The purpose of this study is to investigate the ways in which cultural beliefs influence the lifestyles of the residents and environmental activities, especially decorations on the fronts during holiday seasons. The relationship between holiday displays and cultural values are investigated in the study. This research conducts a case study of two ethnic neighborhoods to understand cultural identification, attachments and environmental decoration. The neighborhoods were visited and their activities were observed during the holidays including Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas from 1992 to 1995. Exterior decorations were measured by a field survey of the frontal areas of 200 houses. This study confirms that the fronts are recognized and evaluated as cultural communications. The holiday decorations and celebrations are intimately related to cultural dimensions. Distinctive groups use different environmental elements in the celebration of holidays. Each culture is distinguished by its own rituals constituted by the interweaving of space and activities.

Gift giving is usually conducted at festive days, Christmas or Parent's day. When consumers purchase gifts, they have some troubles about efficiency and economy of gifts. The issues about gifts purchase also involve the conceptualizing and establishing evaluative measure of gifts. In order to solve some problems concerning to gift giving, it is necessary to define the concept of gift giving above all. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to establish the concept of gift giving in heop of the study of anthropology and sociology about the beginning of gifts. And it attempts to review on gift giving in the field of consumer behavior. So, first this article proposes that the core concept of gift giving is a reciprocity. It means the obligatory system performed among small groups or individuals. Second, in order to analize the gift giving process, it needs to involve important variables-gift occasion and motivation of gift giving, and intimacy relationship.

By analyses of lullabies, nursery rhymes, Christmas carols, and pop songs, the relevances of beat, syllable and note are set up as follows. (1) The relevance of beat to syllable a. A stressed syllable can occupy a strong beat. b. A monosyllabic word carrying a strong beat must have the syllabic structure of a strong syllable. (2) The note duration a. The duration of a note carrying a strong beat tends to be as long as or longer than that of a note carrying a weak beat. b. The note connected with the last position of phonological unit tends to be longer than that of other position without regard to the syllabic structure.

본 연구는 "포항분지 해상 소규모 $CO_2$ 주입실증 프로젝트"의 일환으로 경상북도 포항시 영일만에 설치된 해상 플랫폼에서 $CO_2$ 주입 실증을 위한 주입정 시추 및 완결(well drilling and completion)을 수행하였다. 주입정 시추(well drilling)는 포항분지 해상지역 퇴적지층에 설치한 해상플랫폼의 상부부터 해저면까지 케이싱 설치를 시작으로 단계별로 굴진 공경을 축소하면서 케이싱 설치 및 시멘트 그라우팅(cement grouting)을 시행하며 진행하였다. 최종심도 816.5 m 까지 공경 4 7/8 inch (${\Phi}124mm$) 규격으로 굴진하여 심도 746.5~816.5 m 구간에 유공 케이싱을 설치하여 주입구간을 형성하였다. $CO_2$ 주입을 위한 주입공 완결(well completion)을 위하여 주입관, 패커(packer), 주입탑(christmas tree)을 설치하였다. 주입공을 완결하고 주입 플랜트 설비를 설치하여 $CO_2$ 시험 주입을 성공적으로 수행하였다. 현재의 주입설비는 100톤 규모의 소규모 주입 실증을 위한 설비로서 향후 주입설비 격상을 통하여 총 1만톤의 중규모 실증 주입설비로 추가적인 연구개발을 진행하고 있다.

본 연구는 공동주택 단지에 온실 형태의 EVERGREEN PARK를 도입하기 위하여 진행하였으며, 단순한 관상을 위한 온실이 아닌, 주민의 적극적인 참여와 활용을 목표로, 사계절 내내 이용 가능한 외부 공간의 구심점으로서 주민의 편의와 유익한 서비스를 제공하고자 하였다. 계획의 주안점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아열대 식물들은 상록활엽성 식물들로 사계절 녹음을 유지하고, 잎의 육질이 두껍고 윤택이 많다. 이런 상록활엽수들이 주 수종인 아열대 식물용 온실을 온대지방에 도입하여 독특하고 고급스런 상록수림을 온대지방 사람들이 이용할 수 있도록 계획하였으며, 최고급의 상록식물상을 매우 저렴한 유지관리 비용으로 이용자들에게 제공할 수 있도록 계획하였다. 둘째, 공동주택단지 내에 도입한 아열대 식물용 온실은 지하연계구조형과 독립 구조형으로서 가온설비 없이 조성하여 지열을 이용하며, 차광 등의 방법을 이용하도록 제시하였다. 셋째, 활용방안으로서 (1) 건강과 휴식(Evergreens, 허브가든, 수 공간), (2) Community와 교육(식물벼룩시장 및 식물병원, 식물관련강좌(전시회), 체험학습프로그램), (3) Vine Garden 등의 운영프로그램을 제시하였으며, 나비축제, Aroma festival, Smile Oak Nuts, 촛불축제, Christmas! Photo Site 등의 4계절 이용방안을 제시하였다. 넷째, 온실의 운영 유지관리는 주민이 중심이 되는 주민차치회 중심 운영관리와 외부전문업체 중심 운영관리의 방안을 제시하였다.

