Objectives : Weights and measures (度量衡) in Korean traditional medicine have been changed in many dynasties and countries. Thus, measurements of chon (寸) and cheok (尺) have been considered as symbolical meaning in recent studies on meridians and acupoints. The present study was made to settle up standard measurement by surveying length of each parts of upper limb as follows. Methods : To calculate length of 1 chon (寸), the length of each part was divided into the numbers of chon (寸) as shwon in ${\ll}$Goldo Hwangjenaegyeong-yeongchu (靈樞 骨度篇)${\gg}$; the chon (寸) length in ${\ll}$Goldo Hwangjenaegyeong-yeongchu (靈樞 骨度篇)${\gg}$ was compared with the chon (寸) length which is calculated by dividing human average hight into 75 chon. Results : Increment of length of 1 chon (寸) did not change as increment of height in subjects. Length of 1 chon (寸) in height is representative of length of 1 chon (寸) in each parts of upper limb. Conclusions : We suggest that most suitable length of 1 chon (寸)for the standard measurement of acupoint location is 2.20 ${\pm}$ 0.17 cm based on length of elbow joint to wrist joint.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for hospitalized children under the condition of painful procedure. Method: The data were collected from July 15th to Oct 30, 2003 from 68 hospitalized children suffer from acute disease, 68 mothers take care of children, 14 pediatric ward nurses. To evaluate the degree of pain perception of children, mothers & nurses, face pain rating scale and behavior characteristic were used. Result: The result were as follows. 1) The pain perception score of children, mothers & nurses. child perceived highest as the score of 3.60 2) The most frequent behavioral characteristic children were 'crying(47.1%)' mothers were 'soothing the child(54.4%)' and nurses were 'support not to move(52.9%)' 3) The degree of pain perception of children, mothers and nurses according to subjects' general characteristics and painful procedure, there were stastical difference according to children's age, mothers age and duration of painful procedure 4) There were significant correlation between the degree of pain perception and behavioral characteristics of children, mothers & nurses. Conclusion: Nurses should not underestimate children's pain and need to provide knowledge and information to the child and their parents regarding painful procedure.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to research whether Inyeong Chon spot pulse(人迎氣口脈) could be used on application of Ohaeng-acupuncture(五行鍼法). Methods : I research ${\ll}$Naegyeong${\gg}$(內經) and annotations were excerpted and record that notied the Inyeong Chon spot pulse(人迎氣口脈). Results : Comparison of Inyeong Chon spot pulse and Deficiency Excess syndrome of meridian system is useful to use Zheng Ge(正格) and Sheng Ge(勝格) of Ohaeng-acupuncture(五行鍼法) but in application of Han Ge(寒格) and Re Ge(熱格), Inyeong Chon spot pulse(人迎氣口脈) is not useful.

$YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ samples were fabricated by MPMG(Melt Powder Melt Growth). The effects of the $Y_2BaCuO_5$ and Ag addition on $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ were studied throuth the Jc, Tc and magnetization. For the application of the bulk HTSC to current limiter, fly wheel and current lead and so on, the critical charateristics were investigated and compared with the solid sintering method.

오늘날의 MMORPG 환경에서 수만~수십만 명의 유저들이 동시 접속하여 게임을 즐기고 있다. 수많은 인원이 같은 맵 상에서 활동하기 때문에 최근의 게임시스템들은 맵의 영역에 따라 유저를 분할하여 처리하고 있다. 이를 위해 맵 분할 시스템에 대한 연구가 다양하게 이루어지고 있으나 기존 맵 분할 시스템은 유동적인 유저들에 대해 대처하기엔 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 맵 분할 방법들에 대한 구조적 단점을 보완하고, 부하에 능동적으로 대처할 수 있도록 VML를 이용한 동적 맵 분할 방법을 제안한다.

오늘날의 MMORPG 환경에서 수만${\sim}$수십만 명의 유저들이 동시 접속하여 게임을 즐기고 있다. 수많은 인원이 같은 맵 상에서 활동하기 때문에 최근의 게임 서버들은 맵의 영역에 따라 유저를 분할하여 처리하고 있다. 이를 위한 방안으로 Seamless 게임 서버 방식이 이슈가 되고 있으며 이 방식에서는 PC의 서버간 이동시 필연적으로 지연이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이를 최소화하기 위해 MigAgent 를 이용하여 Field Server간 통신 및 PC와 Field Server간 통신을 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 방법을 제안한다.

히스토그램은 컬러 공간의 특징 때문에 조명에 매우 민감하며, 이동된 빛의 강도를 가지고 있을 때, 유사성을 떨어뜨릴 가능성이 커지기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 히스토그램의 영역을 몇 개의 영역으로, 나눠, 그 영역들을 계산하는 HAC(Histogram Area Calculation)라 불리는 새로운 검색 방법을 소개한다. 제안한 방식은 현재 히스토그램이 가지고 있는 특성에 기반 하여, 히스토그램의 영역을 계산하고, 유사사성을 matching 시킴으로써, 명암도 변화에 대해서 기존의 다른 전통적인 히스토그램 방법이나, 병합된 히스토그램 방법보다 제안한 방식의 성능이 훨씬 뛰어나다는 것을 보여준다.

최근 유비쿼터스에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있고 이에 대한 응용기술인 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) 기술을 사용하여 사용자가 편리한 삶을 살기 위한 기술이 늘어나고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이 중에 하나인 센서를 기반으로 한 블라인드 시스템에 대해서 기술한다. 이 스마트 블라인드는 빛의 양을 조도센서를 이용해 측정하여 자동적으로 동작하도록 제어하는 시스템을 적용한 스마트 블라인드에 대해서 기술했다. 사용자가 편리하도록 블라인드를 제어할 수 있는 시스템을 개발하고 실제 적용하는데 그 목적이 있고 이를 위해서 조도센서를 이용하여 빛 감지 후 빛의 양을 파악하고 그 데이터 값으로 모터를 동작시켜서 블라인드를 제어한다.
