청송광산의 동-연-아연 광화작용 (Cu-Pb-Zn Mineralization of the Cheongsong Mine)

  • Rocks in the Cheongsong mine area consist of Precambrian gneiss, Cretaceous sedimentry rocks and late Cretaceous quartz porphyry. The Cheongsong deposit is composed of many hydrothermal quartz veins of strikes $N30^{\circ}{\sim}60^{\circ}W$, dips $60{\sim}85^{\circ}E$ which fill WNW fault system. Pyrite and hematite occur within transparent quartz near margins of early stage II, and milky quartz of middle stage II coexists with sphalerite, chalcopyrite and galena coexisting with Cu-Pb-Bi minerals in center part of stage II quartz veins. Stage III calcite vein filled cracks or fractures of earlier quartz veins contains native copper and chalcopyrite. Supergene minerals are chalcocite, covellite, malanchite and chrysocolla. Alteration minerals are sericite, chlorite, argillite, epitode and pyrite. Ranges of salinities and homogenization temperatures for fluid inclusions in the individual periods of stage II are: 3.7 to 7.8 wt.% eq. NaCl and 200 to $380^{\circ}C$ in transparent quartz of early stage II; 0.7 to 6.4 wt.% eq. NaCl and 200 to $320^{\circ}C$ in milky quartz of middle stage II; 0.0 to 0.9 wt.% eq. NaCl and 250 to $320^{\circ}C$ in calcite of late stage II. Those of stage III calcite range about 0 wt.% eq. NaCl, and from 140 to $260^{\circ}C$, respectively. The relationship between salinities and temperatures shows decrease tendency with paragenetic time from stage II to III. The ${\delta}^{18}O_{H_2O}$ value is 0.5‰ in stage I, range from 0.5 to -0.4‰ in stage II, and from -3.2 to -3.7‰ in stage III. Calcite in the stage II and stage III has ${\delta}^{13}C$ values of -5.0‰ and -4.5 to -4.9‰, respectively. There is a decrease in sulfur fugacity values with paragenetic time of stage II, from $10^{-6.3}$ atm for early mineralization, to $10^{-6.5}$ atm for middle stage, to $10^{-8.0}$ atm for late mineralization of stage II. The results of stable isotope and fluid inclusion indicate that ore fluids reacted with meteoric water and wall rock in the Cheongsong hydrothermal system.

농촌지역을 위한 관리지역 세분기준의 개선방안 - 경북 청송군을 사례로 - (Some Suggestions to Improve the Criteria for Subdividing the Management Zone in a Rural Area - A Case Study of Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk -)

  • 본 연구는 농촌지역인 경북 청송군을 사례로 지방자치단체에서 자체적으로 적용한 관리지역 세분기준의 문제점을 실증적으로 분석하고 그 개선방안을 제안하고자 한다. 먼저, 도시관리계획 수립지침상의 세분기준과 청송군 세분기준을 비교하였다. 다음으로 지리정보시스템(GIS)을 이용하여 토지적성평가의 결과와 관리지역 세분결과를 비교하였고, 용도지역의 현황분석과 면적 비교를 통해 공간배치에 있어서 인근 용도지역과의 관련성도 검토하였다. 마지막으로 지도분석과 현장조사를 통해 실제 주변 토지이용상황과의 관련성을 검토하였으며, 민원인과 면담을 통해 관리지역 세분에 따른 민원사례를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 용도지역의 불완전한 정형화, 개발가능여부에 대한 판단기준의 미비, 관련부서의 편향적인 협의의견 등과 같은 청송군 관리지역 세분기준의 문제점을 도출하였고 이들에 대한 실증적 개선방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 농촌지역의 올바른 관리지역 세분방향을 제시하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

협채용 강낭콩의 채종기술 확립 (Technology of Good Quality Seed Production in Snap-bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.))

