The Evaluation of the Purchase Social Housing on the Characteristics of Location and Housing in Busan (부산지역 매입임대주택의 입지 및 주택 내·외부 특성에 따른 주거평가 분석)

  • This study aims to analysis of determinants of the residents satisfaction of purchased rental housing and currently being implemented policy of supporting low-income families are empirically evaluated through the residential evaluation of purchased rental housing residents. Purchased rental housing users are possible to live in currently residing community consistently, have advantages for fewer problems of the phenomenon of social isolation, exclusion and preventing slumism of low-income families, are expected to increase in the future. First of all, the characteristics of residential environment, housing expenses and a head of household were examined for the residential environment evaluation of the residents of purchased rental housing, on the basis of this, the characteristics of internal and external house and residential location are examined each for the determinants of the residential environment satisfaction of purchased rental housing. The variables that affect residential satisfaction according to residential location are public facilities, educational facilities and welfare facilities respectively. In particular, the higher the satisfaction of access to welfare facilities, the higher the satisfaction of residential location of purchased rental housing was analyzed. The variables affecting the residential satisfaction according to the internal and external characteristics of house are significant in window status, cracking, heating facilities, housing scale and management.

  • This study is purposed to analyze of House Vision exhibition and projects in Japan. The contemporary residence has been planned and designed with fixed territory and boundary of rooms. According to the symposium of House Vision, the spatial boundary can be studied in the aspect of territory that molds the experience of residents. So, this study reviews Aldo van Eyck's concept of 'in-between'. Through the analysis, House Vision exhibition is revealed that the housing models present architectural characteristics of middleware and third place. The cognition of internal and external boundary stems from movements and activities of residents. That is the dwelling and residential space determined by users and residents. In this regard, 'in-between' of House Vision has structures(multilayer) causing various relationships to be perceived, so as to connect with the dwelling and activities of residents. As a result, it has relational meanings of sharing, as well as makes possible other community life to be done. According to the projects of House Vision, the units and cores have created the new connections and relationships between privacy and publicity. In conclusion, this research shows a new direction of the spatial strategies on House Vision exhibition in Japan.

A Study on the Organization of the Village and the Characteristics of Folk Houses on Cheongunri in Cheong-Song (청송 청운리 마을구조와 민가특성 연구)

  • This study is conducted to investigate the organization of Cheongunri in Cheong-song, as well as the characteristics of folk houses. In this study, 82 folk houses, including the villages, are surveyed; among them, 15 houses are intensively analyzed in terms of the structure of plane and the arrangement of space. The focus of study is on discovering an internal order system of villages and tracing a relationship between the characteristics of houses and the environmental factors. According to the results of the study, an Intrinsic order in Cheongunri is found to be related to the mountain axis, the road system, and the flow axis; and the form of folk houses is also found to be influenced by this order. The major characteristics of folk houses can be summarized as follows: (1) Most of the houses face east along the mountain axis, whereas houses influenced by the flow axis tend to face south. (2) The side of houses tend to be open to the outside, showing external directionality. This characteristic seems to be closely related to the direction of the main gate in a house site. (3) The layout of the main quarters and the annex quarters is found to be related to the direction of the main gate in a house site. Especially, the characteristics of courtyard are found to be affected by the annex quarters. From the above results, it can be concluded that villages have an intrinsic order depending on the geographic characteristics of a surrounding natural environment, and folk houses have also changed accordingly.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to provide useful infonnation for residential site design in Korea by analyzing Japanese case. The important characteristics of Japanese design techniques are follows. First, the characteristics of residential site development can be expressed as "eco-friendly" and "public order". The patterns of spatial use also focuses on living environment improvement. Second, variety replaces unity in internal mobility plans. For example the width of street, size of park are not same in a site boundary. Third, to avoid street parking and commodity exhibition, commercial buildings are set-back and public parking lot is constructed. Fourth, fences of private house are made of trees rather than bricks. It connects green environment between internal and external space of houses.nal space of houses.

  • This study investigates the characteristics of Mario Botta's single-family houses. Eight of his housing project which are deemed important in the historical development of housing he been selected for the purpose their elevations plans loggie and interiors are analyzed and evaluated. Through this study the followings are realized ; $\circled1$ The rationality of his interior space comes from Le Corbusier's housing projects. $\circled2 His expression of elevations has developed from Louis. I. Kahn's language and Carlo Scarpa's technique. $\circled3$ The rationality of Corbusier's houses and expressiveness of Kahn's and scarpa's projects together led to his functional solution of internal program an and the creative external images of his own. $\circled4$ The originality of this house results from his creative vision and ability to reinterpret the existing expression and principles in the light of time and space.

