The Korea Aerospace Research Institute is responsible for supplying and supporting the utilization of imagery data from the Arirang satellite series for organizations affiliated with the Government Satellite Information Application Consultation. Most of them primarily utilize optical imagery, and there is a relative lack of utilization of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery. In this paper, as part of supporting the use of SAR images, we investigated SAR intensity-based change detection algorithms and their use cases that have been researched to determine SAR intensity-based change detection algorithms to be developed in the future. As a result of the research, we found that various algorithms utilizing intensity difference, correlation coefficients, histograms, or polarimetric information have been researched by numerous researchers to detect and analyze change pixels and the applications of change detection algorithms have been studied in various fields such as a city, flood, forest fire, and vegetation. This study will serve as a reference for the development of SAR change detection algorithms, intended for utilization in the Government Satellite Information Application Consultation.
The K+ and Na+ contents in the guard cells of Agave which had a characteristic of CAM plant were measured by using "Rolling technique". That results were correspond with the change of the stomatal aperture width. That is to say, stomatal movement of Agave is due to the change of K+and Na+ concentration in the guard cells. As Agave which was used in this experiment showed two peaks of which one was at 3 hour and the other was at 24 hour in stomatal aperture width, it was seemed that Agave had both characteristics of CAM and $C_3$pattern.

The thermal performance of air receiver with a change of flow direction for dish solar collector. This system is installed and operated in Incheon, Korea. The thermal capacity of the system is about 5 kW thermal. The aperture diameter of the cylindrical-shape receiver which is made of stainless steel is 100 mm, and the height is 210 mm. Experiments are being carried out to investigate the thermal performance variation of the receivers with several design parameters such as the shape of the receiver, the flow directions and the flow rate of air. First, air flows into the upper part of the receiver, which is the opposite side of the aperture. After the air flows through the inside receiver, that goes out of the receiver through 3 exits which are located near the aperture. Second, air flows into the backside of the receiver, Which is the forward side of the aperture. After the air flows through the inside receiver, that goes out of the receiver through 1 exit. The results show that the system efficiency and receiver efficiency increase as the volume flow rate increases as expected.

In this paper, a method for analyzing the dielectric constant of a planar substrate is proposed. To this end, a band-stop filter was created by adding a H-shaped resonant aperture to the ground plane of a microstrip transmission line. A planar substrate of 2 mm thickness was placed behind the ground plane of the microstrip transmission line and the change of the resonant frequency with the change of the dielectric constant of the substrate was investigated. It can be seen that the change ratio of the frequency to the reference resonant frequency is larger than that of the conventional complementary split ring resonator structure.

Dual-band microstrip antenna is designed for industrial-scientific-medical(ISM) band of 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz using finite-difference time-domain method(FDTD). Cross patch 130 by aperture in the ground plane of microstrip line is proposed as radiation element of antenna which is 2 rectangular patch is overlapped. To design antenna, change of input impedance is examined by length change of aperture and stub. And center frequency and - 10 dB bandwidth are investigated by change of length and width in radiation element. Measured result about reflection loss confirm that agree well with simulation results of FDTD and IE3D. And 3 dB beam width, front to back ratio and maximum gain is presented by measuring radiation pattern of antenna in frequency 2.43 GHz and 5.79 GHz.
The permeability coefficients were calculated by the homogenization analysis method with sufficient consideration of fracture geometry dependent on aperture change. According to the results of aperture measurements using a confocal laser scanning microscope, apertures on each measuring point display different magnitudes, indicating that fracture walls can not be assumed as parallel feature. After construction of fracture model based on the aperture values measured on each pressure level, the homogenization analysis was conducted to compute permeability coefficients. The calculated permeability coefficients distribute in the ranges of $10^{-1}~10^{-3}cm/sec$. Most of the specimens show decreasing permeability coefficients with the increase of the applied pressure. However, the decreasing rates of permeability coefficients do not show a constant trend on each pressure level. This phenomenon is well matched to the observation results of Chae et al. (2003). It proves that aperture change strongly influences on permeability characteristics. Three sections of each specimen have all different values of permeability coefficient. It suggests that the variation of permeability coefficient depends sensitively on aperture magnitudes and characteristics of fracture geometry. It is very important to consider accurate fracture geometries for analysis of permeability characteristics in rock fractures bearing different aperture distribution. Therefore, it needs to consider sufficiently the fracture geometries for calculating the permeability coefficients of fractures.

The fields at the aperture of conical horn antenna with corrugations parallel to the axis have been analyzed using FDTD(Finite Difference Time Domain). Easy calculation depending on the change of the structure of antenna and time reduction can be achieved by 2-D FDTD coding with the first-order Mur ABC(absorbing boundary condition). It is confirmed that the corrugation can reduce phase difference of field on aperture. also it is investigated that the directivity is increased by 6.1 %, 12.9%, and 28.4% with one corrugation, two corrugations, three corrugations, respectively. It is also found that the improvement of the characteristics of the antenna is not proportional to the number of the corrugation but more dependent on the location of the corrugation near the aperture than that far the aperture.
Recently, the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) has been increasingly in demand due to its advantage of being able to observe desired points regardless of time and weather. To utilize SAR data, first of all, many pre-processing such as satellite orbit correction, radiometric calibration, multi-looking, and geocoding are required. For analysis of SAR imagery such as object detection, change detection, and DEM(Digital Elevation Model), additional processings are needed. These pre-processing and additional processes are very complex and require a lot of time and computational resources. In order to handle the SAR images easily, the institutions that use SAR images develop analysis tools and provide users. This paper introduces the function and characteristics of representative SAR imagery analysis tools.
Information of target changes in inaccessible areas is very important in terms of national security. Fast and accurate change detection of targets is very important to respond quickly. Spaceborne synthetic aperture radar can acquire images with high accuracy regardless of weather conditions and solar altitude. With the recent increase in the number of SAR satellites, it is possible to acquire images with less than one day temporal resolution for the same area. This advantage greatly increases the availability of change detection for inaccessible areas. Commonly available information in satellite SAR is amplitude and phase information, and change detection techniques have been developed based on each technology. Those are amplitude Change Detection (ACD), Coherence Change Detection (CCD). Each algorithm differs in the preprocessing process for accurate automatic classification technique according to the difference of information characteristics and the final detection result of each algorithm. Therefore, by analyzing the academic research trends for ACD and CCD, each technologies can be complemented. The goal of this paper is identifying current issues of SAR change detection techniques by collecting research papers. This study would help to find the prerequisites for SAR change detection and use it to conduct periodic detection research on inaccessible areas.