  • Pod-edible bean or snap bean is a fairly new crop to domestic farmers but the national demand is steadily increasing in recent years along with the development of western food business and change in dietary patterns. At the same time, much efforts are being made to export it to foreign country, mainly to Japan. The amount of seeds introduced from outside is also continuously increasing along with the enlargement of area planted for the crop. Hybridization breeding for the crop has already been started to supply the cheaper and better seeds which will reduce the seed costs and foster the higher income to the farmers. In this experiment, several technologies related with the production of quality seeds are preliminary investigated. Some of the results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. Highly significant interaction was recognized between planting dates and no. of pods per plant and no. of branches but no interaction between planting dates and plant height and no. of nodes on main stem. Days to maturity was proportionally reduced to later planting dates. 2. Rate of viviparous pods and seeds was gradually increased in later planting dates but rate of germination was increased in earlier planting dates with lower germination rate in white seed coat grains than in colored seed ones. 3. Seed yield was higher in the earlier planting dates with a great deal of varietal difference. Early to mid April was considered to he the optimum planting dates for snap bean in Kyungbuk area. High correlation was recognized between seed yield and no. of pods per plant, no. of seeds per plant, and 100 seed weight. 4. Days to flowering was three and seven days longer in Cheongsong, high mountainous area than in Kunwi, somewhat prairie lowland. One hundred seed weight was also higher in Cheongsong than in Kunwi. Rate of viviparous grains, pods, and decayed seeds was higher in Cheongsong but, at the same time, the rate of germination and seed yield was also higher in Cheongsong. 5. One hundred seed weight of KLG5007 increased continuously up to 35days after flowering and decreased thereafter but that of KLG50027 increased to 40days after flowering and slowly reduced thereafter. The content of crude oil reached to maximum at 40 days after flowering and reduced thereafter. The rate of germination in Gangnangkong 1 was the highest, 89.3%, at 35 days after flowering and reduced thereafter while that in KLG50027 reached to maximum, 70.7%. at 40days after flowering and reduced thereafter. Thus, the optimum harvesting time for snap bean was considered to be 35~40days after flowering. 6. The snap bean pods at yellow bean stage easily became viviparous ones under saturated moisture conditions for 24 hours at $25{\sim}30^{\circ}C$. Therefore, it is recommended to harvest pods somewhat earlier than yellow-bean stage and let them do post maturing, especially when it is to be rained.

국내에서 수집된 주요 왕포아풀(Poa pratensis L.)의 생육 특성 (Growth Characteristics of Korean Native Kentucky Bluegrass(Poa pratensis L.) Ecotypes)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the growth characteristics of native Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) collected in Korea. Out of Kentucky bluegrasses collected in 2000 and 2008, eight ecotypes ("Pyengchang," "Gongju," "Inje," "Donggang," "Hwasun," "Pureundle," "Cheongsong," and "Geumsan") were planted in experimental fields and pots on May 11, 2008 and May 3, 2009, respectively, for analyzing their growth characteristics. Data such as visual quality (1-9), visual density (1-9), visual color (1-9), plant height, leaf length and leaf width were analyzed. The visual quality of "Pyengchang," "Inje" and "Gongju" were enhanced compared to the rest native ecotypes of Kentucky bluegrass. "Pyengchang" showed the best visual density while "Gongju" and "Inje" showed almost evenly favorable density. However, "Pureundle," "Cheongsong," and "Geumsan" represented loose density due to the damage from the summer climate of high temperature and humidity in 2009. As for visual color, "Pyengchang" was also ranked first, maintaining high values of at least 7.6 even in the summer climate of high temperature and humidity. "Donggang" showed good color immediately after planting in the experimental field in 2008, however, undesirable color due to the damage from the summer climate of high temperature and humidity in 2009.

Comparison of Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Kalopanax pictus (Araliaceae) and its Thornless Variant Using RAPD

  • Kalopanax pictus is a long-lived woody species mostly distributed in East Asia. K. pictus has been regarded as medically and ecologically important species in Korea. Thornless castor aralia variant, local name 'Cheongsong' is an endemic to Cheongsong province in Korea. Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) was used to investigate the genetic variation and structure of Korean populations of two species. A high level of genetic variation was found in six K. pictus populations. Twelve primers revealed 49 loci, of which 29 were polymorphic (59.2%). Nei's gene diversity for K.pictus and K. pictus variant were 0.119 and 0.098, respectively. Mean of genetic diversity in K. pictus was higher than average values for species with similar life history traits. The asexual and sexual reproduction, perennial habitat, and longevity are proposed as possible factors contributing to high genetic diversity. An indirect estimate of the number of migrants per generation (Nm=0.857) indicated that gene flow was not extensive among Korean populations of K.pictus. It is suggested that the isolation of geographical distance and reproductive isolation between K.pictus and K.pictus variant populations may have played roles in shaping the population structure of this species.

