ITER TF 초전도 도체 개발과 특성 (Development of ITER TF Cable-in-Conduit Conductors and Their Characteristics)

  • As a participant taking part in the ITER TF conductor R&D program, we developed two toroidal field conductors with variations of conduit thickness resulting in the different void fraction of the conductors. The estimated void fractions of the conductors are 31% and 33%. In this paper we present the details of the TF conductor development and performance test results of them carried out by the measurement of current sharing temperature under cyclic loading. Regarding the conductor development, the internal-Sn-processed $Nb_3Sn$ strand characteristics, strand cabling, twist pitch and characteristics of the conduit materials are presented. For the understanding of the conductor design and performance, the conductor test results are presented and the effect of the conductor design parameters such as void fraction and twist pitch is discussed based on the results.

급속압축팽창장치 내에서 LPG 연료와 가솔린 연료의 분무 및 연소특성 비교 (Comparison of Spray and Combustion Characteristics between LPG and Gasoline Fuels in RCEM)

  • In comparison with gasoline engine, LPG direct injection engine has some advantages not only in emission and fuel efficiency but also in prevention of power decrease and back fire etc. which are disadvantages of conventional LPG engine. In this study, comparision tests of the incylinder spray and combustion characteristics between of LPG and gasoline fuels were performed in the RCEM as a basic research for the development of future LPG engine with low emission and high fuel efficiency During the direct injection of LPG fuel and gasoline into the inside of RCEM, spray development characteristics according to the injection condition have been photographed by the high speed shadow graph methods. The conditions for the optimum mixture distribution of LPG and gasoline fuels are achievable at the selected ignition timing, respectively.

A Comparative Study on Characteristics of ODA of China-Japan-Korea to Cambodia

  • Development assistance plays an important role in contributing to the development process of Cambodia. The top bilateral donors, China, Japan, and Korea provide ODA to Cambodia in different characteristics and from different perspectives. This study tries to pull out some implications for Cambodia as recipient and for donors in order to achieve the development of Cambodia's economy-effectively by using the ODA. As a viewpoint, ODA structure emphasizes the intention of donors, either for their self-interest and benefit or for achieving MDGs. China's ODA to Cambodia seems to distort the ODA allocation by other donors with unconditional loans or loans with conditionality focusing only on infrastructure. Cambodia benefits from the better infrastructure, but it has to pay the price set by China, even for concessional loans. The driving interests of Japan and Korea are more influenced by their national policy goals and the expected perceptions of their voters. The aid projects should at least catch the attention of national media or win obvious and unbiased support from the suffering people in the recipient countries.

  • This paper presents the characteristics analysis of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors(IPMSMs). The development of this program is based on Matlab. In oder to achieve the development of the program, basis algorithm for IPMSMs analysis took advantage of equivalent magnetic circuit analysis technique. The equivalent magnetic circuit analysis for IPMSMs are based on a rotate synchronous d-q reference frame. The mathematical model of the d-q frame voltage equations is used frequently for the analysis of IPMSMs. This program can consider a cross saturation effect and a iron loss and mechanical loss, and provide fast analysis results of IPMSMs characteristics.

혼합기의 유동 및 점화조건에 따른 초기화염의 전파특성 (The influence of Mixture Flow and the Ignition Conditions on the Initial Flame Propagation Characteristics)

  • Initial flame development and propagation were visualized under the new ignition system developed to estimate the effects of ignition characteristics on the engine performance in a port injection SI engine. Effects of intake air flow characteristics were also investigated by three different kinds of the swirl control valve. Experiments were performed in an optical single cylinder engine modified form a commercial engine. Flame images were captured through the quartz window mounted in the piston by the high speed video camera and analyzed to compare initial flame development. Results show that IMEP tends to rise slightly as the ignition duration gets longer. The direction of flame propagation is decisively governed by the in-cylinder flow motion. Every flame grows toward the exhaust valve forming a kind of turbulent flame. Initial flame propaagation characteristics are very similar to ones analyzed form pressure data.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the transforming characteristics of village at the urban fringe, which are influenced by the urbanization. Three areas in the urban fringe are selected for the case study. The changed conditions in the spatial structure of those areas are reviewed through following factors : street system, an entrance of village, a boundary of village, community facility, development density, housing type, building use. The transforming characteristics are analyzed as a result of the research. In result, the community facility, development density, housing type and building use are changed largly in the transforming characteristics.

Simulation and Experiment of Distorted LFM Signals in Shallow Water Environment

  • This paper attempts to examine the characteristics of underwater acoustic signals distorted in shallow water environments. Time signals are simulated using an acoustic model that employs the Fourier synthesis scheme. An acoustic experiment was conducted in the shallow sea near Pohang, Korea, where water depth is about 60m. The environment in the simulation is set up so that it approximates the experimental condition, which can be regarded as range-independent. The signal is LFM(linar frequency modulated) type centered on one of the four frequencies 200, 400, 600 and 800Hz, each being swept up or down with the bandwidth of 100Hz. To analyze the signal characteristics, the study introduces a spectrum estimation scheme, pseudo Wigner-Ville distribution (PWVD). The simulated and measured signals suffer great interference by the interaction of neighboring rays. Although there are constructive or destructive interference, the signals keep LFM characteristics well. This is thought that only a few dominant rays of small loss contribute to the receive signals in a shallow water environment.

  • 최근 선진각국은 회복탄성계수를 적용한 포장 설계.해석법의 적용을 확대해 나가고 있다. 특히, 1986년 AASHTO도로 포장구조설계지침의 변경이후 다양한 포장재료에 대한 합리적 인 시험 방법의 정립 및 Mn특성규명에 대한 연구들이 활발히 수행되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가까운시일내 에 우리나라에서도 MR적용포장설계, 해석법의 적용이 불가피함을 고려하여, 이에 필요한 가장 기 본 적인 내용이라 할 수 있는국내 여건에 적합한 노상토의 Mr시험 방법의 정립, 국내 노상토의 Mr특성 및 MR-CBR상관관계에 대해서 논의하였다.

  • Color characteristics of a dark state in the IPS-mode depending on viewing direction have been studied. IPS-mode is having a little variation of $d{\Delta}n$ with viewing angle since the LC rotates in plane. However, this mode shows asymmetric light leakage and color characteristics with viewing angle in a dark state. This drawback can be overcome by optimized retardation value of TAC film, pre-tilt angle & $d{\Delta}n$ of LC.
