Preparation and Optical Characterization of Photonic Crystal Smart Dust Encoded with Reflection Resonance (반사공명으로 인코딩된 광결정 스마트 먼지의 제조방법 및 광학적 특징)

  • Photonic crystals containing rugate structures from a single crystalline silicon wafer was obtained by using a sinoidal alternating current during an electrochemical etch procedure. Photonic crystals were isolated from the silicon substrate by applying an electropolishing current and were then made into particles by using an ultrasonic fracture in an ethanol solution to give a smart dust. Smart dusts exhibited their unique nanostructures and optical characteristics. They exhibited sharp photonic band gaps in the optical reflectivity spectrum. The size of smart dust obtained was in the range of 10-20 nm.

  • Polymerization of vinyl monomers is promoted by thianthrene cation radical as a part of our research concerning the reactions of various agents with readily isolable, yet highly reactive species and elucidate the biological activity. Thianthrene cation radical initiated the homopolymerization and copolymerization of styrene and ethyl vinyl ether. The polymerization yields decreased as the concentration of phenylacetylene or diphenylethylene increased. Such polymereization by cationic thianthrene radical could provide some clues for the reaction in living animals. Comments on possible polymerization mechanisms were suggested.

  • Since the Japanese colonization,\ulcornerThe Architectural Association of Chosun(AAC)\ulcornerwas founded by the Japanese architects residing in Chosun. It is necessary to study the house related activities of this AAC as the process of modernization of Korean houses. As research materials,\ulcorner Chosun and Architecture\ulcornerwas used and the main concern of this research was based on competition of house design which were published in the magazines. There were four competitions which reflected the activity background of AAC with the social circumstances at that time and the research was done especially on the definite situation of the competition of house design. Also, the prize winning works were analyzed accordingly.

  • 본 논문에서는 소형 큐브위성의 전력시스템 구성품의 용량 및 위성의 운용로직을 설계할 수 있는 소프트웨어 테스트베드 설계 방법을 제시한다. 기존 초소형 인공위성 시스템 설계를 위한 소프트웨어가 개발되어 상용품으로 판매되고 있으나, 주로 자세제어 시스템의 제어기 설계를 위해 소프트웨어가 사용되고있고, 텍스트기반 복잡한 구조로 되어있어 본 논문의 목적인 전력계 구성품 용량 및 운용로직을 설계하는데 이를 활용하기 어려운 측면이 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 전력시스템의 구성품들을 전력 및 에너지 방정식으로 모델링하여 Matlab/Simulink에서 이를 구현함으로써 가독성을 높여 시스템 설계 및 분석 시간을 줄일 수 있는 소프트웨어 테스트베드 설계방법을 제시한다. 제안된 소프트웨어 테스트베드를 이용한 3리터 사이즈의 소형 큐브위성 시스템의 구성품 용량 및 운용로직 설계 결과를 본 논문에서 제시한다.

The Optimal Release Time in Cost Model Using PCLS Model

  • The basic goal of software development is to produce high quality software at low cost. Therefore, when to stop software testing and release the software product is a significant point in the software development. The software cost model is an effective tool used to help software developers control costs and determine the release time. In this paper, we discuss the cost model to apply all 6 models with consideration of time to remove errors, cost of removing each error and risk cost due to software failure. We show the impact of cost coefficients and parameter values on the expected total cost by changing the values and comparing the optimal release times.

  • Efficient synthetic route to novel 4'-fluorinated 5'-deoxythreosyl phosphonic acid nucleosides was described from glyceraldehyde using Horner-Emmons reaction in the presence of triethyl ${\alpha}$-fluorophosphonoacetate. Glycosylation reaction of nucleosidic bases with glycosly donor 14 gave the nucleosides which were further phosphonated and hydrolyzed to reach desired nucleoside analogues. Synthesized nucleoside analogues 18, 21, 25 and 28 were tested for anti-HIV activity as well as cytotoxicity. Adenine derivatives 18 and 21 showed significant anti-HIV activity up to $100{\mu}M$.

  • Neutral line current is analyzed by the neutral line CF in nonlinear load balanced and unbalanced conditions. The worst nonlinear load condition is nonlinear balanced load condition. and It is below CFNL=1.194 that a neutral line current could not excess the rated value.

  • Most of all, DTC drive is very simple in its implementation because it needs only two hysteresis comparator and switching vector table for both flux and torque control. The amplitude of hysteresis band greatly influences on the drive performance such as flux and torque ripple and inverter switching frequency. In this paper the influence of the amplitudes of flux and torque hysteresis bands and sampling time of control program on the torque and flux ripples are investigated. Simulation results confirm the superiority of the DTC under the proposed method over the conventional DTC.