An Exploratory Research on PCC Application of Crystalline Limestone: Effects of Limestone Crystallographic Characteristicson Hydraulic Activity

  • Quicklime(CaO) is generally obtained through the calcination of limestone, the main component of which is calcium carbonate($CaCO_3$). Quicklime generates high-temperature heat when reacting with water, forming slaked lime($Ca(OH)_2$). The industrial sectors for limestone are determined by the hydraulic activity of slaked lime, which is obtained by measuring temperature changes during the hydration reaction. Accordingly, this study examined the different crystallographic characteristics of limestone as affected by the geological origins of the regions where the limestones were produced, and how these characteristics affected hydraulic activity. Six limestone samples were collected from the Jecheon and Cheongsong areas and the hydraulic activities were measured in accordance with KS E 3077. The results indicate that limestone produced in the Cheongsong area, recrystallized through metamorphism caused by hydrothermal alteration, hada larger grain size of calcite than that of the Jecheon area, and displays a tendency of changing to marble. Limestone from the Cheonsong area showed more radical reaction in the early stage of hydration compared to that ofthe Jecheon area. In addition, it was revealed that limestone having more impurities like $SiO_2$ have lower hydraulic activity.

Assessing agricultural competitiveness of cities and counties in Gyeongbuk

  • The government of Gyeongbuk in Korea increased the financial input in the agricultural sector by 43% from 2008 through 2012. However, the productivity of the agricultural sector in Gyeongbuk rose only about 3.6% during the same period. This study evaluated the agricultural competitiveness of each city or county in Gyeongbuk using six evaluation indices (scale, productivity, finance input, location quotient, technical education, and total) and investigated the relationship between the indices and total values of agricultural productions. The results show that Sangju, Gyeongju, Andong, Uiseong, and Seongju have high competitiveness for the scale index. For the productivity index, Gimcheon, Mungyeong, Ulleung, Yeongju, and Seongju were highly evaluated. For the location quotient index, Yeongcheon, Uiseong, Cheongdo, Seongju, and Sangju have high competitiveness. Uiseong, Yeongdeok, Cheongsong, Gunwi, and Yeongyang were highly evaluated for the agricultural finance input index. For the agricultural technical education index, Chilgok, Sangju, Mungyeong, Uiseong, and Gyeongju have high competitiveness. Finally, Sangju, Euiseong, Yeongcheon, Gyeongju, and Andong were highly evaluated for the total competitive index, while Yeongdeok, Yeongyang, Goryeong, Uljin, and Cheongsong have a low competitiveness for the total competitive index. This study also found that out of five indices, scale, location quotient, and technical education indices have a positive and statistically significant effect on the total values of agricultural production. However, we did not find any statistically significant effect of the productivity and finance input indices on the total values of agricultural production. Hence, we can conclude that the government should focus their agricultural policy on scale, location quotient and education to improve total agricultural production.

20세기 중반 청송 지역의 고전소설·가사의 향유 양상 (A Study on the Enjoyment Modes of Classic Novels·Ga-Sa in Cheongsong of the Middle of the-20th Century)

