The most important role of actors is to transmit the thoughts and feelings to the audience or viewers. The expression methods of acting of each genre are clearly different. In order for the actors to act, crossing over the boundary of each genre such as movies, TV, dramas, musicals, they should understand the characteristics of each of the subdivided genres. If they understand the characteristics of the acting method different from one another and acquire the expression method to adapt to the spatial circumstances of each of the media, it becomes freer to act, crossing over the boundary of each of the genres. For the sake of this, actors must understand and acquire the characteristics of each of the genres. First of all, it is important to understand the difference between acting in the media and acting on the stage and to understand the characteristics of each of the genres.

As a form of media diversified and changed by the development of technology, fashion advertisements have brought a new change in representation of the body. With this transition, the characteristics of the body, which is in an inseparable relationship with fashion, have been dramatically changed in fashion advertisements. In hugely extended media flow, fashion advertisements suggest concepts of the body that are completely different from the past and became the focus in advertisements. Moreover, the body in fashion advertisements involve the symbolisms of social and cultural backgrounds followed by their commercialization. This study analyzes the characteristics of the body in fashion advertisements drawing on the innovative concepts of the body in contemporary society which is essentially different from the past ones; these characteristics are examined as postmodern features. The features are categorized as follows; hyperreal body, virtual body, fragmentization of the body through neologism, reconsideration of naked body, and decentralized body. The postmodern characteristics of the body have changed the boundary, broken traditional concepts and thoughts, and proposed new trends by creating revolutions though diversified media. Rapidly changing media is considered to be further accelerated; this transition highlights the postmodern characteristics of the body in fashion advertisements in more innovative methods.

The purpose of this study is to define the special characteristics of the neoclassic style in eighteenth to nineteenth century fashion. Researching into philosophy and aesthetics in eighteenth to nineteenth century, the characteristics of the neoclassic style in fashion is considered the clarity of form, the utility of function, and the sensuality combined with body. The results of this study are as follows: The clarify of form is found in geometric form based on anatomical truth of the human body in relation with rational and scientific thoughts. The utility of function is found in simple and suitable construction considering purely practical purpose of dresses. The sensuality combined with body is found in natural silhouette dress alluding naked body in connection with Rousseau' naturalism. Understanding aesthetic value of the neoclassic style will help to develop fashion designs associated with neoclassical forms.

Art belongs to men's mentality and plays the most representative role in mentality. The organization of mentality is complex, it has simple and distinct movement evolving into various configuration to achieve men's internal meaning and aim. The purpose of this study is to analyze Max Bill's characteristics of the spatial expression on his works, especially focuses on the concept called "simplicity". The simplicity does not means just a conceptual or formal terminology, but the logical principles of spatial organization through repeating arrangement, structural relationship, off-central ideas and the sequence of signs using by the composition of lines, faces and colors. He expressed the logical methods in various fields of art and has influenced his essential thoughts and emotion in men's mentality of the late 20th century20th century.

Some characteristics of depression in the aged were elucidated. Compared with the previous thoughts, much more attention was given to the biological aspects of depression. However, we have to face up to and solve a variety of enigmas about depression in the aged people. They are:locations and underlying mechanisms in the cerebrum responsible for depression;relationship of senile depression to the presenile one;possible difference(s) between depression with and without psychotic features;possible neurotransmitter differences between senile and presenile depressions. New insights into these areas could bring some lights in the under standing and treatment of depresseion in the aged.

'老' refers to the old man with the characteristics of being aged in the original meaning 'to be aged' (adjective), which is a metonymy of 'substituting the whole with a part'. In combination with nouns, '老' uses a lot of metaphorical expressions that are understood through animals closest to the attributes of people with aged characteristics, plants and objects. '老' can be extended to the meaning of 'the survival time, duration, recognition time, and existence time of a person, animal, plant, or object are long', or 'the survival time is over', which can be said to be a metonymy of 'substituting cause with result'. An experienced target respected by people on a positive level and a target with banal thoughts, habits, nature, and personality on the negative level can also be conceptualized and expressed as '老'.

Finishing materials and colors which were expressed in the space is an important factor to decide the imagination of the space. Therefore if we analyze and spotlight the space with that factors again, we will readily know the characteristics that are expressed in our living space. A purpose of this study is how the traditionality like national thoughts, customs and behavior patterns is changed, arranged and expressed in the korean housing space in the 21c on the finishing materials and colors. Though this study we can know that the traditionality which are expressed in modern housing spaces shows with accommodating to characteristic that is expressed in traditional housing spaces.

A variety of attempts for trends to overcome the limits of the uniform styles and a fixed dichotomous structure and thoughts, have been made. This research aims to apply and analyze the application of concepts of the liminal space of contemporary architecture based on the destructive inclination of post-structuralism and the theories of philosophers. Space of the past was recognized for a long time focused on functions and styles that support the building. In modern and contemporary spaces, however, the boundary of contemporary space has been blurred with the mingling of cultural phenomenon. In other words, new architectural approaches of expression have been attempted such as structure, styles and materials, in combination of diversified concepts. And, the concept of liminal space is useful to identify the multi-layered and fluid characteristics. This study examines various characteristics of expression on the liminal space characteristics of comtemporary architecture tbased on Herzog and de Meuron's architecture. The result will help us understand the expression and characteristics of the liminal space that belongs nowhere among their architectural spaces. The analysis of the ases of Herzog and de Meuron will play a crucial role in developing new possibilities of modern space and contemporary space of the future.

This study is to analyze fashion phenomenon according to the concept of the characteristics of freewheeling to explain the de-constructive, eclectic, avant-garde tendencies in Contemporary Fashion. This study is to elicit the aesthetic characteristics through 400 pieces of visual data analysis from 2001S/S to 2011F/W that have the characteristics of freewheeling, nontechnical experiments do away with the classical form. The oriental ideas include the thoughts of different tastes that break the stereotypes according to the Western values and the pursuit of unconventional beauty. These also insist that everything in the world including human-being, nature and creation is not divided into two equal parts, and even beauty and ugliness originated from one. This study is to find the possibility of interpreting oriental aesthetics with open concepts that transcends the boundaries of full availability, unlike the Western values that accommodate the relative concept of the pursuit of diversity. Therefore, integrated and systematic approaches of oriental aesthetics that place much value on the coexistence of antithetic concepts are needed to understand the ambiguity of complexity and diversity in Contemporary fashion design.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the interior characteristics of the Yale center for British art by Louis I. Kahn. As his last realized project, the Yale center for British art shows Kahn's latter architectural thoughts about exterior/interior, space/structure and theory/practice. Kahn arranged unit space(room) around two interior courts and laminated them vertically. This spatial configuration is the result of solving the urban context which needed the continuity of street and complicated program including art museum, retail shop, studio and library. Although Kahn adpted severe formal configuration, he added changes to spatial relation. The visualization of architectural system is realized by revealing the relation of the unit space and structure. And this emphasized the presence of the center. The emphasis of tectonic expression is also the characteristics of interior in that structure is the logical part of whole building system rather than concealing object for the exterior of buildings. In the Yale center for British art, interior characteristics are summarized as spatial configuration based on the relation between unit space and two courts, the visualization of structural order, and the relationship between structure and light.
