외란관측기법과 최대최소 제어방법을 이용한 시변 입력 외란을 갖는 선형 시스템의 점근 안정화 (Asymptotic Stabilization of Linear Systems with Time-Varying Input Disturbances Using Disturbance Observer Techniques and Min-Max Control Method)

  • This paper deals with asymptotic stabilization problems for linear systems with time-varying input disturbances. In order to eliminate the influence of a disturbance on the system, a disturbance observer is designed and the time-varying disturbance can be rejected using its estimated value. Since the disturbance observer is kind of low-pass filter, it has inevitably estimation errors. To eliminate the inflences on the performance due to these errors, the additional control is designed based on these estimation errors using a well-known min-max control method. It is shown that the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed. In general, the min-max control method requires the switching of control inputs and the switching magnitude of the control input is determined by the disturbance estimation error bounds. As the error bounds can be made arbitrarily small by choosing the high gain for the disturbance observer, the control method suggested in this paper can reduce the chattering phenomena as small as possible. Therefore, it has superior performance to the existing ones.

  • This study describe a new method to control posture and velocity for a wheeled mobile robot using visual feedback control method with a position based visual feedback. To slove the problem of vibration phenomena which were shown in the previous researches using a simple switching function based on a threshold, the proposed visual servo control law introduces the fusion function based on a blending function. The chattering problem and rapid motion of the mobile robot can be eliminated. And we consider the nonlinearity of the wheeled mobile robot unlike the previous visual servo control laws using linear control methods to improve the performances of the visual servo control law. The proposed posture control law using visual servoing is verified by a theoretical analysis and simulation and experimental results.

신경회로망을 이용한 매니플레이터의 슬라이딩모드 제어 (Sliding Mode control of Manipulator Using Neural Network)

  • This paper presents a new control scheme that combines a sliding mode control and a neural network. In the proposed sliding mode control, a continuous control is employed removing the switching phenomena and the equivalent control within the boundary layer is estimated through on-line teaming of the neural network. The performances of the proposed control are compared with off-line neural network and on-line neural sliding mode control by computer simulation. The simulation results show that the proposed control reduces high frequency chattering and tracking error in example of the two link manipulator.

Intelligent Gain and Boundary Layer Based Sliding Mode Control for Robotic Systems with Unknown Uncertainties

  • This paper proposes a intelligent gain and boundary layer based sliding mode control (SMC) method for robotic systems with unknown model uncertainties. For intelligent gain and boundary layer, we employ the self recurrent wavelet neural network (SRWNN) which has the properties such as a simple structure and fast convergence. In our control structure, the SRWNNs are used for estimating the width of boundary layer, uncertainty bound, and nonlinear terms of robotic systems. The adaptation laws for all parameters of SRWNNs and reconstruction error bounds are derived from the Lyapunov stability theorem, which are used for an on-line control of robotic systems with unknown uncertainties. Accordingly, the proposed method can overcome the chattering phenomena in the control effort and has the robustness regardless of unknown uncertainties. Finally, simulation results for the three-link manipulator, one of the robotic systems, are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문에서는 수동 관절을 지니는 로봇 매니퓰레이터의 제어를 위하여 퍼지 슬라이딩 모드 기법을 제안하였다. 구동기가 정착되어 있지 않은 수동 관절을 지니는 로봇 매니퓰레이터는 언더액츄에이티트(Underactuated) 시스템의 일종이며 이러한 매니퓰레이터의 제어에 비해 어려운 측면이 있다. 여기서는 불확실성 및 외란이 존재하는 매니퓰레이터 시스템에 대하여 퍼지 슬라이딩 모드 제어를 적용함으로써, 불확실성을 극복하며 채터링 현상이 없는 제어가 가능함을 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다.

Adaptive Sliding Mode Control을 이용한 전기유압식 서어보시스템의 위치제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Position Control of Electrohydraulic Servo System Using Adaptive Sliding Mode Control)

  • This paper is concerned with the position control of electrohydraulic servo system under parameter variation. An adaptive sliding mode control which uses the direct parameter estimation scheme, is proposed to design a robust controller for fast and accurate control of the system. It is shown that the adaptive sliding mode control algorithm is robust and effective in attaining fast and accurate position control of system under time-dependent parameter variation. It is also shown experimentally that chattering phenomena in a sliding mode control can significantly be reduced by using boundary layer technique, and that new approach in sliding mode control introducing a term proportional to the distance between the current state and the sliding surface in the control law is effective to obtain fast response and to increase stability of the system. Computer simulation on the dynamic performance of the control system is also presented.

  • 본 연구는 종방향과 횡방향에서 규칙파가 외란으로 입사하는 선박의 종동요 및 횡동요를 억제하는 문제를 다룬다. 선박의 안전 운항을 위해서 파랑 중 선박의 종동요 및 횡동요를 안정화시키는 것은 필수적인 과제로 여겨진다. 종동요 및 횡동요 거동에서 중요한 특징 중에 하나는 공진인데, 이 현상은 특정한 조건에서 예상치 못한 큰 응답을 초래한다. 종동요와 횡동요는 두 운동이 상호 결합되어 있고 복원항이 강한 비선형을 갖고 있음으로 계의 파라미터에 따라 다양한 동적 거동을 보이는 것이 중요한 특징인데, 특히 종동요에서 이 특성이 두드러지게 나타난다. 무엇보다, 선박의 조종성능 및 안전을 위해 선박의 종동요 가속도 응답을 완전히 억제하는 것은 상당히 도전적인 과제이다. 이 연구에서는 준 슬라이딩 모드 제어 기법을 이용하여 종동요와 횡동요를 줄임으로 파랑 중의 선박을 안정적인 직립 상태로 유지시키고, 아울러 채터링을 감소시키는 목적을 달성하였다. 리아프노프 이론으로 준 슬라이딩 모드 제어의 안정성을 판명하였고, 수치 시뮬레이션으로 제어 방식의 유효성을 증명하였다. 제시한 기법으로 종동요 및 횡동요 응답의 수렴 및 채터링 감소라는 두 가지 목표가 효과적으로 달성되었다.

Is It an 'Educational' Activity?: The Case of a High School Biology Laboratory Class

  • There have been many attempts to determine the value and the role of school laboratory experiment, but it seems hard to find consensus among these attempts from the perspective of education. This difficulty seems mainly due to disagreement on the concept of education, which has caused an instrumental attitude considering the school laboratory only as a means of developing science or pursuing various functions of school. However, the Endogenous Theory of Education (ETE), which claims education as 'a form of life', has recently paved the way for laboratory experiment to be justified as an opportunity of 'educooperation' allowing students to experience the intrinsic values of education in the medium of science. According to this theory, it is not the detailed practicals but the whole context where the laboratory activity is situated that matters in revealing the inherent educational phenomena. Through this new perspective, I observed two biology laboratory classes in a high school and analyzed the pattern of teacher-student and student-student interactions. Some meaningful educooperation was found in students' chattering, which has been traditionally considered as merely noise in the classroom, rather than in teacher-student interactions. This study discusses the reasons for these findings in detail and culminates in suggesting ways for accentuating the educational aspect of school laboratory activity.
