Research on Character's Consistency in AI-Generated Paintings

  • This study aims to explore the issue of character consistency in AI-generated artwork. First, the concept of character consistency is explained, including the consistency of appearance, actions, and lighting, and its importance in continuous creation and storytelling is analyzed. Next, the study examines current mainstream AI drawing tools such as MidJourney and Stable Diffusion-based WebUI and ComfyUI, evaluating their strengths and limitations in maintaining character consistency. Finally, methods to improve AI drawing technology were proposed to enhance character consistency, aiming to achieve a higher level of consistency in AI art creation.

Midjourney continually updates its database and algorithms to enhance user experience, with a focus on character consistency. This paper's examination of the latest V6 version of Midjourney reveals notable advancements in its characteristics and design principles, especially in the realm of character generation. By comparing V6 with its predecessors, this study underscores the significant strides made in ensuring consistent character portrayal across different plots and timelines.Such improvements in AI-driven character consistency are pivotal for storytelling. They ensure coherent and reliable character representation, which is essential for narrative clarity, emotional resonance, and overall effectiveness. This coherence supports a more immersive and engaging storytelling experience, fostering deeper audience connection and enhancing creative expression.The findings of this study encourage further exploration of Midjourney's capabilities for artistic innovation. By leveraging its advanced character consistency, creators can push the boundaries of storytelling, leading to new and exciting developments in the fusion of technology and art.

아동의 항상성개념 발달에 관한 연구 - 자신 및 타인의 개인특성을 중심으로 - (Development of the Character Constancy Concept: Self and Others)

  • The purpose of the present research was to investigate (I) the acquisition of character constancy of self and others as a function of age; (2) the pattern of acquisition of character constancy, and (3) the relationships between character constancy and conservation of number and mass. The subjects of this study were 160 children, 20 boys and 20 girls at each grade level, kindergarter through grade 3. The Character Constancy Tasks devised bi Rotenberg (1982) and conservation task of number and mass were administered to each child. Chi square, Guttman Scale analysis and Pearson's Correlation were used for the statistical analysis of data. The findings showed that there was increase with age in character constancy of others and of sell in that there was increase with age in children's belief that the characteristics of another person are stable across time and consistent despite changes in a person's appearance. Character constancy of others and of self were acquired in the developmental stages of identity, stability, and consistency. Character constancy of others and self correlated with the conservation of number and mass.

인터넷 쇼핑몰 이용자의 의식 및 이미지 특성 분석 - 대학생을 중심으로 - (Analysis on the Consciousness and Image Character of the Internet Shopping Mall Consumer)

  • This study deals with the analysis on the consciousness and image character of the internet shopping mall. As consciousness analysis result of internet shopping mall consumer, 'cheap price' and 'convenience' are evaluated high by reason that buy goods/service. 'Delivery delay' shows that deficiency of swiftness is indicated preferentially by shortcoming when the goods/service are purchased at the internet shopping mall. Consumer is prferring most 'deferred payment' with consumer's protection system of internet shopping mall. In image character of internet shopping mall, computer system speed and swiftness of reaction time, intimacy of shopping mall site design, delivery system trustability, goods/service contiguity, trustability of billing system, recognition shopping mall company, consistency about good service etc., showed high assessment, but comparative satisfaction is not high in solution at authoritativeness of personal information leakage prevention, problem occurrence.

수학적 창의·인성 검사도구 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of a Testing Tool for Mathematical Creativity and Character)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the possibility of integrating creativity and character education and its need in mathematics education by developing and validating a testing tool assessing students' perceptions of mathematical creativity and character. For this purpose, we developed sixty questions in total to extract factors of mathematical creativity and character based on a literature review. Then, questionnaire data were collected for 1258 middle school students. After the collected data were randomly divided into two (n1=615, n2=643), the first group of data was used for exploratory factor analysis and the second one was employed for confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, 45 problems showing nine factors were extracted. The cognitive components of creativity includes divergent thinking, convergent thinking, imagination/visualization, and reasoning, whereas its affective components are interest, motivation, and openness. The character components contain participation, communication, responsibility, and promise. In addition, it is concluded that the developed testing tool, in which character in the model of this study impacts creativity meaningfully, has a measurement consistency which is not affected by gender and grade differences. These results have implications for a guide to curriculum development promoting creativity and character at school by showing objective and practical foundations of helping how to integrate creativity and character education.

멀티플레이어 온라인 게임을 위한 하이브리드 구조의 복제와 일관성 제어 기법 (Replication and Consistency Control in Hybrid Architectures for Multiplayer Online Games)

  • 인터넷을 이용하는 멀티플레이어 온라인 게임(MOG)은 전형적으로 클라이언트-서버 또는 peer-to-peer 구조를 기반으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 두 가지 구조의 장점을 활용하기 위하여 클라이언트-서버 구조와 peer-to-peer 구조를 결합하는 방법을 제시한다. 대부분의 멀티플레이어 온라인 게임들은 객체마다 강력한 일관성 제어를 제공하고자 기본 사본을 갖는 복제 기법을 사용한다. 이 기법에서 각 객체와 캐릭터는 기본 사본이라고 하는 절대적 사본과 2차 사본이라고 하는 복제본들로 구성된다. 객체에 대한 갱신은 기본 사본에서 먼저 수행되어야만 한다. 제시된 하이브리드 구조에서는 기본 사본들이 서버 또는 클라이언트에 존재할 수 있다. 이러한 구조에서는 서버가 유지하는 객체의 수를 감소시킴으로써 서버와 클라이언트들 간의 부하 조정이 가능하다. 게임은 일관성 요건이 상이한 다양한 액션의 유형들로 구성된다. 게임 일관성에 대해서는 성능과 일관성 간에 적절한 상충 관계를 제공할 수 있는 여러 수준의 기법이 합리적이다. 본 논문에서 기본 사본 모델을 갖는 하이브리드 게임 구조에 대한 성능 분석 결과가 기술된다.

