무인헬기 부착용 원심식 볍씨 살포 장치에 관한 연구 (Investigation of Centrifugal Rice Seeder for Unmanned Helicopter)

  • Purpose: While an unmanned helicopter has been extensively used for spraying chemicals on agricultural crops, its low utilization (two months per year from July to August) has recently become an issue. This study aimed to increase the utilization of the unmanned helicopter. The centrifugal rice seeder, a mounting device for rice seeding for unmanned helicopter was developed and assessed its performance. Methods: The concept of the centrifugal spraying device was to obtain design criteria for centrifugal distribution. Four types of blade shapes namely straight, curved, straight wing and curved wing were developed and used. The rotational speed of the blades was tested at 1,000, 1,200 and 1,400 rpm. Results: The blade shapes, rotational blade speed and angle of trajectory were theoretically analyzed and results were validated with a series of laboratory experiments. Conclusions: The curved wing blades provided the distribution uniformity (DU) at 1,200rpm of rotational speed and 60 degree of seed drop point. The spray uniformity of 4.2% was also achieved.

CFD에 의한 선박용 유수분리기의 유동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristics of Oil-Water Separator for Marine Ship CFD)

  • The centrifugal separator which uses gravity separation method for oil-water separation, rotating at high-speed, is one of the most commonly used device for controlling the amount of the oil in waste water collected in bilge. The IMO (International Maritime Organization) has set regulations, also known as MARPOL 73/78, for the prevention of marine pollution. In addition, DET NORSKE VERITAS (DNV) has set standards regarding the assignment of Environmental Class Notation, CLEAN or CLEAN DESIGN, of ships. One of the requirements for classification is that in addition to conforming to MARPOL 73/78, more stringent measures must be taken as well. One of these measures is to limit the oil concentration in bilge water to less than 5ppm. So in this study, an Oil-Water Separator (OWS) is used together with multiple separating plates as a filtration system to be used as an oil-water separation device. The OWS operates using centrifugal separation in which the mixture is separated by centrifugal forces. The main purpose of this paper is to present the OWS separation efficiency according to the rotation speed, mass-flow rate, the angle and the number of stacked layers of the laminated plate using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Improvements to the device will be investigated from these results.

다목적 최적화 기법을 이용한 고출력 원심압축기 형상 최적설계 (Shape Optimization of High Power Centrifugal Compressor Using Multi-Objective Optimal Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 원심압축기 임펠러와 디퓨져 블레이드 형상을 반응표면법과 다목적 유전알고리즘 기법을 사용하여 최적설계 연구를 수행하였다. 임펠러와 디퓨져의 블레이드 선단과 후단의 각도와 두께를 3 구간으로 나누어 설계변수로 적용하였으며 수치해석은 상용코드인 ANSYS CFX 를 사용하였다. 실험계획법 중 많이 사용되는 중심합성계획을 이용하여 총 45 개의 설계점에 대한 값을 계산하였다. 계산된 결과를 바탕으로 반응표면을 생성하였으며 반응표면은 최적형상의 임펠러와 디퓨져를 선정하는데 이용하였다. 최적설계의 전 과정은 ANSYS DX 를 사용하였으며, 최적화의 결과로 원심압축기의 주요 성능변수인 등엔트로피 효율과 압력회복계수가 각각 0.3%, 5% 향상된 임펠러와 디퓨져 블레이드 형상을 제시하였다.

  • 임펠러 및 플로팅 링 실의 형상이 원심 펌프의 성능에 미치는 영향을 수류 시험 결과를 토대로 연구하였다. 연구 대상이 된 펌프는 30 톤급 및 75 톤급 액체로켓엔진용으로 개발된 단단 원심형 펌프로 연소실에 추진제(액체산소, 케로신)를 공급하는 터보펌프의 일부이다. 펌프의 양정은 임펠러 출구 폭 및 날개 개수, 날개의 출구 각도의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 개발된 펌프는 플로팅 링 실의 간극에 따라 그 효율에 차이가 있었으며, 크기 증가에 따른 효율 증가 효과는 크게 나타나지 않았다.

Flow Investigations in the Crossover System of a Centrifugal Compressor Stage

  • The performance of the crossover system of a centrifugal compressor stage consisting of static components of $180^{\circ}$ U-bend, return channel vanes and exit ducting with a $90^{\circ}$ bend is investigated. This study is confined to the assessment of performance of the crossover system by varying the shape of the return channel vanes. For this purpose two different types of Return Channel Vanes (RCV1 and RCV2) were experimentally investigated. The performance of the crossover system is discussed in terms of total pressure loss coefficient, static pressure recovery coefficient and vane surface pressure distribution. The experimentation was carried out on a test setup in which static swirl vanes were used to simulate the flow at the exit of an actual centrifugal compressor impeller with a design flow coefficient of 0.053. The swirl vanes are connected to a mechanism with which the flow angle at the inlet of U-bend could be altered. The measurements were taken at five different operating conditions varying from 70% to 120% of design flow rate. On an overall assessment RCV1 is found to give better performance in comparison to RCV2 for different U-bend inlet flow angles. The performance of RCV2 was verified using numerical studies with the help of a CFD Code. Three dimensional sector models were used for simulating the flow through the crossover system. The turbulence was predicted with standard k-$\varepsilon$, 2-equation model. The iso-Mach contour plots on different planes and development of secondary flows were visualized through this study.

