The purpose of this study was to determine the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of cefuroxime axetil,　semisynthetic cefalosporin, for some putative periodotopathogens; F. nucleatum, A. actinomycetemcomitans P. intermedia and P. gingivalis. To investigate the efficacy of cefuroxime axetil, several antibiotics, amoxicillin, metronidazole, and ciprofoxacine, were used as control. The MIC was measured by Murray' s method. The MIC of cefuroxime axetil against some putative microbes, as a single use regimen, was relatively high in comparison with that of the other antibiotics used in this study. The MIC of cefuroxime axetil/metronidazole against some putative microbes, as a simultaneous regimen, was similar to that of the other antibiotics used in this study. The manimal level of cefuroxime concentration in gingival fluid was 9${\mu}$/ml at 36hr after the first dose. In conclusion, within the limited experiment, metronidazole/ cefuroxime axetil therapy of periodontitis may provide a therapeutic benefits in reducing the periodontopathogens.

This case report presents a case that underwent three-piece segmental maxillary osteotomy and sagittal split ramus osteotomy on a patient with severe facial asymmetry accompanied by maxillary prognathism, severe left scissor bite, and chin point deviation. The resulting facial appearance and occlusion were improved, thereby three-piece segmental maxillary osteotomy is regarded effective methed in treating severe facial asymmetry.

Ewing's sarcoma is a neoplasm of the undifferenciated small round cells, which generally affects the bone and deep soft tissues of children and adolescents. We present a case of gastric Ewing's sarcoma; a 35-year-old female who had no symptoms. While she was at a routine medical checkup, a protruding mass in her gastric antrum was incidentally found on esophagogastroduodenoscopy. Endoscopic ultrasonogram showed a submucosal mass on the same lesion and a laparosopic wedge resection was done. Pathologic gross findings showed a granular grape appearance tissue and histoloigc examination revealed a small round cell tumor with CD 99 immunoexpression positive. In general, a combined modality therapy for Ewing's sarcoma such as surgical resection with chemotherapy, is accepted as an effective method. However, this patient had no adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery and she has no recurrence for eleven months.

To point out the Confucian Influence in Chosun, we deal with religious ceremonies, the decline of drinking tea, the spread of dog meat and the development of nutrition for the aged. The result is follows. First, the chosun confucianism changed the Buddhist familty ceremonies of Koryeo period into the confucian cermonies formed by Chu-Tzu's influence. So, buddhist sacrificial table turned into confucian one which was more systematric and more formal on the basis of chosun culture of food. Second, Chosun confucian scholars shrank from drinking tea because tea was the symbol of Buddhism. As a result, our people came to drink " Sung-nyung(scorched-rce tea)" and the common people drank Maggeolli instead of syung-nyung. Furthermore, this resulted in developing some kind of beverages. third, the people of Chosun had little rejection to dog meat and it was popularized in Chosun, Dog maet was popular in Chinese countries, Chu. Chin. and early Han. Later, dong meat almost disappeared except the purpose if healing. the reason why people had little rejection to dong meat in Chosun was that Chosun Conflucianism was the revival of Chu. Fourth, Chosun's state religion was confucianism which emphasize filial duty, the basis of humanity. The gentry researched into medication and nursing I case their old parents got sick. As a result, nutrition for the aged was developed.
