Pneumatic control systems have been mainly used as a high speed operating system. Therefore, state change of air in a control volume was assumed to be adiabatic change and, pneumatic control systems have been analyzed by using this assumption. Especially, when absolute value of pressure change in the control volume is small, there is a tendency to neglect effect of temperature change on pneumatic control system because temperature change owing to pressure change is small. In this study, an effect of temperature change of air on the decompression control process was analyzed by considering change of mass flow rate, and heat transfer characteristics between air in the chamber and the chamber wall. As a result, this study could confirm that a slight temperature change of the air in the pneumatic pressure control system can influence on the dynamic characteristics of pressure response, and pressure control performance.
Control charts are used to distinguish between chance and assignable causes in the variability of quality characteristics. When a control chart signals that an assignable cause is present, process engineers must initiate a search for the assignable cause of the process disturbance. Identifying the time of a process change could lead to simplifying the search for the assignable cause and less process down time, as well as help to reduce the probability of incorrectly identifying the assignable cause. The change point estimation by likelihood theory and the built-in change point estimation in a control chart have been discussed until now. In this article, we discuss two kinds of process change point estimation when the CUSUM ($\bar{x}$, s) control chart for monitoring process mean and variance simultaneously is operated. Throughout some numerical experiments about the performance of the change point estimation, the change point estimation techniques in the CUSUM ($\bar{x}$, s) control chart are considered.
Objective : The purpose of this studies was to determine the effect of Carthami semen, Bogol-Tang and Rhynchosia volubilis Lour. on changes of trabecular area and physiological metabolites in the ovariectomized osteoporotic Rats. Methods : In order to induce estrogen deficient osteoporosis, ovariectomy was done on rats. Then the Carthami semen, Bogol-Tang and Rhynchosia volubilis Lour. were orally administerd: Such indexes were measured as the changes of body weight, bone mineral density, trabecular area in tibia, and levels of osteocalcin, bone alkaline phosphatase, calcium, phosphorus, cholesterol, triglyceride, aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in serum. Results : 1. The change of bone mineral density in Bogol-Tang group and Rhynchosia volubilis lour. group. was significantly increased compare to control group. 2. The change of trabecular area % in epiphysis of tibia in Carthami semen group was significantly increased compare to control group. 3. The change of trabecular area % in diaphysis of tibia in Bogol-Tang group was significantly increased compare to control group. 4. The change of serum osteocalcin in Bogol-Tang group was significantly decreased compare to control group. 5. The change of serum bone alkaline phosphatase in Bogol-Tang group was significantly decreased compare to control group. 5. The change of serum bone alkaline phosphatase in Bogol-Tang group was significantly decreased compare to control group. 6. The change of1 serum calcium in Rhynchosia volubilis lour. group was significantly decreased compare to control group. 7. The change of phosphorus in Carthami semen group and Rhynchosia volubilis Lour. group was significantly decreased compare to control group. 8. The change of serum cholesterol and triglyceride of experimental groups were decreased in comparison with control group. 9. The change of serum AST(Aspartate aminotransferase : GOT) in Rhynchosia volubilis Lour. group was decreased compare to control group. 10. The change of serum ALT(Alanine aminotransferase : GPT) in Bogol-Tang group was decreased compare to control group.
Obesity in children is a major concern of public health. This study was performed to illuminate its effect on weight control program and the associated factors of obesity-related habits and obesity index in primary school obese children. Weight control program consisted of behavioral modification, nutrition education and exercise during 17 weeks. The sample consisted of treatment group(n=42) and control group(n=41). There was no statistical difference between the two groups in obesity index, socioeconomic status and grade. To assess the effects of weight control program, the subjects were given pre-test and post-test such as the measurement of anthropometric values and self-reporting questionnaire. This result of this study were as follows; 1. After weight control program was applied, there was a significant decrease in obesity index among the treatment group. Obesity-related habits score of the treatment group increased significantly, While there was not much difference between the pre-test and the post-test among the control group. But exercise habit didn't increase significantly in the both groups. 2. Correlation between obesity-related habits and obesity index were not evident. 3. After application of weight control program, the factors associated with change of eating habit were children's past experience of weight control, motivational change toward weight control program and friends' support for treatment group. The factors associated with change of exercise habit were post-test motivation score and friends' support. Motivational change toward weight control and pre-test self-efficacy of exercise behavior were counter-related to exercise habit. For change of other obesity-related habits, initial obesity index, motivational change, post-test self-efficacy score of exercise behavior and paternal educational status were closely associated. But post-test self-efficacy score of eating behavior was unrelated. 4. Only the factor of experience of weight control was associated with change of obesity index. 5. For the both groups, the factors associated with change of eating habits were post-test self-efficacy of eating behavior and family's support. The factors associated with change of exercise behavior were self-efficacy changes of exercise behavior and friends' support. The factors associated with change of other obesity-related habits were self-efficacy change of eating behavior. Initial obesity index was associated with change of obesity index. 6. The rate of dropouts from weight control program was 28.6% (12/42) in treatment group. Initial obesity index, other obesity-related habits except eating exercise habits, friend's support were associated with dropout. In conclusion, these results indicated that weight control program in primary school settings was effective. Direct exercise regimen and practice was demanded. In addition to the program itself, much of the success is dependent on the degree of motivation of the children involved and support provided by their parents and friends. Further study need to be performed under the condition that the weight control progrom is applied for a longer period.