  • 문학 작품은 그것을 향유하는 계층에 따라 향유 방식과 텍스트 등에서 다양한 모습을 보여주고 있다. 동시에 문학 작품의 향유 방식도 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화되었다. 그런데 현재처럼 언제 어디서든 자유롭게 문학 작품을 향유할 수 있는 것과 달리 20세기 중반 즉 1950~1960년, 1970년대까지 문학 작품은 누구나 다 향유할 수 있었던 것은 아니었다. 그것을 아는 방법은 실제 그 시대를 살았던 사람을 만나서 확인하는 것밖에 없을 것이다. 본고에서는 경북 북부 내륙 지역, 영덕과 울진의 사례 조사에 이어 청송지역에서는 고전소설이 어떻게 향유되었는지를 2015년 3월부터 2016년 7월까지 청송에서의 현지 조사를 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과 청송 지역은 고전소설 향유 양상에 있어 북부권과 남부권이 다소 차이를 보이고 있었다. 북부권이 반가의 양반이라는 나름의 자부심을 가지고 있으면서 가사나 고전소설의 향유층을 형성한 반면, 남부권에서는 반가나 동성의 집성촌이라는 의식을 찾을 수 없었을 뿐만 아니라 고전소설을 향유한 계층도 거의 없었다. 이는 사회 문화적인 문제와 경제적 이유가 어느 정도 작용한 것이 아닐까 한다. 그리고 청송 지역도 경북 북부의 다른 지역과 마찬가지로 고전소설과 가사에 대한 장르 인식에 따른 이중성을 엿볼 수 있었다. 그러나 경북 북부의타 지역과 달리 고전소설에 대한 거부감이나 가사에 대한 무조건적 자긍심 등이 눈에 띄게 드러나지는 않는다. 그 예로 청송 지역에서는 고전소설을 주로 향유한 계층에서는 고전소설 작품이 비교적 다양하게 읽히고 있었는데 비해 가사를 주로 향유한 계층에서는 작품의 다양성이 없었다는 점을 들수 있겠다. 가사는 겨우 <한양가> 정도만 거론되고 있었다. 고전소설의 향유에 있어서 송소고택과 찰방공종택은 같은 가문이고 동시에 이웃해 있으면서도 고전소설에 대한 인식을 달리 하고 있었다. 송소고택에서는 어른들이 고전소설을 비교적 자유롭게 향유할 수 있었기에 소설에 대해 부정적 시각은 가지고 있지 않았다. 그런데 찰방공종택의 경우 시어른들이 고전소설은 전혀 읽지 않았지만 가사는 직접 지어 읽을 정도로 적극적으로 향유했다. 이 두 사례는 같은 집안이면서도 고전소설에 대해 어떻게 다르게 인식하고 있는지를 보여주는 것이라 하겠다. 청송 지역의 고전소설 향유 양상에 대한 실증적 조사는 20세기 중반 고전소설이 어떻게 향유되고 있었는가를 아는 소중한 자료가 될 것이다. 아울러 현장 조사에서 일부 제보자들이 타계했거나, 혹은 나이가 많아서 기억을 잘 하지 못하는 점들을 고려해본다면 이러한 실증적 조사는 좀 더 일찍 이루어졌다면 하는 개인적 아쉬움도 없지 않다. 이제 고전소설의 향유 양상에 대해 기억할 수 있는 더 이상의 제보자들을 찾을 수 없다는 점에서 이 논문이 고전소설을 다양하게 연구할 수 있는 좋은 자료가 될 수 있기를 바란다.

우리나라 트라이아스기 화강암의 스위트/슈퍼스위트 분류 (Granite Suite and Supersuite for the Triassic Granites in South Korea)

  • 이 연구에서는 화강암 스위트와 슈퍼스위트의 개념을 사용하여 우리나라 트라이아스기 화강암을 대상으로 시공간적으로 밀접하게 관련된 화강암체들을 계층적으로 구분하였다. 옥천대(서부 영남육괴)의 트라이아스기 화강암 중에서 백록화강암과 점촌화강암은 하나의 백록 스위트로 지정되며, 청산 화강암은 청산스위트로 지정된다. 이 두 스위트는 근원물질의 유사성과 기재적 및 지구화학적 상이성 등으로부터 하나의 슈퍼스위트, 즉 백록 슈퍼스위트로 묶을 수 있다. 경상분지의 트라이아스기 화강암인 영덕화강암, 영해화강암, 청송화강암은 각각 독립적인 영덕 스위트, 영해 스위트, 청송 스위트로 지정된다. 이 세 스위트는 근원물질의 유사성과 기재적 및 지구화학적 상이성 등으로부터 하나의 슈퍼스위트, 즉 영덕 슈퍼스위트로 묶을 수 있다. 서부 영남육괴의 백록 슈퍼스위트와 경상분지의 영덕 슈퍼스위트는 Nd-Sr 동위원소 특징에서 아주 뚜렷한 차이를 보이는데, 이는 두 슈퍼스위트를 만든 화강암질 마그마의 근원물질이 서로 달랐음을 지시한다. 백록 슈퍼스위트는 그 근원물질이 영남육괴를 이루는 지각물질들 사이의 혼합으로 설명되는 반면, 영덕 슈퍼스위트의 근원물질은 결핍된 맨틀과 영남육괴 지각물질의 혼합으로 설명된다. 동시기 화성활동의 산물인 백록 슈퍼스위트와 영덕 슈퍼스위트에서 화강암질 마그마의 근원물질에 차이를 보이는 것은 마그마 생성의 장소가 지체구조적으로 상이하였음을 지시하는 것이다.