임상간호인성 측정도구 개발 (Development and Validation of Nurse's Character Scale for Care in Clinical Settings)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a Nurse's Character Scale for Care in Clinical settings (NCS_C). Methods: The NCS_C was developed and validated as follows: Item generation, preliminary test of questionnaire, and tests of validity and reliability. One hundred and thirty six preliminary items were developed through a literature review and in-depth interviews by 10 nurse-experts and five patients. The content validity of the items was verified through an evaluation by five nurses and seven professors in the fields of Korean literature, pedagogy and nursing. Finally, 53 items were confirmed through item analysis, factor analysis and validity tests including convergent, discriminant and concurrent validities. Data were analyzed using factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficients, and Cronbach's alpha. Results: Thirteen factors evolved from the factor analysis, which explained 63.1% of the total variance. The factors referred to the union of two dimensions: the professional dimension and the interpersonal dimension. The internal consistency, Cronbach's alpha, was .95, and reliability of the subscales ranged from .58 to .87. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the NCS_C is a reliable and valid primary scale to measure nurses' or students' character level for better care in clinical settings.

제한된 모션 센서와 애니메이션 데이터를 이용한 캐릭터 동작 제어 (Character Motion Control by Using Limited Sensors and Animation Data)

  • 디지털 스토리텔링에 등장하는 3차원 가상 캐릭터에는 외형뿐만 아니라 자세나 동작에서도 캐릭터의 개성이 반영된 고유의 스타일이 부여된다. 그러나 사용자가 웨어러블 동작센서를 사용하여 직접 캐릭터의 신체 동작을 제어하는 경우 캐릭터 고유의 스타일이 무시될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 가상 캐릭터를 위해 제작된 소량의 애니메이션 데이터만을 이용하는 검색 기반 캐릭터 동작 제어 기술을 사용하여 캐릭터 고유의 스타일을 유지하는 기술을 제시한다. 대량의 학습 데이터를 필요로하는 기계학습법을 피하는 대신 소량의 애니메이션 데이터로부터 사용자의 자세와 유사한 캐릭터 자세를 직접 검색하여 사용하는 기술을 제안한다. 제시된 방법을 검증하기 위해 전문가에 의해 제작된 가상현실 게임용 캐릭터 모델과 애니메이션 데이터를 사용하여 실험하였다. 평범한 사람의 모션캡쳐 데이터를 사용했을 때와의 결과를 비교하여 캐릭터 스타일이 보존됨을 증명하였다. 또한 동작센서의 개수를 달리한 실험을 통해 제시된 방법의 확장성을 증명하였다.

일본인 대상자를 통해 살펴본 KIOM 체질 설문지의 신뢰도 평가 (A Study on the Reliability Assessment of Sasang Constitution Questionnaire Developed by KIOM for Japanese)

  • 1. Objectives : This study aimed to assessing the reliability of questionnaire for Japanese as one of method to diagnose Sasang Constitution and evaluating the possibility of applying domestic questionnaire to foreign site. 2. Methods : A cross-sectional survey approved by IRB (Independent Review Board) at Tohoku University was performed for 119 participants with informed consent at a particular city in Japan using self-reported questionnaires developed by KIOM (Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine). Among the entire samples, 112 were retested. The test-retest reliability was assessed by Kappa for normal variables and internal consistency was evaluated by Cronbach's alpha. 3. Results : Four of 77 questions are impossible to calculate consistency owing to unsymmetric matrix between primary reply and secondary one. Seventeen of them (22%) showed 0.4 or below in Kappa, 56 were ranged from 0.4 to 0.8 and no question marked 0.8 or over. Internal consistency was possibly checked for several questions about character, digestion, sweat, excrement, urine, cold-heat pattern. Cronbach's alpha for questions except urine and cold-heat pattern was over 0.6 4. Conclusions : On the basis of Kappa value by two self reported questionnaire, 72.7% of questions showed 0.4 or over so that reliability were highly secured. And other questions except for urine and heat-cold pattern marked 0.6 or over in order that internal consistency was also successfully maintained. Accordingly, when subsequently applying KIOM questionnaire to foreign site, domestic questionnaire should be properly adjusted in social and cultural background, lifestyle, etc.

협력적 문제해결 중심 교수모델(CoProC)을 적용한 과학 수업이 공업계열 특성화고 학생들의 인성 역량과 과학의 정의적 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Science Classes Applying Collaborative Problem solving for Character Competency (CoProC) on the Character Competence and Scientific Affective Characteristics of Vocational High School Students)

  • 이 연구는 협력적 문제해결 중심 교수모델(CoProC)을 적용한 과학 수업이 공업계열 특성화고 학생들의 인성 역량과 과학의 정의적 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 공업계열 특성화 고등학교 화학공업과 2학년 2개 학급 43명을 대상으로 인성 역량 및 과학의 정의적 특성 검사지, 각 모둠별 논의 과정 음성 녹음본, 수업 되돌아보기 활동지를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 인성 역량 검사 총점에서 실험집단 학생들은 비교집단 학생들보다 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였으며 9개의 하위 인성 역량 요소에서 비교집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 과학의 정의적 특성 검사 결과, 실험집단 학생들은 총점에서 비교집단 학생들보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높게 나타났으며, 흥미의 일관성을 제외한 7개의 하위 요소에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 따라서 협력적 문제해결 중심 교수모델(CoProC)을 적용한 과학 수업은 공업계열 특성화고 학생들의 인성 역량과 과학의 정의적 특성을 향상시키는데 효과가 있었다.