이 연구는 높은 비용이 지불에도 불구하고 크리스마스 케이크 판매촉진의 수단 (광고, 선물 무료)으로 활용하는 마케팅 커뮤니케이션 전략의 장기적 효과에 대해 실증적 분석 하였다. 이러한 검증 결과는 베이커리 업계의 성공적인 관리를 위한 중요한 핵심 요소를 제공할 것으로 판단하였다. SPSS, AMOS를 활용하여 평가 항목에 대한 신뢰성 분석, 타당성 분석을 하였고, 가설 검증을 위해 구조방정식(SEM)이 수행되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 광고 태도(${\beta}$=0.269, t=4.512, p<0.001)와 사은품 태도(${\beta}$=0.293, t=5.043, p<0.001)는 신뢰에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 둘째, 신뢰도는 구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다(${\beta}$=0.513, t=8.677, p<0.001). 셋째, 광고 태도(${\beta}$=0.104, t=1.966, p<0.05)와 사은품 태도(${\beta}$=0.204, t=3.817, p<0.001)는 구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 광고 태도는 광고타입(배우와 애니메이션)에 따라 다르게 나타났고, 배우 광고가 애니메이션 광고보다 더 높게 평가되었다. 또한 사은품 태도는 사은품 타입(목도리와 스피커 인형/캐릭터 모자)에 따라 다르게 나타났고, 목도리가 스피커 인형/캐릭터 모자보다 높게 평가 되었다.

In Brazil canned 'Biuti' peach is a very popular form of this sub-tropical fruit. This production represents an important economic agro-activity in Minas Gerais, Brazil during the summer period, in preparation for the Christmas celebrations. The aim of this work was to characterize the 'Biuti' peach polyphenoloxidase (PPO), since peach products show enzymatic oxidation of the polyphenols by oxidative enzymes, which affects the products during their shelf life. Two different hypothesis for the browning problem in processed peaches were studied: the inadequacy of the blanching treatment and the presence of a latent phenolase in the peaches. The PPO was characterized: pH optimum (5.5) and stability (5.5-6.5); optimum temperature at $20^{\circ}C$ and 80% of the activity retained after 30 min at $15-40^{\circ}C$. The test for the presence of latent PPO in the processed and canned peaches was negative. Ascorbic acid, ${\beta}$-mercaptoethanol, sodium metabisulfite, and cysteine were efficient in inhibiting the PPO.

본 연구는 앞서 발표된 '교합이 악구강계 및 전신에 미치는 영향 (I), (II)'에서 연결되는 세 번째 논문으로 교합과 악구강계 및 전신 증상과의 관계를 다루고 있는 다섯 가지 주요 이론 중 두 가지인 Chirodontics, Dental Distress Syndrome and Quadrant Theorem에 관한 내용이다. 앞서 발표되었던 논문과 비슷한 방식으로 각각의 이론에 대한 역사적 배경과 정의, 기본 개념과 치료방법 및 그 한계에 대하여 보고하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study of was to provide basic data for preparing event menus to increase customer's satisfaction by investigating university students' participation and preference for the event menus in the foodservice operations. The questionnaires were distributed to 300 customers from August 1 to 31, 2005. 88.0% of the questionnaires were analyzed. Statistical analysis of data was performed using SAS package program(version 8.2) for descriptive analysis and $χ^2$-test, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan multiple range test. The results of this study can be summarized as follows : 50.4% of the students have participated in foodservice operation's event and the average degree of the satisfaction was 2.67 out of 5. The type of the events customers have most frequently participated in were the national holiday·subdivisions of the season event(47.3%), the day event(34.1%), environment event(26.9%) and so on. In large classification, preferred were season event(85.2%), international food event(76.9%), and healthy food event(73.1%) and so on. In small classification, orgarnic food event(53.0%), summer fruits festival(41.3%), midsummer event(36.6%) and christmas event(34.4%) and so on. From now on, the event reflecting customers' expectation and requirement should be planned and implemented.
