By using an XPM (Cross Phase Modulation) wavelength converter, an all-optical AND gate, which is one of six fundamental logic gates, has been demonstrated. The wavelengths for probe and pump signals are 1553.8 and 1545 nm, respectively. First, characteristics of the XPM wavelength converter have been studied. When both probe and pump signals are driven by high power, the output power of the XPM wavelength is high. Based on this fact and the experiment, the all-optical AND gate has been porved. Probe and pump signals are transformed to pulse signals by using Mach-Zehnder modulator, which is induced by a pulse generator. Square pulse signals that are similar to the format of NRZ signals have been generated. By coupling two pulse signals into the XPM wavelength converter, AND characteristics in substantiated.
We are exposed to the various external stimuli input from the environment, which cause emotional changes based on the characteristics of the stimuli. Unfortunately there are no quantitative results on relationship between human sensibility and the characteristics of physiological signals. The objective of this study was to quantify EEG signals evoked by auditory stimulation based on the assumption that the analysis of the variability on the characteristics of the EEG waveform may provide the significant information regarding changes in psychological states of the subject. The experiment was devised with seven experimental conditions, which are control and six different types of auditory stimulation. Six subjects were used to obtain EEGs while introducing auditory stimulation. Wavelet transformation was employed to analyze the EEG signals. The results showed that the reconstructed signals at the decomposition level revealed the different energy value on the EEG signal. Also, general patterns of EEG signals in rest state compare with negative and positive stimulus were found. This study could be extended to establish an algorithm which distinguishes psychophysiological states of the subjects exposed to the auditory stimulation.
GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) is power equipment with excellent dielectric strength and is economy merit in high confidence and stability. But, because of structural characteristics, this is difficult to monitor externally and provide much loss in the event of an accident. Recently, because equipment of GIS is occurring problem of confidence used for a long time, development of diagnosis technique have been importantly recognized. therefore, measurement and analysis of PD much has been generally used for equipment of GIS. But, in case of measurement of PD at field, real trouble signals is difficult to classify noise. Accordingly, a variety of trouble conditions for DS are simulated, and detected signals are analyzed by the application of electrical and mechanical methods. For this analysis, detected signals are accumulated according to phase-magnitude with the application of induction sensor, and then we analyzed the characteristics. For the simulation experiment, we make DS for 170KV GIS and analyze the characteristics of detected signals with the application of neural network algorithm. last, we have measured DS for GIS at field, and then have analyzed detected signals.
This paper reports on the research which investigates acoustic signals acquired in turning with rough and finish simultaneously. The material is aluminum thin pipe. Two acousto-ultrasonic sensors were set on the finish and the rough bite of the CNC machine. It was first evaluated that one source was affected by the other. It was found that two signals were little affected each other, and that the acoustic signal from the finish bite was more related to the surface defects. Signals from the finish bite only were then analyzed in order to observe several types of surface defects. Second the fundamental experiments were accomplished to study the effects of machine vibration and material state. The signal characteristics due to surface defects were studied from the collected acoustic signals. The analysis was based on real time data, root mean squared average and frequency spectrum by fast fourier transform. As a result, the acoustic signals were made effects by machine condition, material structure. The acoustic signal from the finish bite was closely correlated with surface quality. Two types surface micro defects were then evaluated by the signal characteristics.

Two acoustic sensors were set on CNC machine. One was set on the finish bite and the other the rough. Two signals were first analyzed in order to consider how much the acoustic signal from the finish bite was coupled by that from the rough. A simple data collecting system to acquire signals from the finish was then determined because two acoustic signals were little coupled. In this study, eddy current signals from various anomalous defects in the heat exchanger tube are predicted af their signal slope characteristics no analyzed. The signal changes due to frequency increase are also observed. Based in the accumulated knowledge, the analysis of superimposed signal is attempted which includes the effects of support plate. Both differential and absolute bobbin probe signals are analyzed. For the prediction of signals, axisymmetric finite element modeling is used and this leads us to the utilization of slope angle analysis of the signal. Results show that differential signals are useful to locate the position of defect under the support plate and absolute signals no easy to predict and analyze even though they no superimposed signals. Combined use of these two types of signals will accomplish a reliable inspection.

This study aims to provide a fundamental material for identifying fire and no-fire signals using the detection signal characteristics of IoT-based fire-detection systems. Unlike analog automatic fire-detection equipment, IoT-based fire-detection systems employ wireless digital communication and are connected to a server. If a detection signal exceeds a threshold value, the measured values are saved to a server within seconds. This study was conducted with the detection data saved from seven fire accidents that took place in traditional markets from 2020 to 2021, in addition to 233 fire alarm data that have been saved in the K institute from 2016 to 2020. The saved values demonstrated variable and continuous VC-Signals. Additionally, we discovered that the detection signals of two fire accidents in the K institution had a VC-Signal. In the 233 fire alarms that took place over the span of 5 years, 31% of smoke alarms and 30% of temperature alarms demonstrated a VC-Signal. Therefore, if we selectively recognize VC-Signals as fire signals, we can reduce about 70% of false alarms.
