According as the high integrity of the semi conductor devices is definited required, the concern on the multi-layered wiring, and three-dimensional devices is growing these days. Therefore, plasma-enhanced chemical vapored deposition(PECVD) enables low-teperature process and is widely used, but it causes the instability of the devices due to a lot of impurities within the film. The PECVD oxynitride was formed by changing the gas ratio of (N$_2$O) to (N$_2$+NH$_3$). It's contained a small portion of hydrogen, had higher refrctive index and capacitance than oxide, and showed the capacitance increasement and the chemical stabi1ity. This is caused by nitrogen distribution increase of the interface lather than within the film.
The commercial activated carbons are typically prepared by activation from coconut shell char or coal char containing lots of inorganic impurities. They also have pore structure and pore size distribution depending on nanostructure of precursor materials. In this study, two types of commercial activated carbons were applied for EDLC electrode by removing impurities with acid treatments, and controlling pore size distribution and contents of functional group with heat treatment. The effect of the surface functional groups on electrochemical performance of the activated carbon electrodes was investigated. The initial gravimetric and volumetric capacitance of coconut based activated carbon electrode which was acid treated by $HNO_3$ and then heat treated at $800^{\circ}C$ were 90 F/g and 42 F/cc respectively showing 94% of charge-discharge efficiency. Such a good electrochemical performance can be possibly applied to the medium capacitance of EDLC.

Di(1-aminopyrene)quinone (DAQ) as a quinone-containing conducting additive is synthesized from a solution reaction of 1-aminopyrene and hydroquinone. To utilize the conductive property of DAQ and its compatibility with activated carbon, a composite electrode for a supercapacitor is also prepared by blending activated carbon and DAQ (3:1 w/w), and its supercapacitive properties are characterized based on the cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge. As a result, the composite electrode adopting DAQ exhibits superior electrochemical properties, such as a higher specific capacitance of up to $160F{\cdot}g^{-1}$ at $100mV{\cdot}s^{-1}$, an excellent high-rate capability of up to $1,000mV{\cdot}s^{-1}$, and a higher cycling stability with a capacitance retention ratio of 82% for the 1,000th cycle.
Graphene/Ni-Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) hybrid materials were synthesized by a hydrothermal reaction. Hexagonal Ni-Al LDH particles nucleated and grew on graphene sheets, thus preventing restacking of the graphene sheets and aggregation of the Ni-Al LDH nanoparticles upon drying. Electrode made from the graphene/Ni-Al LDH hybrid materials showed a substantial improvement in electrochemical capacitance relative to those made with pure Ni-Al LDH nanoparticles. In addition, the graphene/Ni-Al LDH hybrid composite materials showed remarkable stability after 4000 cycles with over 100% capacitance retention. These materials are thus very promising for use in electrochemical capacitor electrodes.
The ionic conductivity of polycrystalline, glass, and glass-ceramic silicates was measured using two-terminal AC method with blocking electrode over a frequency range of 100 Hz to 100 KHz in the temperature range of $200^{\circ}C$ to $320^{\circ}C$. Analysing the capacitance (C), susceptance (B), impedance (Z), and conductance (G) under the given conditions, an equivalent circuit containing temperature and frequency dependent component is proposed. Higher capacitance could be observed in the low frequency region and on the improved ionic migration conditions i.e., at higher temperature in a better ionic conductor. Also the electrode polarization built up at the electrode-specimen interface could be sorted out above 10 KHz. However, grain boundary contribution couldn't be extracted from the bulk resistance over the frequency range measured here.
In this report, we summarize recent progress in the development of electrolyte-gated transistors (EGTs) for various printed electronics. EGTs, employing a high capacitance electrolyte as gate dielectric layer in transistors, exhibits increasing of drive current, lowering operation voltage, and new transistor architectures. While the use of electrolytes in electronics goes back to the early days of silicon transistors, the new printable, fast-responsive polymer electrolytes are expanding their range of applications from printable and flexible digital circuits to various neuromorphic devices. This report introduces the structure and operating mechanism of EGT and reviews key developments in electrolyte materials used in printed electronics. Additionally, we will look at various applications with EGTs that are currently underway.

This study describes the development of an electrochemical array immunochip for the detection of IgG. Interdigitated immunochip platforms were fabricated by sputtering gold on a glass wafer by using MEMS process and then were coated with Eudragit S100, an enteric polymer, forming an insulating layer over the working area of immunochips. The breakdown of the polymer layer was exemplified by the catalytic action of urease which, in the presence of urea, caused an alkaline pH change. This subsequently caused an increase of the double layer capacitance of the underlying electrode. Used in conjunction with a competitive immunoassay format, this allowed the ratio of initial to final electrode capacitance to be directly linked with the concentration of analyte, i.e. IgG. Responses to IgG could be detected at IgG concentration as low as $250\;ngmL^{-1}$ and showed good linearity up to IgG concentration as high as $20\;{\mu}gmL^{-1}$.
