주사용 미세유량 조절기 설계와 제작 (Design and Fabrication of a Microflow Rate Controller for Medical Injection)

  • A new microflow rate controller for medical injection was developed and evaluated. The flow rate was controlled by changing the friction depth as well as the friction length of the micro-channel. A precise micro-fabrication of the micro-channel was requested for an accurate flow control. The friction depth was inversely proportional to the friction length, which gives a linear flow control to the channel length. The channel groove was fabricated with a plastic material. A rubber containing silicone oil was covered over the groove, which satisfies both lubrication and leakage prevention. The flow controller was validated by performing the numerical simulation and experiment. A good agreement was shown between computation and experiment.

다양한 크기의 마이크로 채널 내에서 이동하는 세포의 가시화 및 이동 속도 측정 (Visualization and Velocity Measurement of Migrating Cells in Microchannels with Various Width)

  • In this paper, we applied various microfluidic chambers to visualize cell migration and measured the migration velocity in microchannels. Migration speed of B16 cell in a large channel was similar with that of wound healing experiment. However, the speed decreased gradually as the cell move inside of the channel. It is expected that this phenomenon is due to the shortage of oxygen or nutrition, whichare essential for cell growth. In the case of cell in the small channel whose size is smaller than the cell, its speed was slower than that in a larger channel.

  • The vegetation in the surrounding area of river is a primary factor to increase water level during flood. The influence of vegetation on the river flow in a bank has been investigated by using a hydraulic experiment. For a hydraulic experiment square-shaped piers are used as a model of unsubmerged rigid vegetation in a open channel. For fully developed uniform flows, the water elevation of the experiment was measured as varying the interval of piers and the porosity which presents the fraction of water flowing area in the cross-sectional area. The Manning's roughness coefficient, which implicates energy losses due to the vegetation, was obtained by using the experimental data. As a result, the energy losses were varied when the distance of piers and the porosity of area were changed, and the Manning's coefficient increased nonlinearly when a water elevation increased.

전기밥솥 FCT 검사 자동화 System의 검사 신뢰성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Inspection Reliability Evaluation of Electric Rice Cooker FCT Inspection Automation System)

  • This study has focused on the reliability evaluation of FCT inspection automation equipment for electric rice. To evaluate the reliability of FCT inspection automation equipment, voice analysis, Gray/R/G/B channel experiment, FND segment experiment, and robot position repeatability were performed. In the voice analysis experiment, the comparison value between the recorded and digital output waves was over 99%, indicating a very high result. It was confirmed that both the gray/R/G/B experiment using vision and the FND segment could confirm the output value of the product through vision. The position repeatability of the robot is also excellent, so it is concluded that the inspection effect through the FCT automation system will be excellent.

  • 작은 장치 스케일과 낮은 Reynolds number를 수반하는 마이크로 채널에서의 혼합효율 최대화를 위하여 사각형 장애물을 이용한 Passive 마이크로 믹서의 최적 설계를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 구조가 단순한 Y-Channel내부에 사각형 장애물의 개수와 그 크기, 그리고 위치를 변화시켜가면서 비정렬 해석 기법을 이용하여 해석을 수행하였다. 또한 최대 허용 압력 강하값을 제한 조건으로 설정하여 제한조건을 만족하면서 혼합 효율을 최대화하는 Y-Channel 형상의 최적화를 수행하였다. 이를 통하여 2개의 사각형 장애물을 사용할 경우 원형 장애물의 결과와 비교했을 때 최대 2.5% 혼합 효율이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

Distributed Channel Allocation Using Kernel Density Estimation in Cognitive Radio Networks

  • Typical channel allocation algorithms for secondary users do not include processes to reduce the frequency of switching from one channel to another caused by random interruptions by primary users, which results in high packet drops and delays. In this letter, with the purpose of decreasing the number of switches made between channels, we propose a nonparametric channel allocation algorithm that uses robust kernel density estimation to effectively schedule idle channel resources. Experiment and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm outperforms both random and parametric channel allocation algorithms in terms of throughput and packet drops.

  • 수동 시역전 기법은 시공간적인 집속효과를 통해 다중경로 채널응답에 의한 인접 심볼간 간섭의 영향을 줄임으로써 수중통신 시스템의 오류 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법이다. 이러한 수동 시역전 기법은 일반적으로 시역전 결합에 사용되는 수신신호가 많을수록 큰 공간 다이버시티 이득을 얻기 때문에 많은 수의 수신기를 사용할 때 우수한 통신 성능을 얻을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제한된 개수의 수신기를 사용하더라도 많은 수의 수신기를 사용할 때와 근접한 통신 성능을 얻을 수 있는 수신기의 개수와 조합에 대해 분석한다. 분석을 위해 2015년 5월에 제주 남서쪽 해역에서 수행된 SAVEX15(Shallow-water Acoustic Variability Experiment 2015) 실험 데이터를 활용한다. 음향채널이 존재하는 채널 특성 때문에 에너지가 집중되는 수심이 존재하였고 에너지가 집중되는 수심에 존재하는 수신기를 포함하여 수동 시역전 결합을 할 때, 일부의 수신기만을 사용하여 최적에 가까운 통신 성능을 도출할 수 있음을 보인다.

채널 형상에 따른 마이크로채널 PCHE의 열전달 및 압력강하 특성 (The Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop Characteristics on Microchannel PCHE with various Configurations)

  • A microchannel PCHE is manufactured by the two technologies of micro photo-etching and diffusion bonding. In this paper, heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics by applying various configuration for the flow channel in the microchannel PCHE is experimentally investigated. The flow channel configurations are designed three types such as straight, wavy and offset strip channels. The performance experiment of each configuration is performed for Reynolds numbers in ranges of $100{\sim}700$ under various flow conditions for the hot side and the Reynolds number of cold side is fixed at 350. The inlet temperatures of the hot side and cold side are conducted as $40^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$, respectively. The heat transfer performance of wavy channel, which was similar to that of offset strip channel, was much higher than that of straight channel. The effectiveness of wavy channel and offset strip channel was evaluated as about $0.5{\sim}0.9$. The pressure drop of wavy channel was highest among configurations and that of offset strip channel was lower than that of straight channel because the round curved surface of each strip edge was reduced the pressure loss.

다채널 편평관의 응축 열전달 및 압력강하특성에 관한 실험 (Experiment on condensation heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics in the multi-channel flat tube)

  • In this study, an experiment was performed to investigate the characteristics of pressure drop and heat transfer of multi-channel tubes for automotive condenser using HFC-134a as an alternative refrigerant. The mass flux and inlet saturation pressure of the refrigerant were controlled, respectively, in the range of 200 to $500kg/m^2s$ and 1.0 to 1.6MPa. Pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient were compared with the previously proposed correlations and new correlations based on Traviss' correlation were suggested. Prediction of pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient based on the new correlations agrees with experimental results within ${\pm}9%$ and -18~+11%, respectively.

채널형 열교환기의 성능향상에 관한 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis for the Performance Improvement of a Channel Heat Exchanger)

  • The shell & tube heat exchanger is used throughout various industries because of its inexpensive cost and handiness when it comes to maintenance. However, it has many design elements such as the location and the shape of inlet and outlet, the numbers of tubes and baffles, etc. Also, the flow within the shell and the heat transfer are complex. This paper is performed numerical analysis to evaluate capabilities of difference in temperature and pressure drop, which are the performance of channel heat exchanger, one of different types of shell & tube exchanger. Also, factors that affect the performance of channel heat exchanger were selected through design of experiment along with key factors.
