.93$ and that between the second recasting and the third recasting was $63.20{\pm}54.02$. There was a statistically significant difference(P<0.01) in the above hardness, however, there was little difference on the whole. And after the third recasting, the hardness grew high a little bit. That is why low-melting metals such as Cr, Mn, Cu of alloy ingredient was evaporated or there was an effect of changes in metal crystal structure, I suppose. 2) The result of the tensile strength measurement. There was a statistically significant difference(P<0.01) between the first casting and the second, the fourth recasting, however. there was little difference in general.

The properties and wear behavior of HVOF spray coating layer of Co-alloy powder

  • High velocity of oxy-fuel (HVOF) thermal spray coating is progressively replacing the other classical hard coatings such as chrome plating and ceramic coating by the classical methods, since the very toxic $Cr^{6+}$ ion is well known as carcinogen causing lung cancer, and the ceramic coatings are brittle. Co-alloy T800 powder is coated on the Inconel 718 substrates by the HVOF coating procesess developed by this laboratory. For the study of the possibility of replacing of chrome plating, the wear properties of HVOF Co-alloy T800 coatings are investigated using the reciprocating sliding tester with a counter sliding SUS 304 ball both at room and at an elevated temperature of $1000^{\circ}F\;(538^{\circ}C)$. The possibility as durability improvement coating is studied for the application to the high speed spindles vulnerable to frictional heat and wear. Wear mechanisms at the reciprocating sliding wear test are studied far the application to the systems similar to the sliding test such as high speed spindles. Wear debris and frictional coefficients of T800 coatings both at room and at an elevated temperature of $538^{\circ}C$ are drastically reduced compared to those of non-coated surface of Inconel 718 substrates. Wear traces and friction coefficients of both coated and non-coated surfaces are drastically reduced at a high temperature of $538^{\circ}C$ compared with those at room temperature. These show that the coating is highly recommendable far the durability Improvement coating on the surfaces vulnerable to frictional heat and wear.

최적 고속화염용사코팅 공정기술에 의하여 제조된 WC-CoCr 코팅의 마모 특성 (Wear Property of HVOF WC-CoCr Coating Manufactured by Optimal Coating Process)

  • Thermally sprayed tungsten carbide-based powder coatings are being widely used for a variety of wear resistance applications. The coating deposited by high velocity processes such as high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying is known to provide improved wear resistant property. In this study, optimal coating process (OCP) is obtained by the study of coating properties such as surface hardness, porosity, surface roughness and microstructure of 9 coatings prepared by Taguchi program for 3 levels of four spray parameters. The Friction and wear behaviors of HVOF WC-CoCr coating prepared by OCP, electrolytic hard chrome (EHC) plating and Inconel718 (In718) are investigated by reciprocating sliding wear test at $25^{\circ}C$, $450^{\circ}C$. Friction coefficients (FC) of all of the 3 samples are decreased as increasing sliding surface temperature from $25^{\circ}C$ to $450^{\circ}C$. FC of WC-CoCr decreases as increasing the surface temperature from $0.33{\pm}0.02$ at $25^{\circ}C$ to $0.26{\pm}0.02$ at $450^{\circ}C$, showing the lowest FC among the 3 samples. Wear trace (WT) and wear depth (WD) of WC-CoCr are smaller than those of EHC and In718 both at $25^{\circ}C$ and $450^{\circ}C$. These show that WC-CoCr is highly recommendable for protective coating on In718 and other metal components.

  • 화학약품(化學藥品)에 의(依)한 목재(木材)의 정색반응(呈色反應)을 이용(利用)하여 지피조성용(地被造成用), 사료자원, 밀원자원, 공예자원, 및 섬유자원으로서 중요시 되고 있는 우리나라의 싸리 속(屬) 중에서 다음 7 수종(樹種)에 대한 분류상(分類上)의 식별점(識別點)을 조사(調査)하였다. (1) Lespedeza bicolor Turcz 싸리 (2) Lespedeza bicolor var. melanantha(Nak.) T. 코발트 크롬 합금의 주조성에 미치는 타이타늄의 효과 (The Effect of Titanium on the Castability of Cobalt-Chrome Alloy)

