CR(Cognitive Radio) technology is maximized frequency reuse using unused frequency band. Conventional cooperative spectrum sensing has fixed false alarms. so all cooperative user has equal threshold. This problem is caused degradation of detection probability. so we propose and analysis the system model that false alarm differential setting through CSI(channel state information) for resonable threshold. Simulation results show improvement of detection probability.

The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) has been strongly recommended as a transmission technique in order to satisfy requests of high speed and high quality multimedia information. This paper considers resource allocation algorithm which supports the user Quality of Service(QoS) for multi-user OFDM system with simple CSI (Channel State Information) structure. After users eligible for services and the number of subcarrier are determined by minimum request data rate and average channel gain, subcarriers are allocated to increase total transmission rates. Although ideal CSI is not reported to base station, compared to conventional algorithm, we have obtained better result with simple CSI structure.

Over the past few years, Wi-Fi signal based indoor positioning system (IPS) has been researched extensively because of its low expenses of infrastructure deployment. There are two major aspects of location-related information contained in Wi-Fi signals. One is channel state information (CSI), and one is received signal strength indicator (RSSI). Compared to the RSSI, the CSI has been widely utilized because it is able to reveal fine-grained information related to locations. However, the conventional IPS that employs a single access point (AP) does not exhibit decent performance especially in the environment of non-line-of-sight (NLOS) situations due to the reliability degeneration of signals caused by multipath fading effect. In order to address this problem, in this paper, we propose a novel method that utilizes multiple APs instead of a single AP to enhance the robustness of the IPS. In our proposed method, a hybrid neural network is applied to the CSIs collected from multiple APs. By relying more on the fingerprint constructed by the CSI collected from an AP that is less affected by the NLOS, we find that the performance of the IPS is significantly improved.

In this paper, we propose a pilot based channel estimation technique in two-way relay networks. We propose to transmit a pilot symbol together with the data symbol during transmission. In absence of Channel State Information (CSI), destination uses the pilot symbol to estimate the channel. In this system, the relay amplifies the pilot and the data symbol then forward them to the destination using amplify and forward (AF) protocol. We assume that the relay gain is fixed, so the relay does not need to estimate the channel, the destination only estimate the channel. We apply well-known Least-square (LS) and minimum mean-square error (MMSE) channel estimation methods to estimate the channel.
In-band wireless full-duplex is a promising technology that enables a wireless node to transmit and receive at the same time on the same frequency band. Due to the complexity of self-interference cancellation techniques, only base stations (BSs) are expected to be full-duplex capable while user terminals remain as legacy half-duplex nodes in the near future. In this case, two different nodes share a single subchannel, one for uplink and the other for downlink, which causes inter-node interference between them. In this paper, we investigate the joint problem of subchannel assignment and power allocation in a single-cell full-duplex orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) network considering the inter-node interference. Specifically, we consider two different scenarios: i) The BS knows full channel state information (CSI), and ii) the BS obtains limited CSI through channel feedbacks from nodes. In the full CSI scenario, we design sequential resource allocation algorithms which assign subchannels first to uplink nodes and then to downlink nodes or vice versa. In the limited CSI scenario, we identify the overhead for channel measurement and feedback in full-duplex networks. Then we propose a novel resource allocation scheme where downlink nodes estimate inter-node interference with low complexity. Through simulation, we evaluate our approaches for full and limited CSIs under various scenarios and identify full-duplex gains in various practical scenarios.

Coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission has been regarded as a potential technology for LTE-Advanced. In frequency division duplexing systems, channel quantization is applied for reporting channel state information (CSI). Considering the dynamic number of cooperation base stations (BSs), asymmetry feature of CoMP channels and high searching complexity, simply increasing the size of the codebook used in traditional multiple antenna systems to quantize the global CSI of CoMP systems directly is infeasible. Per-cell codebook based channel quantization to quantize local CSI for each BS separately is an effective method. In this paper, the theoretical upper bounds of system throughput are derived for two codeword selection schemes, independent codeword selection (ICS) and joint codeword selection (JCS), respectively. The feedback overhead and selection complexity of these two schemes are analyzed. In the simulation, the system throughput of ICS and JCS is compared. Both analysis and simulation results show that JCS has a better tradeoff between system throughput and feedback overhead. The ICS has obvious advantage in complexity, but it needs additional phase information (PI) feedback for obtaining the approximate system throughput with JCS. Under the same number of feedback bits constraint, allocating the number of bits for channel direction information (CDI) and PI quantization can increase the system throughput, but ICS is still inferior to JCS. Based on theoretical analysis and simulation results, some recommendations are given with regard to the application of each scheme respectively.

This paper investigates the impact of outdated channel state information (CSI) on the performance of the incremental amplify-and-forward (AF) opportunistic relaying (OR) over dual-hop Rayleigh fading channels. According to the definition of distribution function, we obtain the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the actual combined signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) received at the destination. Based on this CDF, the closed-form expressions of the average spectral efficiency and outage probability are derived for the incremental AF OR under outdated CSI. Numerical results show that in the low region of the average SNR of the direct link, outdated CSI deteriorates the system performance, whereas in the high region, outdated CSI has almost no impact on the system performance.

The sum-rate maximization rule can find an optimal user set that maximizes the sum capacity in multiple input multiple output (MIMO) broadcast channels (BCs), but the search space for finding the optimal user set becomes prohibitively large as the number of users increases. The proposed algorithm selects a user set of the largest effective channel norms based on statistical channel state information (CSI) for reducing the computational complexity, and uses Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) for minimizing the interference between selected users in time-varying MIMO BCs.
User scheduling boosts the Multi-User Multi-Input Multi-Output (MU-MIMO) gain by selecting an optimal set of users to increase the 802.11 Wi-Fi system capacities. Many kinds of user scheduling algorithms, however, fail to realize the advantages of MU-MIMO due to formidable Channel State Information (CSI) overhead. In this paper, we propose a user scheduling method considering such CSI exchange overhead and its MAC protocol, called ACE (Active CSI Exchange based User Scheduling for MU-MIMO Transmission). Unlike most proposals, where user scheduling is performed after an Access Point (AP) receives CSI from all users, ACE determines the best user set during the CSI exchange phase. In particular, the AP broadcasts a channel hint about previously scheduled users, and the remaining users actively send CSI reports according to their Effective Channel Gains (ECGs) calculated from the hint. Through trace-driven MATLAB simulations, we prove that the proposed scheme improves the throughput gain significantly.

In this paper, we consider an amplify-and-forward (AF) full-duplex relay network (FDRN) using simultaneous wireless information and power transfer, where a battery-free relay node harvests energy from the received radio frequency (RF) signals from a source node and uses the harvested energy to forward the source information to destination node. The time-switching relaying (TSR) protocol is studied, with the assumption that the channel state information (CSI) at the relay node is imperfect. We deliver a rigorous analysis of the outage probability of the proposed system. Based on the outage probability expressions, the optimal time switching factor are obtained via the numerical search method. The simulation and numerical results provide practical insights into the effect of various system parameters, such as the time switching factor, the noise power, the energy harvesting efficiency, and the channel estimation error on the performance of this network. It is also observed that for the imperfect CSI case, the proposed scheme still can provide acceptable outage performance given that the channel estimation error is bounded in a permissible interval.