Characteristics of wind loads on roof cladding and fixings

  • Analysis of pressures measured on the roof of the full-scale Texas Tech building and a 1/50 scale model of a typical house showed that the pressure fluctuations on cladding fastener and cladding-truss connection tributary areas have similar characteristics. The probability density functions of pressure fluctuations on these areas are negatively skewed from Gaussian, with pressure peak factors less than -5.5. The fluctuating pressure energy is mostly contained at full-scale frequencies of up to about 0.6 Hz. Pressure coefficients, $C_p$ and local pressure factors, $K_l$ given in the Australian wind load standard AS1170.2 are generally satisfactory, except for some small cladding fastener tributary areas near the edges.

  • In Korea, the ratio of population in urban areas used to be only 50.1% in 1970, but with the value risen to 90.8% in 2009, urbanization is going on rapidly. Urbanization, which occurs by the rampantly planted buildings, has become major source of raising building density, changing wind direction and reducing wind amount, and such reductions are affecting even inside the building. In each year, among the total energy consumption in Korea, residential portion takes up significant ratio, and specifically the ratio of apartment house is shown to be highest. In order to solve such problem, many studies are being conducted for the improvement of natural ventilation performance. The natural ventilation performance of apartment house are significantly determined by the characteristics of external and internal structure, but in macroscopic perspective, the performance is established fundamentally by the layout characteristics of the main building of the apartment house in preparation for wind conditions. So far researches on raising the thermal comfort through elevation of ventilation performance have been conducted actively, but many of them propose only theoretical concepts deduced through wind path analysis, and do not include any indicator to measure ventilation performance simply only with area data from layout planning stage. Therefore, in this study, gap ratio a wind field measuring indicator was developed, and after the ventilation characteristics by layout types and main building uniformity were identified, the scope of gap ratio efficient for ventilation and that of uniformity were clarified, followed by verification through simulation.

  • All the phenomena and subjects of nature and society are within correlation interconnection, and they are inseparably connected one another. The elements of this interaction can be found out through the concept of transparency in the space composition of Korean traditional architecture. This study is focusing on the access space, in other words, a gate-house that is a buffer zone playing a process role up to the main space among successive spaces. It was chosen to be the subject of the study since it strengthens convergence into the main building and with the effect connecting spaces, it could show well the spatial possibility of transparency. Besides, the subject of the study is limited to the Moonru Multi roofs that improves the functionality of spaces between gate-houses, and it is intended to progress contents by comparative analysis of two kinds such as Seo Won gate-house and temple gate-house. Korean traditional architecture places emphasis on harmony within the whole spaces. There are intimate relations between surrounding environment, external spaces and internal spaces, and it is important understand the spatial relations according to the shape appearing through interactions of parts in the whole spaces. In conclusion, the Moonru Multi roofs is analyzed with the method of extracting the concept that is contained in the frame of analysis and through ecological views through a visible and structural method. It can be understood what kinds of method for communication were used for ancestors to recognize and use spaces with the deduced concept through the analysis of the Moonru Multi roofs with different character.

  • As globalization proceeds, transnational property development is increasing. Vietnam has began to experience a serious housing shortage throughout the urbanization process and they try to solve this housing problem in the city by development of New Town with an excellent technique. Of these, New city, Phu My Hung (PMH) is known as a very successful example. Therefore, this study researched 145 plan of 15 Apartment complexes which were completed after 2008 to analyse the plan characteristic of internal-external of Apartment in PMH New city in Ho Chi Minh City which effected the housing development in Vietnam. We collected the data from Internet and researched the characteristic of complex and an individual unit by visiting 6 Apartment complexes directly on Aug, 2014. In PMH, apartment has pattern of Mixed-use Apartment. There are stores on the 1st ad 2nd floor and consisted of 2 or 3 small complexes. They secure enough Green Space and Community Space and control visitor access for the safety of residents. Inside space organization is mainly consisted of 3LDK+2BATH and Public space and Private space is placed separately. Also, placed the Kitchen independently and it is quiet interesting that the entrance entry into the house directly from the external space.

  • In this study, a CFD code is developed to perform simulation of the surface and internal flow of a three-dimensional rectangular cavity driven by an external gas flow. Investigated in this study are surface characteristic such as surface tension, surface dilational viscosity(or surface elasticity), and surface viscosity. Visualization of the surface of water is performed to compare with the numerical results obtained with the developed in-house code. We have found that the surface flow is very sensitive to the surface tension and other configurations. The surface flow velocity obtained from the numerical solution is lower than the experimental result.
