Recently Internet addiction problem comes to fore as social issues. The phenomenon is increasing rapidly at elementary school life. In our paper, we are going to analysis the interrelation of the state of Internet addition and the school life. We make progress our research for elementary students in Chonan City. According to the poll, 45.4 percent of respondents were disrupted their studies from Internet. Also, 48.3 percent of respondents have difficulties related to the internet addiction.

This paper introduces the Cheonggye-cheon restoration project. The restoration project aims to revive the 600-year-old city of Seoul by recovering the historical heritage, guaranteeing safety from the deteriorated covering structures, creating the environment-friendly space, and revitalizing the neglected city centers. In order to understand the current hydrological cycle of the Chenggye-cheon watershed, the annual water balance of the region was calculated using the observed data including precipitation, runoff, water supply and sewage, and the changes in the groundwater level. The $2001{\sim}2002$ data were used to calibrate the WEP, and the $2003{\sim}2004$ data were used to verify the WEP. The calibration and validation results for the flood hydrograph how a reasonable value (at Majanggyo station, the R2 for the calibration period was 0.9, and that for the validation period was 0.7). According to the annual water balance of the Cheonggye-cheon watershed for 2004, the amount of surface runoff, infiltration, and evapotranspiration was 1,097mm, 216mm and 382mm, respectively, for an annual precipitation of 1,499mm. The application results from WEP, a distributed hydrological model, provide more detailed information of the watershed, and the model will be useful for improving the hydrological cycle in urban watershed.

The population of Daegu, the third biggest city in Korea, is two point six million. Daegu is known as a basin or a city where it is not only too hot in summer but also too cold in winter. Recently with redevelopment apartment house boom, a 40-story or more apartment complexes are under construction near Shin-cheon and Dondaegu-ro, the south-north axis of Daegu. It is necessary to raise several points about blocking a road of the wind by high-rise apartment buildings and apartment complexes. As a kind of the green policy, Daegu enlarge the distance between apartment building by reconstructing low-rise apartment into high-rise and impose a duty of a green space on the ground by making a parking zone into an underground. Through this process, apartment complexes changed from a '一'shape to a '口'shape. It increases heat island phenomenon of a city by blocking a road of the wind that comes from Shin-cheon and Dondaegu-ro. To circulate the polluted air of Daegu basin, we need local wind. There are four effective measures. 1) Throw three greens into one in the center of the road at the north side in the same way of the south side of Dongdaegu-ro, 2) reflect the information of roads of the wind including heights, spaces and directions of buildings, 3) steer clear of a high-rise buildings and development apartment house constructions, and 4)select a city for benchmarking to be the environmental capital.

With the increase of the number of riverfront development projects an objective and systematized survey and assessment tool is required to understand and identify the characteristics and potentials of river environment for human uses. The purpose of this study was to develop an assessment system for the investigation and evaluation of the water-friendly environment and to examine its effectiveness by applying the system to the selected study sites. Literature reviews, expert consultation, and preliminary survey were conducted to select highly relevant indexes to evaluate water-friendliness in rivers and, as a result, an assessment system of ten items in four areas was established. The assessment system were applied to 139 reaches of six rivers including Bykgye Cheon, Seom River, Gap Cheon, Yudeng Cheon, Naesung Cheon, and Kumho River. The scores and grade of water-friendliness were calculated per rivers and reaches, and their differences were prominent according to urban river, rural river, mountainous area and city area. Bykgye Cheon and Naesung Cheon got high scores in visual quality and Kumho River and Gap Cheon in community needs and potential uses. The scores of each section in the same river can be used as a basic data for the selection of appropriate sites for the development of hydrophilic space. In addition, it is expected that identifying the characteristics of each river help establish an appropriate management plan for the river.

We concluded to analysis the air condition of city area in the Chungbuk province by pollutant concentration and weather survey data to used from the data of Air Pollution Monitoring System until September in 2002 from 1998. The results of this study is to prove out the pollutional phenomena and effects in the each area of Cheong-ju & Je-cheon city and to provide the basic data of comfortable environmental condition in the province. Also, we provide environmental statistical dat for the inhabitants in the province as the present condition analysis of air pollution. We got the conclusion of having air condition as clear state in Chungbuk Province from our analytical results.

The objective area of this study is a private house of common people at SimPori in the riverside area of OsipCheon. This area is the upriver of OsipCheon, and it was distributed at the 田-shaped House and the Dureong House with the composition of GuDl. Owing to the frequent interchange of AnDong and BongWha in the Young Seo district, the Kyup House and the SaBang House mixed with the 田-shaped House with GuDl of the YoungDong district. So the form of Folk House at this area is Dureong House. The Folk House of the seaside of SamCheok City is a compromised type among the 田-shaped House of GuDl in the north district and with MaRu in the south district, and introduced an indeterminate MaRu formed in the GaGokCheon area.

This study was carried out to survey the fauna of some parks around Kunsan-city and to establish biological impact on the development of those parks. Among the fauna surveyed, insects consist of 74 species in 49 families and 13 orders. The insect fauna was poor, because the environment was made of simple flora and mostly farmland. Fish in the reservoir of Wolmyong-Park consist of 7 species. Among them, Ctenopharyngodon idellus is an exotic species and characterized with its voracious plantfeeding. This fish severely destroyed the habitats and spawning sites of other sympatric fish. For the conservation of non-exotic fish, birds, and mammals in the area, the integrated biological direction would be needed.

Hamburg is going with the HafenCity Project to create new urban space for city's bustling central district. HafenCity will add an additional 155 hectares to Hamburg's central urban area, increasing its total area by some 40 percent. The new developments in HafenCity will be oriented towards the River Elbe and the great seaport. Its centre will have a close relation to water. They will be used for the construction of a fascinating mix of residential accommodation, offices, cultural and leisure amenities, retail facilities and restaurants set in a framework of an elaborate urban layout. This study is focusing on the purpose of the project goals, the task of the Hamburg authorities and GHS (Gesells chaft f$\ddot{u}$r Hafen und Standortentwicklung) and an urban planning ideas competition (draft masterplan). Regarding of the new trend of the reurbanisation in Europe, the aim of this study will be to find out, in which way Hafencity is trying to develope the new city district as a model for the European inner city of the 21st century.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the characteristics of daily living and the location of welfare facilities for the aged in the local city. The thorough investigation and observation works were made to them from the view points of daily living behaviors and behavioral places of the recuperating elderly and location of welfare facilities. This article discusses about the actual condition of the daily living activities of 252 elderly in 4 facilities. The results of this study are summarized as follows; We must actively prepare for the advanced age society to the increase of the elderly man population. The elderly man welfare facilities expansion needs the range who do not escape from existing a life area of the aged. The city of Sa-cheon the elderly man welfare facilities have got on favorable terms ready in the locational environment. But an facilities in the west area need to preparable emergency happen that facility construction. The usage of behavioral places in recuperating facilities are influenced by the physical environments and the basic characteristics of the elderly.