Aging is characterized by an age-dependent reduction in bone density. Pronounced bone loss by postmenopausal estrogen deficiency induces a bad effect on dynamic balance of bone metabolism. When the bone density is reduced to the level below the fracture threshold, the risk for fracture is greatly increased. The purpose of this study is to examine what are the effects of the Yuklinzu(YLZ: 毓麟珠) on the ovariectomized rat model of postmenopausal osteoporosis. The results of the experiment are as follows: Body weight in control group showed significant increase in comparison with sham, but that in YLZ-treated showed no change in comparison with control. The level of serum albumin in control group showed significant decrease in comparison with sham. That in YLZ-treated was slightly decreased in comparison with control. The level of serum ALP activity in control group showed significant increase in comparison with sham, but that in YLZ-treated was significantly decreased in comparison with control. The level of serum phosphorous in control group showed significant increase in comparison with sham, but that in YLZ-treated showed no change in comparison with control. The level of serum calcium in control group showed no change in comparison with sham, but that in YLZ-treated was significantly decreased in comparison with control. The level of serum GOT in control group showed no change in comparison with sham, but that in YLZ-treated was significantly decreased in comparison with control. The level of serum GPT did not significant change among the three groups. The level of serum estrogen in control group showed slightly increased in comparison with sham, but that in YLZ-treated showed no change in comparison with control. The level of serum T3 in control group showed no change in comparison with sham, and that in YLZ-treated showed no change in comparison with control. The level of serum T4 in control group showed significant increase in comparison with sham, but that in YLZ-treated was significantly decreased in comparison with control. Mechanical strength of the femur neck in control group showed significant decrease in comparison with sham. That in YLZ-treated showed slightly increased in comparison with control. Trabecular bone area as well as trabecular thickness in control group showed significant decrease in comparison with sham. Those in YLZ-treated showed significant increase in comparison with control. Trabecular number and did not significant change among the three groups. Trabecular separation only in YLZ-treated showed significant decrease in comparison with control. Osteoclast number and oseoblast surface in control group showed significant increase in comparison with sham. Those in YLZ-treated showed slightly decreased in comparison with control. According to the above these results, YLZ has shown to be capable of preventing and curing osteoporosis caused by old-aged and postmenopause.
The endless hot rolling has been focused as an innovative process technology for increasing the productivity drastically and reducing the imperfection of quality in hot rolled steel strip. To realize it in actual mill, a lots of new facilities such as bar coiler, movable LASER welder and high speed strip shear should be equipped. And also it is necessary to develop the control technique for changing the roll gap and rolling speed during rolling, which is named as Flying Gap and Speed Change control technology. To prevent a strip rupture caused by excessive tension, it is very important to minimize fluctuations in strip thickness and intension during FGSC control. In this paper, the mathematical model for FGSC control algorithm was suggested and dynamic simulation is performed to accertain the effect of suggested control method on fluctuations in strip thickness and tension. For endless hot rolling simulation, a lots of FGSC control situations, for instance - strip thickness change from strip to strip - strip width change from strip to strip - carbon content change from strip to strip are considered.
A lane change maneuver is a part of lateral control of an automated highway system. Assuming no direct measurement of its position during transition from one lane to another. A vehicle is controlled to follow the virtual desired trajectory using only on-board sensors. This paper investigates the development of a fuzzy controller for automated lateral control during emergencies. The performance of the fuzzy controller is presented at 20m/s for a step lane change and a double lane change. The robustness of fuzzy controller is investigated with respect to change in tire parameters and the number of passengers.

The grade change operations In paper mills exhibit inherent nonlinear dynamic characteristics. For this reason, the conventional model predictive control techniques based on linear process models are not adequate for the grade change operations. In this paper, a bilinear model for the nonlinear grade change processes was presented first and optimal input variables were calculated by using one-step-ahead predictive control method. Numerical simulations showed that the control performance lied within acceptable range and that the bilinear model predictive control scheme was highly promising control strategy for the grade change operations.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare variables related to weight control between normal weight and overweight/obese female adolescents. Methods: This study is a supplementary analysis using a total of 293 female adolescents in Seoul. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires on the topics of stages of change, processes of change, and the decisional balance pertaining to weight control. Body weight and height were also measured. Results: There was a significant difference in the stages of change between the normal weight and overweight/obese groups. Of 12 processes of change, 9 processes were significantly higher in the overweight/obese group than in the normal weight groups. Also, female adolescents who were overweight or obese had significantly higher pros and eating efficacy scores comparing to those in the normal weight group. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that overweight/obese female adolescents, especially those in the action stage need supports to continue their weight control behaviors. In addition, a weight control program for female adolescents should emphasize their participation in physical activities in addition to their dietary control efforts.

In this paper, a marionette control system using wrist and finger gestures through an IMU sensor is studied. The signals from the sensor device are conditioned and recognized, then the commands are sent to the 8 motors of the marionette via Bluetooth (5 motors control the motion of the marionette, and 3 motors control the location of the marionette). It is revealed that the degree of freedom of fingers are not independent from each other, therefore, some gestures are hardly made. Gesture mode changes for difficult postures of the fingers in cases of a lack of finger DOF are proposed. Therefore, the gesture mode change switches the assignment of gesture as required. Experimental results show that gesture mode change is successful for appropriate postures of a marionette.