  • 연구의 목적은 타이타늄이 함유된 코발트 크롬의 주조성에 타이타늄이 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 평가하기 위함이다. 원재료에는 코발트, 크롬, 몰리브덴, 실리콘, 망간, 탄소, 질소, 티타늄이 사용되었고 이것들을 정량계량하였다. $Biosil^F$ (Degudent, Germany)를 대조군으로 하였고, 실험군에는 티타늄을 1 wt% 에서 4 wt% 까지 각기 다른 함량으로 첨가하여 주조성을 평가하였다. 왁스 패턴은 $30{\times}40$ cm 크기의 직사각형 모양으로, 총 160개의 격자를 함유하고 있다. 원심주조기 (Neutrodyne Easy Ti: Manfredy)를 사용하여 왁스패턴을 주조하였다. 주조성의 평가는 왁스패턴의 4면이 완전한 격자의 수를 육안과 X-ray를 이용하여 검사하였다. 1 wt%에서 3 wt%의 티타늄을 함유한 금속은 대조군과 비슷한 주조성을 나타냈다. 4 wt%의 티타늄을 함유한 금속은 좋지 않은 결과를 보였다. 4 wt% 미만의 티타늄 함유한 실험군의 주조성은 대조군과 비슷하면서도 기계적인 물성은 증가됨을 보였으며 임상에서의 성공적인 사용을 가능케 한다.

보물 제326호 이충무공유물의 과학적 보존 (Conservation of Chungmugong's Artifacts)

  • 아산 현충사에 전시중인 보물 제326호 이충무공유물은 장검 2점, 옥로 1점, 요대 1점, 도배 구대 2점으로 구성되어 있다. 이 유물은 장시간의 전시로 표면에 먼지가 많이 고착되었으며 금속이 부식되어 과거의 빛깔을 잃어버리고 있었다. 2011년 4월 28일 "충무공이순신기념관"을 개관하기 위한 준비 과정에서 유물의 상태점검 결과 보존처리가 필요하다고 판단하여 2011년 3월부터 4월까지 2개월에 걸쳐 보존처리를 실시하였다. 보존처리에 앞서 유물에 대한 분석을 실시한 결과 칼자루 붉은 색 안료 및 흑칠, 칼 도신 붉은 색 안료 등은 근래에 수리를 한 것을 확인하였다. 제작 당시의 것으로 추정되는 붉은 색 안료는 석간주(Hematite)이나 후대에 칠한 안료는 주사와 연단이 혼합된 안료이다. 칼 도신의 붉은 색 안료는 황연(Chrome Yellow, $PbCrO_4$)이다. 또한 비파괴 분석을 통해 칼 장식의 재질, 요대의 도금방법, 도배 구대의 재질 등을 확인하였다. 보존처리는 훼손 우려가 있는 부분에 대한 보존처리를 통해 안정한 상태로 전시될 수 있도록 하였다.

서울에 유통 중인 해산 어류의 부위별 중금속 분석 (Contents of heavy metals in marine fishes, sold in Seoul)

  • 서울시내에 유통 중인 대형어류 17종 89건에 대하여 원자흡광광도계(AAS) 및 수은분석기 등을 이용하여 납, 카드뮴, 수은, 크롬, 구리, 비소 함량을 근육, 간 및 아가미 등의 부위별로 분석하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다($Mean{\pm}SD$, mg/kg). 어종별 평균 중금속 함량은 Hg $0.08{\pm}0.01mg/kg$, Pb $0.17{\pm}0.32mg/kg$, Cd $0.34{\pm}0.07mg/kg$, Cr $0.05{\pm}0.05mg/kg$, Cu $1.14{\pm}0.13mg/kg$, As $0.24{\pm}0.22mg/kg$ 이었다. 부위별 유해 중금속의 전체적인 측정치를 살펴보면 중금속과 어종에 상관없이 간의 측정치가 가장 높게 나타났다. 나라별 중금속을 비교한 결과 Hg, Pb, Cu는 뉴질랜드산, Cd, As는 노르웨이산, Cr은 국내산 어류의 평균함유량이 다른 나라 어류보다 다소 높은 측정치를 보였으나, 자연함량수준으로 오염의 가능성은 없다고 생각된다. 기준초과로 검출된 어종은 일본에서 수입된 황돔으로 두 건이었다. 어류의 간과 근육 부위 중금속 함량 간의 상관관계는 Hg (r=0.989, p<0.01), Pb (r=0.978, p<0.01), Cd (r=0.991, p<0.01), Cu (r=0.998, p<0.01), As (r=0.198, p<0.05)에서 상관관계를 나타냈으며, Cr (r=0.082)은 유의적 상관관계가 인정되지 않았다.
