The purpose of this study was to explore the process of smoking behavior of college women with a history of smoking. The subject were 48 female students selected by theoretical sampling from a womens' university in Korea. The data were collected by in-depth interviews using audiotape recordings done over a period of seven months. The data were analyzed simultaneously by a constant comparative method in which new data were continuously coded into categories and properties according to strauss and corbin's methodology. Analysis of the data resulted in identification of 15 categories representing 34 concepts. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Smoking in college women is caused by either curiosity or antagonism toward male smokers 2. The meaning(phenomena) of smoking behavior in college women is justifiable or regretable 3. Smoking occurs in connection with eating, during period of psychological conflict or as an habitual practice 4. Smoking behavior is related to the perception of harmfulness to health, influence of others and the accessability of cigarettes. 5. College women experinced a change in their state of health, emotional relaxation, change in their social relationships It is suggested that the results of this study may contribute to the development of strategies for the purpose of decreasing smoking behavior among female college students.

From a social psychological perspective, Make-up is an tool for run a lot smoother and perform communication efficiently. Many people give a turn to hair color through dyeing form due to yearning to change individual image through the image which the color is having. This paper study how make-up behavior, hair color and self-consciousness will affect the Level of Expected social-psychological effect of College Girl Students. In the sense of make-up behavior, according to result, a group of make-up behavior of self-satisfaction-oriented the level of expected social-psychological effect higher than a group of make-up behavior of tradition-oriented. Hair colors doesn't seem to be having much effect on the level of expected social- psychological effect, but have been shown to influence make-up behavior and self-consciousness. On the self-consciousness, a group of high self-consciousness the level of expected social-psychological effect higher than a group of low or fair self-consciousness. They doesn't have much effect passive expected effect as 'complement of self insufficiency' or 'a person consciousness' But they are affect active expected effect as 'the pleasure of change' and 'positive ascent'.

In this work, the changes in the friction force(lateral force) with respect to nanoscale geometric variation were investigated using an Atomic Force Microscope and a Lateral Force Microscope. It could be concluded that the changes in the friction force correspond well to the slope change rather than the surface slope itself, and that the influence of slope change on the frictional behavior is dependent on the magnitude of the slope and the torsional stiffness of the cantilever. Also, the nominal friction force is found to be more significantly affected by the material and the physical-chemical state of the surface rather than by nanoscale geometric steps. However, the change in nanoscale geometric details of the surface cause instantaneous change and slight variation in the friction signal.

This study investigates the effect of environmental club activities of the creative experiential learning activities on the improvement of students' Environmental Literacy and Pro-environmental Behavior. For that purpose, This study divided 24 students at Jinhae U Elementary School into test groups of 12 students and Control groups of 12 students. Test groups participated in the 'GomGomi' environmental Club for sixteen times from March 2011 to December 2011. Conclusions of this study include; First, we found that the environmental club activities is effective to improve the students' environmental Literacy overall. Specifically, the Environmental Club Activities was effective in the sub-catagories of environmental Literacy such as 'rights of nature' and 'eco-crisis'. However, there was no significant change in the sub-category of 'human exemptionalism' Second, we found that the environmental club activities is effective to improve students' pro-environmental behavior overall. Specifically, the environmental club activities was effective in the sub-domains of Pro-environmental Behavior such as 'cognitive domain' and 'affective domain'. However, there was no significant change in the sub-domains of 'behavioral domain'. Summary, the environmental club activities was shown to be effective for improving their environmental literacy and pro-environmental behavior; This study implies that the environmental club activities of the creative experiential learning activities would be a effective tool to help students to improve their environmental literacy and pro-environmental behavior.

This study is a cross-sectional research study that analyzed the relationship between emotional regulation behavior and knowledge related to dementia among various age groups in order to collect basic data to reveal the relationship between the characteristics of emotional regulation of dementia patients before dementia and the symptoms of rapid emotional change after dementia. Data collection was from March 1 to March 20, 2024, and a total of 223 people were voluntarily participating in the study from their 20s to 70s. The collected data were t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis using sps 18.0. The analysis showed that people who normally act pretentiously were not related to dementia-related knowledge, but those who act honestly had an impact on dementia-related content knowledge (t=14.808, p<0.01), treatment knowledge of dementia (t=7.916, p<0.01), and knowledge of nursing dementia (t=12.453, p<0.01) under a statistical significance level. And it was found that the inner behavior of emotional regulation behavior had an effect on dementia knowledge at 49.8%, the effect on treatment knowledge was 22.1%, and the effect on nursing knowledge was 41.2%. (p<0.01). Based on the results of this study, we propose a continuous study on how emotional behavior before dementia is related to rapid emotional change behavior after dementia disease.

