  • IP camera which transmits image signal in network includes web server, network interface unit and CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) module. IP camera is able to transmit image signals by network in real time and to monitor the scene image always by IP or Web address. IP camera is substituted for analog camera now gradually according to the development and progress of camera technology and expect it to extend the boundary in rolling stock gradually cause of the excellent expansibility and noise solution of analog camera. We survey the IP camera system composition in rolling stock and so this can be a help to develop and design IP camera system, because it has unsolved problems for common use of IP camera.

  • The CCD (Charge coupled device) detector that is used to convert the light into electronic data is very important component in satellite camera. A Linear CCD Spectral detector shall be used in the MSC (Multi-Spectral Camera, to obtain data for high-resolution images) Payload. In this paper, the design concept of the CCD detector control module in the MSC CEU (Camera electronic unit) system which will be a payload on KOMPSAT is described in terms of H/W (clock speed and accuracy).

  • This System is developed for the estimation of the Camera Lens Resolution. Signal data proportional to light intensity is obtained and sampled from the 2D CCD. Based on the measured signal. the MTF charateristcs of a camera lens are measured. We could measure the sagittal and tangential MTF in the on and off-axis at the same time. The automatic measurig methods for optimal image plane, magnification, and best marginal direction of test lens are presented.

  • Optimum characteristics of digital X-ray sensor components were analyzed to develop intra- oral dental digital X-ray image sensor using indirect method. Parametric analysis was carried out to optimize the phosphor thickness and the fiber optic plate (FOP) coupling to charge coupled device (CCD). X-ray absorption and light diffusion in the phosphor layer were analyzed by the Monte Carlo method. Real time X-ray image was obtained with prototype X- ray image sensor using general CCD camera with 1∼10 Ip/mm resolution. It has been previously shown that large resolution degradation in X-ray images was caused by miss alignment of FOP to CCD and optical adhesive selection. In this study, we reported that X-ray image quality was greatly improved by using optimized characteristics of alignment device and phosphor thickness.

  • Reflected-Ultraviolet photography is applied to the evidence of crime, Archaeology, and Dermatology. In the past, Ultraviolet photography was done with standard black-and-white film. Because emulsion of film is more sensitive to near UV light than CCD(Charge Coupled Device) or CMOS(Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor)of digital camera. In this research, we purpose to improve qulity of ultraviolet photographs and to find out the best alternative digital camera by utilizing a cunsumer digital camera. To achieve theses, we removed IR cutoff filter from digital camera. And by using modified UV pass filter, we verified the increase of image resolution of digital ultraviolet photographs. Also, we analyze reproducibility of digital ultraviolet photographs according to type, size, pixel of image sensor. Furthermore, this research resulted in the development of an practical digital camera system by utilizing a cunsumer digital camera. Eventually, it will contribute to practical use in the various field of digital ultraviolet photographs

  • 최근에 광학을 기초로 한 산업계에서 중요시 되는 문제는 촛점을 자동으로 맞추는 문제다. 대부분 오토콜리케터(autocollimater)를 사용하여 수동으로 사람이 그 초점을 판별하여 맞추는 것이 현실이다. 하지만 산업계에서 이러한 작업을 필요로 하는 부분이 급성장하고 있으며 대량생산을 위해서는 자동화가 필수적으로 되어가고 있다. 특히 카메라 렌즈의 경우 최근 자동카메라의 급수요현상으로 조립시 카메라의 촛점을 맞추는 작업은 가장 기본적이고 정교한 작업이 되고 있다. 초점을 맞추는 것은 렌즈의 절대좌표를 지정하는 것으로 렌즈의 구동은 이 점을 기준으로 움직이게 된다. 본 논문에서는 초첨을 자동으로 맞추기 위한 작업으로 MTF(modulation transfer function)의 방법을 사용하였다. 일반적인 방법은 CCD(charge coupled device)를 사용하여 빛의 조도의 값을 비교하여 최대값이 나올때를 기준으로 하였으나, 모든 픽셀에 대한 계산을 행해야 하므로 시간이 오래 걸리게 되고 광원의 변화에 따라 민감하게 변화하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 그러나 MTF를 사용하면 아주 간단한 장치를 사용하고, 신호의 처리를 용이하게 하여 초첨의 거리를 쉽게 판단할 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다.

Study on Biophoton Emission from roots of Angelica sinensis D., Angelica acutiloba K., and Angelica pubescens M. (국내 수입되는 바디나물속 기원 한약재의 Biophoton(생체광자) 방출 특성 연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the delayed luminescence-biophoton emission from root of Angelica sinensis D., Angelica acutiloba K., and Angelica pubescens M. These three species of Genus Angelica are now imported from other nations into Republic of Korea. Methods : Randomly selected samples from roots of Angelica sinensis D., Angelica acutiloba K., and Angelica pubescens M. were radiated with 150 W metal halide lamp for 1 minute. After radiation. biophoton emissions of each sample were detected by electron multiplication(EM)-charge coupled device camera. The detected biophoton image was calculated with unit of counts per pixel. Results: The average biophoton emissions of delayed luminescence with EM ratio of $\times$150 and $\times$250 were distinguished significantly. The maximum biophoton emissions of delayed luminescence with EM ratio of $\times$250 were distinguished significantly. Conclusions : These results suggest that biophoton imaging of roots of Angelica sinensis D., Angelica acutiloba K., and Angelica pubescens M. could become the meaningful method for the study of differentiation for these three species of Genus Angelica.

  • Objectives : The difference of delayed luminescence-biophoton emission was investigated in Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu selected randomly. Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu was used as a tonic in Korean medicine. Methods : Randomly selected samples of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu were radiated with 150 W metal halide lamp for 1 minute. After radiation, biophoton emissions of each sample were detected by electron multiplication(EM)-charge coupled device camera. The detected biophoton image was calculated with unit of counts per pixel. Results : The average biophoton emissions of delayed luminescence with EM ratio of ${\times}l50\;and\;{\times}250$ were distinguished significantly. The maximum biophoton emissions of delayed luminescence with EM ratio of ${\times}250$ were distinguished significantly. Conclusion : These results suggest that biophoton imaging of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu could become the meaningful method for the study of differentiation and classification of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu.