원심유동층에서 Al2O3의 기포 거동에 관한 연구 (Bubble Behavior in Centrifugal Fluidized Bed of Fine Particles)

  • 직경 340mm, 높이 195mm의 원심유동층에서 10.5${\mu}m$와 21.5${\mu}m$의 평균직경을 갖는 $Al_2O_3$를 유동물질로 하여 400, 600, 800, 1000rpm으로 기포의 거동을 규명하고자 2중사진 촬영에 의해 유동가시화현상을 실험하였다. 실험결과, 본 실험 범위에서 원심유동층에서 기포의 거동은 회전수에 영향을 받는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 회전수가 증가함에 따라 기포가 발생하기 시작하는 속도는 증가하였으나 기포의 직경은 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었고 기포의 크기는 상대적으로 작게 나타났다.

두 개의 셔터 구멍이 적용된 원심식 비료 살포기의 살포패턴 분석 (Spray Pattern Analysis for a Centrifugal Fertilizer Distributor with Two Shutter Holes)

  • In this study, the spray pattern of a centrifugal fertilizer distributor with two shutter holes was analyzed and an effective driving width that satisfies proper spray uniformity was derived. The centrifugal fertilizer distributor was mounted on a tractor with a rated power of 23.7 kW and static and dynamic spray pattern tests were performed according to the standard procedure proposed by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers Standard ASAE S341.5. The height of the fertilizer distributor was 80 cm from the ground and the PTO (power take-off) shaft speed of the tractor was fixed at 540 rpm. The fertilizer scattered in space was collected using 275 evenly spaced collectors at shutter opening ratios of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The spray pattern was analyzed via the amount of sprayed fertilizer at each collector location and the coefficient of variation was used as an indicator of spray uniformity. Using the analyzed spray pattern, the effective driving width that satisfied less than 15% of the coefficient of variation was derived for different tractor driving patterns (race track mode, back and forth mode). From the results, spray uniformity increased as the shutter opening ratio decreased. The largest effective driving width was 8 m at a shutter opening ratio of 25% for both driving patterns.

Multi-condition optimization and experimental verification of impeller for a marine centrifugal pump

  • In order to improve the performance of marine centrifugal pump, a centrifugal pump whose specific speed is 66.7 was selected for the research. Outlet diameter D2, outlet width b2, blade outlet angle β2, blade wrap φ and blade number z of the impeller were chosen as the variables. The maximum weighted average efficiency and the minimum vibration intensity at the base were calculated as objectives. Based on the Latin Hypercube method, the impeller was numerically optimized. The numerical results show that after optimization, the amplitudes of pressure fluctuation on the main frequency at different monitoring points decrease in varying degrees. The radial force on impeller decreases obviously under off-design flow rates and is more symmetrical during the operation of the pump. The variation of the axial force is relatively small, which has no obvious relationship with the rotating angle of the impeller. The energy performance and vibration experiment was performed for verifying. The test results show that the weighted average efficiency under 0.8Qd, 1.0Qd and 1.2Qd increases by 4.3% after optimization. The maximal vibration intensity at M1-M4 on the pump base reduced from 0.36 mm/s to 0.25 mm/s, decreasing by 30.5%. In addition, the vibration velocities of bracket in pump side and outlet flange also have significant reductions.

100MPa급 초고강도 원심성형 각형보의 설계 및 제작기술 개발 (The Development of a 100 Mpa Class Ultra-high Strength Centrifugal Molded Square Beam Design and Manufacturing Technology )

  • 본 연구에서는 원심성형 기법을 이용하여 구조용 콘크리트 각형보를 개발하였으며, 단면의 휨 강성을 확보하기 위하여 단면의 중 공률은 10 % 이하로 하며 이를 위하여 기존의 빈배합상태의 콘크리트가 아닌 고슬럼프(150~200 mm)의 물성을 가지며 설계강도가 100 MPa 이상인 콘크리트 배합비를 개발하여 적용하고, 원심성형 각형보를 제작하기 위한 특수거푸집을 제작하여 원심성형 각형보를 생산하였다. 생산된 원심성형 각형보는 원심성형 부재의 표준 휨 및 전단 시험기준에 따라 성능시험을 수행하였다. 4개의 시험체에 대한 정적재하시험 결과는 설계기준에서 제시하고 있는 단면의 공칭휨강도, 공칭전단강도 이상으로 나타나 초고강도 원심성형 각형보의 구조적인 신뢰성이 입증되었다.

원심팬 시스템의 공력소음 고신뢰 예측을 위한 수치 비교 연구 (Numerical comparative study on high-fidelity prediction of aerodynamic noise from centrifugal fan system)

  • 본 연구에서는 대상 원심팬 시스템에서 발생하는 유동 현상과 공력 음향 성능을 수치적/실험적으로 분석하고 다양한 수치 기법을 비교하여 평가하고자 하였다. 먼저 원심팬의 성능을 실험적으로 분석하기 위해 반무향실에서 음향 파워를 측정하였으며, 실험 결과를 통해 대상 원심팬 시스템에서 방사되는 소음 성능에 대한 유효 주파수 범위를 파악하고 이에 대한 수치 모사를 실시하였다. 수치적으로 유동 및 음향 파워를 분석하기 위해 Navier-Stokes 방정식과 Ffowcs Williams&Hawkings 방정식을 각각 유동장과 음향장의 지배방정식으로 사용하였으며, 음향장의 구현을 위해 가상의 음향 방사면을 설계하여 사용하였다. 고차 3차원 전산유체역학(Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD)와 연계된 Hybrid-CAA 기법을 사용하여 모사한 음향 파워 레벨과 소음 실험을 통해 측정한 음향 파워 레벨의 비교를 통해 사용된 수치 기법의 정확도 및 수치적 특성을 평가하였다.