Purpose: This study was conducted for comparison of salty taste assessment, salty taste preference, high-salt dietary attitude, and high-salt dietary behavior by stages of behavior change among school-aged children and adolescents. Methods: A total of 1,595 students (1,126 school- aged children, 469 adolescents) from 43 elementary schools and 17 middle and high schools in Daegu were tested using salty taste kits and surveyed using questionnaires on stages of behavior change, high-salt dietary attitude, and behavior. Results: Adolescents showed a significantly higher result for salty taste assessment than school-aged children (p < 0.01). In salty taste assessment, the students of pre-contemplation stage (n = 498) and contemplation stage (n = 686) showed higher scores than students of action stage (n = 351) and maintenance stage (n = 60). Regarding the salty taste preference, students of maintenance stage preferred the lower two samples (0.08%, 0.16%) and students of pre-contemplation stage preferred the higher two samples (0.63%, 1.25%). High-salt dietary attitude scores and dietary behavior scores were highest for students of pre-contemplation stage and were lowest for students of maintenance stage. Conclusion: Salty taste assessment, high-salt dietary attitude, and high-salt dietary behavior were significantly different by stages of behavior change among school-aged children and adolescents. This study suggests the need for examination of the stages of behavior change before nutrition education for effective education.
The relationships between children's health behavior and variables that effect children's health behavior has been investigated in a number of previous studies. This study was conducted to examine the effects of a peer's social reinforcement on children's dental health behavior in an elementary school. The research design was a nonequivalent pre and post-test quasi-experimental design and the study subjects with one hundred and thirteen eight to nine years old children, and their mothers (57 experimental group, 56 control group) were selected as a study group. Subjects were selected by the convenience sampling method. The study was carried out in an elementary school in Namwon city, Korea, from the 26th of April to the 12th of June in 1999. Data were collected in both the pre and post-test portions. Using the "Health Belief Model", each item of the questionnaire for measurement of dental health behavior was modified and administered for the children and their mothers. The questionnaire for the measurement of dental health behavior was developed by Oh, Y.B.(1994). The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of the questionnaire for children were .81, and for the mother were .79. In this study, the health belief model consists of "perceived susceptibility", "perceived seriousness", "perceived barrier", "perceived salience", and "perceived benefit". The questionnaire for the children was composed of 37 items, and the questionnaire for the mother was composed of 40 items. Data were analyzed by frequency, ${\chi}^2-test$, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation, and multiple regression analysis by a SAS program. The results of this study were summarized as follows ; 1. The first hypothesis that the experimental group would have more change in the frequency of brushing per week than that of control group was accepted(t=3.817, p=0.000). Mean tooth brushing scores in the experimental group improved significantly from pre-test to post-test, but in the control group there was no significant improvement in tooth brushing scores. 2. The second hypothesis that the experimental group would have more change in score of dental health behavior than that of control group was accepted(benefit : t=2.804, p=0.006, salience: t=2.608, p=0,010). An evaluation between the experimental group and the control group showed significant change from pre-test to post-test in health behavior scores. 3. The third hypothesis that higher scores of social reinforcement would create more change in the scores of tooth brushing frequency in the experimental group was accepted(${\beta}$=0.169, p=0.000. Multiple regression was used to examine the peer's social reinforcement scores and the relative influence of significant variables in previous ANOVA and Pearson's correlation test on children's frequency of brushing during the post-test. The results of the study indicated that the combination of social reinforcement of peers with variables pertaining to mother and householder were significantly related and effectively improved a child's tooth brushing.
Object: To analyze the effect of a media-campaign for "walking exercise participation improvement", which impacted walking-related awareness and behavior change of residents in Seoul. Method: This study used three campaign media including printing information, walking exercise indication board and a public advertisement of cable TV to lead a walking-related awareness change and practice frequency(number of days per week walking) and time(minutes per day walking) of walking exercise. To evaluate the exposure and message-recall levels of a campaign and effects of awareness change and walking practice, this study used a questionnaire survey(N=377). Result: 1) Group of exposure to campaign more participate and had the higher frequency(p=.015) and time(p=.023) in walking exercise and in comparison with group of nonexposure. 2) Group of changed awareness to campaign more participate and had the higher frequency and time in walking exercise and in comparison with group of no changed perception(p <.05). 3) Level of message recall of ${\ulcorner}$printing information${\lrcorner}$ was associated with number of days per week walking, and level of message recall of ${\ulcorner}$public advertisement of cable TV${\lrcorner}$ was associated with minutes per day walking at a statistically significant level(p <.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that media campaign can enhance the success of community-based efforts to promote awareness change and walking practice.
Purpose: This paper is a report of an analysis of the concept of pro-environmental health behavior. Methods: Rodgers' method of evolutionary concept analysis was used to analyze the concept. A literature search using keywords 'pro-environmental health behavior, 'environmental health behavior', and 'eco-friendly health behavior' was conducted using PubMed, CINAHL, PsychINFO, and RISS and utilizing the results published from 1983 to 2011. Database and bibliographic searches yielded 84 records. Results: Four critical attributes of pro-environmental health behavior were identified as 'prevention and protection', 'internal process', 'altruism', and 'alternative'. Antecedents to pro-environmental health behavior were climate change, environmental pollution, and health risk. The consequences of pro-environmental health behavior were individual and social behavioral changes. Conclusion: The concept of pro-environmental health behavior developed in this project may offer information to be considered as the concept is further develop and efforts are made to measure the attributes of pro-environmental health behavior.

Bridges are exposed to constantly changing weather conditions and temperature. The temperature change is induced by a change in atmospheric temperature and solar radiation. Atmospheric temperature change acts on the whole structure. Thus, it is relatively easy to consider in the design. Solar radiation, however, causes un-uniform temperature distribution in the structure, depending on the shape of the structure and its shadows. Un-uniform temperature distribution causes a torsional moment in bridge section and a deformation of bridge. A deformation can make differences of dynamic and static behavior of bridge. In this study, the method for analysis of static and dynamic behavior considering deformation and changes of material properties due to temperature variation was developed. By this method, it is found from dynamic analysis results that the change of frequency in analysis model is similar with test results of public used cable-stayed bridge. When a temperature goes down, a frequency goes up. And it is found that the change of frequency is affected by the change of material properties.
